Most of the main characters of the first stolen book end up at a 'Polebray'. As well as giving some more insight into this fascinating world, the regional polebray introduces some new characters, including one that has long since left Andolith, but has returned to the polebray as a worldly - and villainous - character.

The mystery begins about a third of the way through the book, at the end of the polebray and then I realise why the book is called 'Crypt of souls'.

It probably isn't necessary to have read 'Stolen' book one before this, but if you read this book on its own, you will have missed out on seeing the development of some of the main characters, like Stolen himself and his Lefollah background, and his relationship with Rioletta. Stolen actually kidnapped Rioletta - in a state of desperation - when they were both children and, as adults, Rioletta saves him from the punishment his Lefollah people have imposed on him for this crime.

Another fascinating read set in this place that, while it is fantasy, is looking more like it could well be our future here on Earth.

I received this book for review from Goodreads. I read book one and loved it. This one does not disappoint. Now I desperately need to get book 3 so I know how things end. This is a fantasy/drama. Great story, great writing!
