Due Process: A courtroom drama

Rate this book
Marcelino Vasquez was a hard-working family man from Coldwater, Arizona. He had a prosperous business and all the trappings of a successful life, including a beautiful house in the expensive part of town. But when he is served with a Summons telling him the government is taking away his home, Marcelino's world turns upside down. Congress had recently passed a law allowing the government to seize profits made from dealing drugs, and DEA task force agents were fingering Marcelino's house as being riches made from trafficking marijuana. The only problem--Marcelino, and his house, are innocent. When his court case ends in tragedy, Marcelino not only loses his home, he loses life as he had known it. Suddenly, the family man is left fending for his freedom from his prison cell, and the national media has become the judge of his guilt or innocence. With the help of his childhood friend, Attorney Jack McGrath, Marcelino uncovers a world of dirty cops, crooked agents, and a convict working off cases by planting false evidence. Will it be enough to get justice for Marcelino? Due Process is a nail-biting crime thriller, built upon real-world laws and legal tactics. Each page will have you If this can happen to Marcelino, can it happen to me?
