This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read, and believe me I have read A LOT. I get new things out of it each time I read it. I now use it as part of my devotional each day. I am amazed by how it lays things out and speaks to me each time I pick it up. It teaches you how to become the right women instead of focusing on looking for the right man.

Read this book with a small group of single girls...made for some good discussion and provided a challenge to focus on making the best of the waiting time.

Lady in Waiting
This book gave me so much comfort and peace because it validates my feeling of longing for God’s Best 😆 in this time where ladies think their worth is dependent on having a relationship, marriage, and family, this is the perfect book to read.
For me, this book helped me understand this season of waiting, and why we should love, appreciate, and maximize this time of Single-blessedness! There’s nothing wrong with being single at all!
Following the story of Ruth, this book shared super relatable and comforting lessons!
My main takeaways are:
- this time of being single is time that we will never get back ever again! Dont waste it longing for the future! Maximize it instead on doing what God wants you to do!
- A love relationship isnt the only relationship that you need! Let us take this time to develop our relationship with our families, friends, loved ones, most especially our relationship with God!
- This time of single-blessedness is the time that we most have for ourselves. Once we get into a relationship, get married, and have our own family, it will require so much more of our time and our presence! The time for ourselves, our families, and God, will eventually be adjusted! Soo, maximize it and make the most out of this season. God can use us in sooo many different ways! Let us make ourselves available to God!
- A good reminder for me also that marriage and a family isnt all that we need in this life! There’s so much more to life than having a jowa!!
- To surrender this aspect of my life to God who is in complete control! No need to do things my way or to try so hard to find mr right! God’s power is limitless and no matter where you are or what youre doing, if it is within God’s will for us to have God’s best, He’ll surely make a way for it! So we must be at peace and leave this aspect to God! Location, age, time, God tells us not to worry about these!
- This is a season where God is also teaching us most! It’s a season where He is strengthening our faith and trust in Him! To be reminded that He alone is enough, our security is found in Him, not on anybody or anything else because He alone brings true satisfaction! 🥺
- Love that this book also teaches us how to prepare for the time when God gives us His God’s best! The book shared the kind of relationship that God designed for all of us to have - a relationship that is pure, glorifying, and centered on Him!
- At the end of it all, all we can really do is to trust God all the way, knowing He is never early or late! He is always on time!
So God, i pray You may only give me God’s best when You see me ready! ❤️

Great book, letting you know that its okay to be single and to come with terms that you may always be that way. God is your husband and if you are blessed to have an earthly husband, wait for God to bring him to you. Do not go searching for him. You may be ready, but the husband that God has for you may not. So be wait and enjoy single life, its a blessing.

SO good. Really allows you to evaluate your own heart and where your security, trust, and love rests. By then end, you will have to have asked yourself what you are chasing after in this life- a romantic relationship or Jesus. My conclusion-Our Savior is the only one who satisfies!

I might have given it a third star if it weren't for this one most ridiculous line:
"A woman cannot separate her emotions from her physical state. If a woman's emotions could be separated from her physical state, she would not struggle with PMS."
This was written by a WOMAN. Two women, at that, so I can't fathom why one didn't turn to the other at any point and say, "Hmm, this sounds extremely shaming and incredibly condescending, maybe we should revise this or cut it out altogether?"
The premise of the book is great. The execution is cringe. If I hadn't already read better books that make the same points, I could probably give this one more grace. Also realize this is an older edition and it may have been improved over the years.

Ideal para mujeres en cualquier etapa de su vida. Es un libro lleno de aliento, consejo y sabiduría, pero sobre todo, es un libro que nos apunta directamente a Cristo y nos anima a buscar y encontrar en él el amor verdadero que nos llenará y capacitará para amar a otros. Muy recomendado 💯

Loved this book.. I think I have the older version (first edition) so I am not sure how the new book differs, but I loved this book and can't wait to hold bible studies/small group studies with it. Every woman should read
