Grace Burke doesn’t need a thing.

She enjoys her quiet life in Fall Rivers, Colorado—running a bookstore and coffee shop with her cousin, Kate. The two have a successful business, a small circle of friends, and each other. What more could she want?

When the Anderson brothers move into the house across the street, it doesn’t take long for her to realize exactly what she’s been missing. At first sight, the youngest brother, Michael, captures Grace’s heart, and her quiet life is disrupted.

Then it turns upside down.

Grace isn’t the only one with eyes for Michael. Nina Sandler, one of Michael’s clients, threatens to come between them. When Nina can’t get Michael’s attention, she focuses on Grace—in a very dangerous way.

But love is never easy and if the best things in life are worth fighting for, then Grace must find the courage to fight. Not just for love and happiness but for her very life.

I'm a wife, mother of five, and an author only in my free time. I love movies, music, cheesecake, the color pink, and I've had a crush on Sylvester Stallone since Rocky III...I know, I can't help it.

"Saving Grace" is a story I've heard about recently in a reading forum due to an evil other woman (OW). There were a number of readers who thought she was one of the worst villains they've ever read and I definitely wanted to add this book to my reading list.

So after reading the blurb and this story, what do I think?

I think this first time author, J.M. Hill had a great idea, writing adult fiction that is clean (and I mean squeaky.) Hill introduces Grace, a twenty-something (her age wasn't specified) orphan who shares a house with her female cousin and together they own a bookstore/coffee shop in a Colorado suburb. A trio of three brothers move across the street and once Grace makes eyes with the youngest brother, Michael, she was struck down by his awesomeness.

From that moment on, the reader is clobbered over the head with the greatness of Michael, supreme deity in Grace's mundane life, and the love that Grace, his new acolyte, has and feels for him. It's so much she can't breathe or keep from blushing all the time.

And by mundane, I mean BORING. The first half of the story was S-L-O-W and by a little over half of this book, it speeds up from 1 mph to 3mph. Though the story is clean (I think I've watched dirtier Disney movies), there's no action, no reasoning to justify why Michael is so holy to Grace. He tells Grace what to think, how she should feel...and it was patronizing. I didn't see his greatness but shh...don't tell Grace, she might get me by blushing and gushing over his holiness.

And Michael and his other brothers, were like children especially Garrett the oldest at 26 who acted more closer to 6. These supposed grown men were able to move and work on their own but Grace and her cousin Kate cook for them. These two referred to taking care of their "boys". It was nauseating.

Also sickening, the syrupy sweetness of the story. They were too perfect and I counted the swear words for fun to help from rolling my eyes permanently into my head. ("Friggen" was used once and "hell" at least three times and...shh...witch minus the w and add the b was used TWO times, oh my!)

Grace cooked and talked about it a lot. She loved taking care of "the boys". She loved taking care of home. She came across as a middle aged housewife. There were more references to doing laundry than any passion she felt for Michael. Or is that too naughty? Grace had to discuss having her boyfriend sleep in her room with her cousin and his brother before letting Michael sleep over? Clean romances does not equal making everyone so cookie cutter clean and act as if it was the new millennium of "Leave It to Beaver". People are allowed to be flawed and even curse or drink alcohol. They won't be condemned...or maybe deity Michael might. (Drinking ginger ale out a champagne glass...really? *eye roll*)

I think the author should consider writing young adult since that's how the supposed adults in this story were portrayed. I'm a twenty something and I don't know any other twenty somethings that are so perfectly clean. Or maybe it's because I don't live in Colorado so I might not get the references. *shrug* The story if it cut down laundry and cooking recipes would be a lot shorter which probably wouldn't make the read as dragged out.

The villain wasn't as evil as I was lead to believe. She wasn't really a factor in this too long story. She just regurgitated the same lame insults a few times before she thrust into the extreme weirdly. Just as the weird love between a deity and the stereotypical martyr (Grace). Her behavior was just pathetic.

The pluses of this book: I learned a couple of new food recipes. And wearing sweaters can be sexy. Oh yeah!

Words & phrases I now cringe to read after "Saving Grace": grungy, sorry, "I love you, Michael", Grace, Gracie, holey, "My Grace" and "the boys".

