bought and read because im one direction trash. pretty sure its just a phase.

I decided to read “One Direction: The Official Annual 2013” basically because I’m a die-hard fan of One Direction! Why would I not!? Plus, it’s always interesting to see how well biographies are written, as they’re obviously not written by the actual person/s and to be able to compare them with the actual person/s writing, like I can do with this, as One Direction have written an autobiography.
This book falls under the Wider Reading category “A diary, autobiography, or biography” on the Bingo-Board. I thought this category was great, as it has so many possibilities, and I found it quite hard to choose which book I should do. I also wanted to do this book, as it was a biography, and like I stated before, I will be quite critical of this book as it isn’t an autobiography, and to be frank, some people who write biographies have no idea whatsoever what they’re talking about! But fortunately, in this case, this book was well done, and even had exclusive interviews with the members.
The ‘character’ I found most interesting was Zayn Malik. Zayn comes across as a very mysterious, sort of bad boy, but his exclusive interview shows his soft side for his friends and family, and the rest of the band members. Also Zayn reveals some very random things in the interview; like that he is double-jointed in his thumb and scared his sisters with it when they were little by popping it in and out, and also that he hates anything dance related and thinks it’s “awful”. One of Zayn’s nicknames in the group is ‘the vain one’ but I found it interesting that Zayn says he only think he’s a 6 or 7 out of 10 for being vain, and that it’s only because he’s in a boy band that he has to look smart. Oh Zayn!
My favourite quote in “One Direction: The Official Annual 2013” would have to be:
“I’d love to be doing a big world tour and still making great music” – Niall Horan (One Direction).
I absolutely love this quote because this book was written around the end of 2012 and it is extremely ironic because at the moment One Direction is on a huge world tour that will last 10 months, with them playing the biggest arenas and are the most popular boy band in the world! And the charts also say they make great music as they are number 1 in 37 countries around the world and some people have lined up for 5 days just to see them in concert!
I thoroughly enjoyed this biography! It was well written with the exclusive interviews, record breaks, quizzes, never before seen pictures, their story so far, their fashion style and much more! It didn’t quite compare to their autobiography, but it was a great book to read! I would rate “One Direction: The Official Annual 2013”, 9 out of 10! I would recommend it to any One Direction fan or any teenage girl if your into that kind of thing! :)

how i can read this ??? please help me

This annual features more new, interesting tidbits of being on the road and how they experienced their massive rise to worldwide stardom; but the photos all seem to be from two cheesy photo shoots, with maybe only two pages of candid/tour photos, which is disappointing.
The one page that sums up the past year was good, but as with other 1D books, they don't often seem to have much new to say, which makes Louis's answer to "If you could have anyone around for dinner, who would it be?" a standout: "I'd have an ancient Egyptian 'round because that sort of stuff fascinates me. I'd ask them how they built the pyramids and find out about their rituals and how they discovered medicines. I'd love to learn all about it." But then we also got to learn that Louis has smelly feet, some new information the fans may not have wanted to know? Obviously a good read for any 1D fan.
