This is a series of short stories that pertain to the Deadlocked series. In this volume, there six stories that take place in the Deadlocked universe, and a seventh that is a continuation of The Body Farm from Broken Pieces vol 1.
The Fifth Floor This story tells the tale of the man who would eventually become a zombie and attack Laura at the end of Deadlocked 2. You'll learn his background, and how he was turned.
Graduation Day A young boy and his elderly father have been preparing for the apocalypse for years. Now that it's here, the old man severely alters their original plan, setting into motion a task that the boy is unsure can be completed.
Indiana Two heroin addicts are in a drug stupor when the apocalypse begins. They seek shelter from an eccentric priest at a nearby church, hoping that the man will save their lives.
Confession A dubious character looks up to the sky and confesses his sins in an attempt to reconcile with his lost mother. He admits to the murder of Terrence Johnston, the owner of the salvage yard that Billy and Laura went to in Deadlocked 2.
Poor Jerry In Deadlocked Broken Pieces volume one there was a story called Just a Secretary, about a woman that worked with David and her attempt to escape. This story is a continuation of Just a Secretary from Broken Pieces vol 1.
Salvage I did a poll on my site (www.arwisebooks.com) to find out which character people wanted to hear a new story about the most. Billy won, but just barely. Reagan was a close second, and I promise he'll get his due soon! Salvage reveals information about what happened to Billy, Kim, and Annie while Laura was unconscious on the boat, just before they arrived at the Johnston Salvage Yard.
The Body Farm 2 In Broken Pieces vol 1 there was a story called The Body Farm about a ten-year-old boy named Jimmy Harrison. He was tricked into spending a night at a Forensic Institute Body Farm, where dead bodies were left to rot. Now he's an adult, and it's time for revenge.
One of my favorites not only for fleshing out side stories of one of my favorite series, but mostly for the awesome short-story-in-2-parts: 'The Body Farm'. I LOVE that story!! Stephen King might have written it in his glory days.
