Torture

Rate this book
Torture is indisputably abhorrent. Why, you might ask, would you even want to think or read about torture? Excellent summary of the history of torture and how it shapes today's practices. Needed for anyone who thinks torture can attain actionable intelligence, or supports the use of what the US calls 'enhanced interrogation'.

Excellent short introduction covering an impressive historical scope and range of topics in less than 100 pages. Great for teaching. Excellent bibliography.