I take away a star for the pace, a star away from Grace and her odd martyrdom/ mother-like role and another for Michael, he's not that great...to me anyway. Grace...she's another issue. The ideas for where the story could have gone leaves me with a rating of TWO STARS.

"There's no such thing as old-fashioned values. There are just values. Right has always been right and wrong has always been wrong...People have just lost sight of what's truly important."

I think this quote sums up the book in its entirety and is the reason as to why I loved the book SO much. Excellent writing with an excellent story and a closeness between characters that made them lovable almost instantaneously...

Grace Elizabeth Burke is a twenty-four year old bookstore/cafe shop owner with her cousin and best friend Kate. They're happy with the quiet life they lead in their small town. They are both talented, funny, love to cook, and love watching sports. Their daily routines may seem mundane to most, but the quietness and ease of the life they lead makes them happy...Until the Anderson brothers move in...

Three, count them THREE hot guys who move in across the street. And they happen to be brothers. It wasn't just their looks that got to me either. I mean of course they were hot, but they were also genuinely good hearted guys who had a great sense of closeness, humor, and an impressive understanding of the meaning of family. Kate being the more bold of the two decides that they should introduce themselves and upon meeting the brothers, the rest practically becomes history. The ease at which they rooted themselves into the story and into Grace and Kate's lives made you feel like they had always been around.

Garret, Miles and Michael Anderson became permanent fixtures; always eating their food, coming over to watch sports or just hanging out for the sake of hanging out. You get the pleasure of joining these characters on a road to happiness, and at sometimes what true happiness can cost.

"According to my uncle, most people-especially girls-tend to settle...Piece after piece goes to guy after guy, until all that's left are broken pieces that have been used. Used and given back..."

Grace's story was a story about love, life and loss. She had to deal with some grave unforeseen circumstances and struggle with the fear brought up by those circumstances. In doing so, she along with all of the ones she loves had to join in on her journey. There were times where I laughed, times where I cried, times that I was angry, and times that I just smiled at the greatness of the story that I was reading. I really enjoyed this book and think that if you want a good honest and pure story, then you will enjoy it too!

Forever Yours, Faithfully.

"It's because of you I can truly understand what these words even mean."

Saving Grace is a wonderful story about love. About finding the one person who doesn't cause you to settle for anything less than you deserve. About being genuine, and in doing so, how you can, sometimes, permanently affect others for the better...

Grace and her cousin Kate are so close they’re like sisters. They live together, run a bookstore/coffee shop, enjoy cooking, and watch sports religiously. They lead a happy, but relatively uneventful life. That is until the three gorgeous Anderson brothers move right next door. They immediately hit it off with them and before you know it their lives are filled with friendship, and laughter, and for Gracie, longing. She falls hard for Michael, the youngest of the brothers, and they form a close friendship. Grace want to tell Michael how she feels, but is afraid of what that will do to their friendship. Plus, there’s the issue of Nina, one of the Anderson’s clients. Grace knows Nina likes Michael as more than a friend, but she’s not sure if Michael feels the same. Nina makes it no secret to Grace that she doesn’t like her, and puts her down whenever she has the chance. Of course she only does this when Michael is out of earshot.

Finally, at the urging of Garrett, one of the Anderson boys, and Kate, Grace tells Michael how she feels and gets mixed signals back. Something holds Michael back but he won’t say what, and Grace wishes she never said anything in the first place. Add to that, Nina steps up her hate campaign. Michael finally notices what’s been going on, and he takes immediate action, which infuriates Nina, pushing her over the edge.

Saving Grace was a sweet romance, but also a suspenseful read. I seriously felt shades of Fatal Attraction, and I have to say, it creeped me the hell out! I enjoyed the friendships between the Anderson brothers and also, between Grace and Kate. Even though they weren’t sisters, they might as well have been. Family tragedy bonded these two together, and it was touching to see their unconditional love for each other. I loved the relationship Grace had with Garrett, the giant of a big brother she never knew she needed. I enjoyed the romance between Michael and Grace, as well. The gradual build from friendship to more, made their connection so much sweeter.

I enjoyed this story overall, but it took a while to get going. I felt the beginning to middle should’ve been shortened. Also, this read more like a journal that Gracie was keeping, and there was a lot of telling rather than showing. Once the story got going though, I was glued to the pages, anxious to find out what was going to happen next!

