Rate this book
Our eyes are naturally attached to colours. Individually, colour elicits an incredibly broad range of emotions and responses in human. In profusion, they become a new vocabulary with distinct sensations, dependent on the context and use.

Looking at visual communication solutions based on a rich palette, PALETTE No.2: Multicolour amasses a hoard of identity systems, stationery, art direction, installations and environmental graphics that feature a blend of colours in one place. Through the colourful showcase, the title lends a striking perspective to what makes colour a practical and powerful tool to simplify ideas and catch people’s eyes from near and afar.

Multicolour is the sequel of Black & White from viction:ary’s colour-themed series, PALETTE, at the other extreme.

I read this in bed last night. It's a quick read -- extremely light on text, with a surprising number of spelling and grammar quirks. Of course, the pleasure of this book for me lay in its visual appeal, particularly the last section featuring a vividly painted car park installation, a rainbow-hued school in Paris and even a cheery bank building in Japan, which left me wishing that my little area of the world could show a bit more enthusiasm for brightening up its public spaces. A quick flick through the book is enough to satisfy my sweet tooth for eye candy.

I'll be flipping through and dipping into this book again whenever my world starts to feel a bit dull.
