A charming story, filled with whimsical illustrations, follows a Mommy throughout her busy work day, showing that even though Mommy is busy, she always has time for her little child. Reprint.
I did like the book because it had a few rhyming words and it shows what a mom does through out her day. One thing I really like for the book was that instead of showing a human mom, they decided to show a cat mom. This way the children can use their imagination and they can think that animals also work to take care of their own children. This book is also relatable to the children because they can tell the teacher what their parents work in.
I think children will like this book because they can be able to act out the animals. They can also learn their colors with this book. This book will be good for a class activity because each page comes with a brief case flap that you can open and pull out something from it. The children can create their own glasses, notepad, calculator and other things they would want in their own briefcase.
A+ from Olive for all of the intricate props it comes with! Mom is impressed by the details and creativity of the book, and how relatively well it holds up with what I actually do at work 25 years later. Just swap out mail for emails and a few other things.
"I think she'll go to bed at the end." - an accurate prediction.