You know those books you read where you really want to give them fours stars, but it just wouldn't be fair to your other four star books. Well color me in a predicament because that's exactly how I'm feeling right now! Saving Grace was a book I'm glad I read. It's so close to getting that extra star that I can feel it copping a feel. That fourth star is like an "excited" puppy that I feel really bad shaking off my leg.

Let me start by saying this is a "clean new adult romance". Yes, I do read clean romances and most importantly I thoroughly enjoy them. Not all stories need sex. WAIT! Control-print-screen because yes I just said that! It is possible to have intimacy, passion and romance without sex. Not all authors can pull it off, but J.M. Hill did a fine job. However, I would have liked for her to address why Grace and Michael were waiting. Was it their values, upbringing, religion? I think it's a beautiful thing when two people wait, but I would have liked to know why.

One thing I loved about this book was the time and development the author took with the relationship. No insta-love here people. The "relationship foreplay" was amazingly done. However, the first half of the book did drag. I know, I know! I'm about to be frisked by the contradiction police. I loved the length of the relationship development, but the plot didn't develop in the same way. I needed more to be happening. If the author would have paced the first half like she did the second half, then this book would have been four stars easy! Garrett is who saved those first several chapters for me. His and Grace's friendship turned me into a giggling pile of goo. You're happy with them just being friends, but damn I wish she would have written in a girl for him. I want a Garrett!!

I can't say enough about the second half, it was fast paced and a complete shock. I know the synopsis says danger, but I never imagined anything like that! Plus it brought out the alpha male protective nature of Michael and boy is that the way right down to my...heart ;-) It ended strong and I'm really glad I took a chance with Saving Grace. Curious to see what's next for Ms. Hill. READ ON!

This was a great read! I was sucked in from the first page and couldn't put it down. It's a well written story about the bonds of family and friendship, love and forgiveness and fighting for what you want without compromising your values.

All of these characters have strength and integrity but are not without their flaws, making them completely relatable. The romance is heart-achingly tender, builds at a good pace and the suspense had my heart in my throat.

I really enjoyed Grace's voice and she's a great example of true beauty. While she's outwardly beautiful, her willingness to see the good in people and situations is what I liked most about her. She also has a great sense of humor and her knowledge of sports makes her the dream girl of every jock that's ever donned a jersey and a foam finger! Grace is content with her small town life, living and working with her cousin Kate and doesn't seem to fluster easily, until The Anderson guys move in next door. Life as Grace knows it will be forever changed and her compassion will be tested in ways she never imagined.

The Anderson guys, consisting of twins, Garrett and Miles and their younger brother, Michael are forces to be reckoned with. Miles is good looking, intelligent, kind and caring and Michael is, well, he looks like he stepped off the cover of G.Q. *fans face* He may be the total package but he's also a real gentleman and it's easy to see why women swoon over him. *swoons* Michael has trouble holding onto things longer than necessary but Grace might be exactly what he needs, even if he doesn't realize it yet.

All of the Andersons are the kind of men you can bring home to meet the parents which was refreshing but my favorite was Garrett! I *hearts* him! He's hilarious and vaguely resembles a giant teddy bear who will eat you out of house and home if you aren't careful. *offers him brownies*

None of these characters are immune to pain or loss and even struggle at times with making the right choices where the heart is concerned. One of my favorite conversations is between Grace and Michael as she's explaining the importance of not "selling out" or compromising what's important and why...

“Well, according to my uncle, most people— girls especially— tend to settle. Settling for the first guy that says she’s beautiful, or the first guy that gives her attention. “She gives pieces of herself away to each guy, searching for that one guy. The one guy who thinks she’s truly beautiful, seeing her inner beauty more than anything else.”

I watched him carefully, wondering if he thought I was insane. “She gives piece after piece, to guy after guy, until all that’s left are broken pieces that have been used. Used and given back. Then one day, the right guy does come along, but there are so many pieces, she has to be put back together. And even though she can be put back together, the scars from stitching those broken pieces together, are there forever.”

I really enjoyed reading "Saving Grace" and it just so happened to be my 100th book this year! *crowd goes crazy* (OK, so, maybe just my Mom but still.) 100 books deserves some kind of celebration with food, music, and prizes, right?! Hang on a second...I think I can hear Garrett voting "YES!" to the food part. *giggles* *hands him the entire plate of brownies* ;)

Where to begin with this review? Well this book had a couple of things going for it.

Firstly it totally gripped me right from the beginning.

Secondly it was so funny, I laughed while I read the book. The sarcasm was well done and simply just Graces way of thinking was hilarious at times.

Thirdly, The storyline and plot was good. Simple, but well plotted and planned.

Fourthly, The characters were great. Every single one of them. Well written dialogues between them and I honestly felt as if I knew them.

Fifthly, The writing style was great. It was easy to follow and simply done with such a smooth flow from page to page. I loved that there wasn't any overuse of big words to confuse you and the book focused on the characters and story rather than boggling your mind with crazy words.

Now… what didn't work for me? Keeping in mind that I really liked the book, so even with what I found lacking, it's still a great read.

So… What I found unrealistic was the lack of sexual content or references. Especially considering that we are talking about 2 grown woman and 3 grown men and it was way to weird that not a single sexual joke, innuendo, reference or anything else relating to sexual nature was even brought into the book. Yes, there was, almost at the end, a question Grace posed to Michael asking him if he found her attractive, but that was it. Everything else was simply to innocent throughout the entire book.

Now I'm not saying that every book should involve couples having sex, but surely guys and girls between the ages of 20 and 30 must have some sexual thoughts or actions at some point right? Isn't that just realistic, considering the times we live in? I can't really explain it, but this fact made the book really young in my opinion and that's the reason it's not a 5 star for me. Maybe I sound ridiculous because not everything is about sex, but a book should be completely relate-able and totally believable for the reader to really live themselves into it and thus the lack of any sexual content, I'm sorry to say it, just made the book a little to plastic for me.

But other than that, I have nothing bad to rant about concerning Saving Grace. It was really a great book and I'm glad that I spent precious book reading time giving it my attention.

Saving Grace by J.M. Hill was a heartwarming romance novel. After reading a bunch of emotional rollercoaster romance novels, Saving Grace was exactly what I was looking for. It's a super sweet story with a fun, suspenseful twist!

Saving Grace was a well-written story by a fresh, new voice. Ms. Hill created a beautiful story about loss, guilt, love, family, and relationships.

Honestly, the first half of this novel was my favorite. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching them establish their friendships and relationships. All of the main characters were extremely cool and down to earth. They are the types of characters that you can see yourself hanging out with. I especially enjoyed watching Grace and Michael dance around each other. There one-on-one moments were some of favorites. I enjoyed the second half of the novel, just not as much as the first half. The second half of the novel was a lot more... serious. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I was glued to the book from start to finish.

Although the characters are in their mid-twenties, I would recommend this novel to young adults and adults. It's a clean, heartwarming novel romance that is perfect for everyone.

I gave Saving Grace by J.M. Hill 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). I strongly recommend this novel.

-XOXO

Saving Grace is a clean story of cousins Grace and Kate Burke who not only live together but also own a bookshop/coffee shop in Colorado. The girls have lost their family due to tragedy and illness and live a pretty uneventful but happy life. Their relationship is beautiful and dependable.

Their world and family grows with the arrival of their new neighbors three brothers Garrett, Miles and Michael Anderson.

Grace and Kate hit it off from the get go with the brothers and they fall into deep friendship. The five of them do an awful lot of eating, watching sports and movies.

Grace questions whether or not to risk her friendship and reveal to Michael her feelings for him. There is also a client of the Anderson’s named Nina who seems to have staked a claim to Michael. When Michael lets go of his past and pursues more with Grace Nina unravels.

Grace isn’t broken and does not require actual saving. She is beautiful and strong and loves her friends with every part of her being. The author does a great job gradually developing both friendships as well as love connections.

My favorite character was definitely Garrett Anderson. I wish I could give him a big hug and invite to my house to watch the game.

Is this a Christian love story cos I found it a bit twee and implausible that the love interests did very little loving IYKWIM. Looking through my notes I was exasperated reading it. They seemed to live a BORING life! FFS, if you cant let loose on New Years Eve when can ya?!
How two 'independent' (but clearly not worldly) business women allowed themselves to be sucked into cooking, cleaning etc for a family of three brothers is beyond me!
For a while I thought that Garret was the simpleton oversized brother in the family- his alarming love for Food and Grace in that order was something else!
Michael was the male equivalent of a twin-set preppy, perfect country club woman. The man doesn't know how to make a move!!
BUT Having said all of the above, I liked Hill's style of writing and I would like to read something else by her... something a little more realistic.

This story is one that you will forever remember.

It is simple, beautiful, elegant...stunningly written. Words can not express the love, happiness and fulfillment that this story has brought me.

It is a YA novel - so do not expect a sub-par story with a shit load of raunchy sex to make up for the lack of substance.

I hate spoilers and giving details away - but PLEASE BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY...YOU HAVE TO FREAKIN READ THIS!!!

I had no idea what to expect when I started reading this book. I honestly bought it because it was on others peoples TBR list and I saw it had made the lists for a couple of my favorite bloggers. Add to that the amazing cover and I was sold.

How happy was I to find that I really loved this story. I took a risk and it paid off. I loved Grace! I found I had a lot in common with her, "Yes, I like football. I'd always felt a little insulted when guys presumed I didn't like sports just because I was female." (Meanwhile I am writing this review while watching the NFC Championship game.) So, J.M. Hill wrote a female lead who knew football, and was a Yankee fan...I can overlook the fact that she was a USC fan (as I'm an Irish fan) and a Broncos fan because she was in Colorado, and be totally sold on the chick that loves sports and quotes The Replacements "Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever." I was in love. Also, Grace loves books, ummm...is it possible that she is my best friend soul-mate? She is one of those characters I wish was real so I could be friends with her.

On top of that, there is not one, not two, but THREE hot guys that are all amazing in personality as well. WHAT IS NOT TO LOVE?!?

Oh, the crazy girl - yeah I guess I didn't love her so much!

There is so much love and loss that has happened in the lives of all of the characters in this book. And even though they have every right to be angry and/or bitter, they've found a way to be thankful for what they do have. I found this to be the best quote to fit that, "I wanted to comfort him in some way, but I knew when you've lost someone you love, comfort was difficult to find. It doesn't matter if it's one year or eight, the heartache is always there."

I read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down. I will definitely be waiting to read the next book, Garrett's story because I absolutely adored him.

I also want to love J.M. Hill a little extra for sending the Jets to the Superbowl in this book...it may not ever happen in my lifetime but I actually did let out a little cheer when I read it. :)

I was very lucky to be gifted this book by the super sweet author Julie Hill. She did a phenomenal job with character development. I wanted to be best friends with all of the Anderson brothers. The relationships formed between the girls and brothers sucked me in and made me want to jump right into the story and wrap myself around all of those beautiful boys. The story started off with a bang and there is no way that anyone who reads the first chapter will be able to put this one down. The love story was sweet and I loved the twist the story took with evil Nina. I was left wishing there would have been a little more action ((wink, wink)) with the couples, but hopefully in the next installment Julie will take us there! Four and a half stars and a must read!! Thank you so much Juile for sharing this beautiful story with me!

I received a free issue from the author , that said I hate to give negative review. I would have rather just not reviewed the book.

Way too much time was spent on character development and I still feel like we really didn't get to know them. The basics for each character were there but that was it. The author didn't seem to know how to transition from one thought to the next so it seemed the story was stuck at times. Stuck for many pages. There was supposed to be a love story that was boring and just a bunch of i love you's. The arc of the story was a bit surprising but then it fizzled and the story was stuck again until the last 10 pages.

Good premise, potential for good characters but fell short. I caught myself checking how many more pages were left until it ended.

What a great simple beautifully written love story. The writer was very smart with her prologue and sucked you in from the beginning. I kept trying to figure out how that was going to fit into her story and by the time I got to that part of the story I was sucked in. Recommended for all who want a great wholesome love story.

Well done Julie Hill! Saving Grace is exactly the kind of book that is right up my literary alley. Hill starts out by introducing two very independent and strong ladies, Grace and Kate. Even though they are cousins, the death of both sets of parents has brought them even closer and their characters read more like sisters. Together they live a nice quiet life, running their bookstore and coffee shop when in comes the Anderson brothers, three good looking young men who move into the house across the street from them.

All three brothers are introduced to the story with the woman “discreetly” watching them when they first move in. “Well whoever they are, I hope they’re friendly.” She’d barely finished the sentence when we heard the low rumble of a car engine come up the drive. Kate’s eyes widened with excitement, and I’m sure I mirrored her expression. In a flash, we were both off the couch, peeking through the blinds. Lucy and Ethel. I could totally picture me and a gal pal doing the exact same thing and just when you think you won’t get caught..you do! The three continued their discussion, then in a synchronized motion turned to face our house. The big guy said something that made the other two laugh. After a moment they stopped laughing and focused intently on our window. “Crap!” Kate threw herself against the side wall in an effort to hide. “Do they see us?” I couldn’t help but laugh out loud reading as the girls slide back into teenage mode full of giddiness and giggles.

Garrett is the first brother the ladies actually meet, and I’ll admit, while the other two brothers, Miles and Michael are great, Garrett is my favorite! He is the kind of guy I could see myself totally having a blast with! Miles and Michael are the more serious of the three, Garrett is the kid at heart. At one point in the book, Garrett and Grace were just hanging out watching movies and I was a little jealous, I wanted to be lounging around with them, joking around, feeling completely at home. Garrett is also fiercely protective! He becomes a kind of guard for Grace when trouble arises in the book. I would like to have my very own Garrett please!

Miles is the middle brother and the peacekeeper. He is very levelheaded and good looking of course, he and Kate pair off almost instantly. Michael is the baby of the family and he and Grace seem to have an instant connection. Grace gets into trouble when she finally decides to pursue him, her life being threatened by crazy knife toting Nina, a business associate of Michael’s who has gone off the deep end. That is when you really get to see how tight this little (and I use the term little lightly) “family” has become. You get to watch the 5 characters in this book really come together and show that you don’t have to be blood to be family and you just don’t mess with family!

There is heartache and a sense of loss in the book and being the sensitive soul that I am, I definitely had my share of tears shed as I worked my way through it with the characters and when it all finally comes together, you can’t help but feel your heart swell for their happiness. While the story focuses on Grace, I could not help but get sucked into the lives of the other characters as well and once I had finished the book, I couldn’t help but wonder…is there going to be a sequel from someone else’s point of view, or a continuation of Grace’s story??? Please Julie Hill, can I have some more!

A sweet, magical love story!

Grace and Kate Burke are cousins who run a bookstore/coffee shop in Colorado. Despite having lost much of their family, their lives are full of friends and warmth and the jobs they love. Everything feels complete until the Anderson brothers move in next door and craziness ensues. And what girl wouldn’t feel crazy spending time with three guys, each one hotter than the next? It doesn’t take long for both girls to fall for the Andersons in every way. But Kate and Grace aren’t the only ones interested. Nina is one of the Anderson’s clients who seems to have a relationship with Michael, the youngest Anderson and the one Grace fears she’s falling in love with.

Saving Grace has everything a love story needs—chemistry, uncertainty, romance, and suspense. The characters are likable (well, except for Nina) and fleshed out. They seem like real people you’d want to know. Like many of the other reviewers, Garrett was my favorite! A huge, funny, lug of a guy you just want to hug. I wish I had a Garrett around, except I’m not sure I could afford to feed him! With fast, witty dialogue, even the small part characters come to life in this book.

Saving Grace is a heart-warming, sometimes heart-wrenching romance, not just about finding love but also about finding family. The action and suspense kept me turning the pages, although sometimes I had to have a Kleenex in my hand. I highly recommend this book to romance fans of all ages and hope Ms. Hill will weave new stories for many years to come.

I ADORED THIS BOOK!!! The dynamic between so many characters is a hard feet to pull of, however Julie has done a brilliant job of just that!!
TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN READ THIS BOOK!!!
FOREVER YOURS,FAITHFULLY.

Some of my favourite quotes;
"Now put this in the oven at three/fifty for about forty minutes" I instructed, hand the pan to Garret " the oven is the big silver box in the kitchen that gets very, very hot"

"There's no such thing as old-fashioned values. There are just values. Right has always been right and wrong has always been wrong...People have just lost sight of what's truly important"

"Good" then his lips were on mine.

Title Thoughts: Suiting.
Cover Thoughts: I really like it!

There were some things that I disliked about the book. After thinking about those things, I decided it was from where I was over thinking everything in the book. Honestly, I felt this could have been amazing without the twists. I'm not sure why, but those didn't add to the story, for me.

This is a very sweet love story. I have to say, sometimes, I felt as if it was a bunch of youngin's living together. I loved it, though! Garrett is by far my favorite character. He's the big brother of the family and just adorable and loving. Hill did a fabulous job with her characters. I do wish I could have seen more of Kate's and Miles' relationship, though. Anyway, I felt as if I were a part of the family while reading this. Some people may not like the fact that they are like children some times, but it's in the best of ways, in my opinion.

I will be waiting patiently to see what Hill does next. I will definitely be reading it because this was such a good read! I would like to say more but I don't want to add anything that could be spoilery.

Addict's Last Words: Saving Grace is a wonderful read!

To Buy or To Borrow: I enjoyed it enough that I wouldn't regret buying it instead of borrowing it.

This book was a clean, romantic novel. I read the book in a day. I liked all the characters. They all seemed to fit in the story. The family dynamic between the cousins and the brothers/parents was moving. I found myself smiling a lot while I read this book.

There were times when the book got a bit too mushy for me. It reminded me of sugar coated treats. How many times can Grace say she was sorry? But she was displaying a victim mentality.

Garrett's character reminded me of someone who is developmentally challenged. He didn't seem his age but he was adorable. He reminded me of a giant who was a kid at heart.

I enjoyed the music Grace listened to. Journey is one of my favorite bands.I was very surprised to read that grown men in their twenties would be happy watching movies like The Sound of Music or Fiddler on the Roof. It was as if these guys were a dream come true.

I was very happy the author didn't flaunt the wealth of the Anderson's. If she had it would have been a huge turn off for me.

Overall, this was a sweat romance novel with some romance thrown in. I enjoyed reading the story. I am looking forward to reading Garrett's story.

I was so happy when I started reading this book. I was instantly connected with the characters and I even shed a few tears. I loved the pace and direction for about 80% of the story. Then it just got to be too clean. I can’t think of another way to describe it. Don’t get me wrong I am all about old fashion romance and it was refreshing to see something less 50 shades (although I LOVED 50 shades). However, after a while the dialogue between Grace and Michael became simply boring. This book could’ve been so much better just by taking the relationship up just a notch. I give it a 3.8 star.

This book started off strong and was filled with so much potential...

But as I read on I found the story quite, well, boring.

I found the characters to be so squeaky clean it was almost unbelievable. We're talking about three guys and two girls that are in their mid twenties but they don't drink, swear, smoke, have sex (even sleep in the same bed if Mom is around...) I didn't find the characters relatable at all.

The action in the story comes in the second half of the book, but unfortunately it bored me as I continued to read on.

The story was just missing that something special and it prevented me from truly enjoying Grace's story.

My Rating: 2 Stars

This book was just too long. The premise was good, but it could've been edited and been more suspenseful. I kept waiting for something to happen and instead of the suspense building, it was just too long.
There was no sexual chemistry between the characters, just "I love you" constantly which becomes annoying. The other thing that bothered me was that she kept saying she was sorry for having nightmares over what happened but Michael never once says he's sorry for being the catalyst for the attack. There was just something missing from the story.

I liked this book. There is no sex or swearing, which I feel is something we're overly used to in novels. I can look past that. The writing itself was good and the characters were sweet. I was wishing for more tension in parts. Nina was my favorite character because she was bat shit crazy. I kind of wish the other characters were as interesting as Nina was. I also loved Garret and the dynamic between him and Grace. I really, really wish they would have made out or something at some point. I feel chemistry there.

Saving Grace was super sweet and squeaky clean. I enjoyed this novel and it was a nice change of pace for me. There were a couple of places where I would have liked the story to progress a bit faster. However it was nice that the characters took their time to develop feelings for each other.

Why then didn't I rate this higher? Well I am sure it makes me old and cynical but the emotions felt unrealistic for the ages of the characters and that held me back from fully engaging in the story. In short, it was a bit too sweet.

I really wanted to like this book because the prolog had me going from the start... but the main character Grace is not really relate-able. The author wasted so much time detailing how boring or plane Grace's life was she forgot to detail how much this person grew to love Michael and how she might have fantasized about him. Any woman who wants a man knows in her mind what she wants and how she feels. I'm not sure if this author is 18 or not? Maybe she's not old enough to go there.. but come on your characters were 24 and 25, not 12 and 13. It was a very odd read.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. What a beautiful love story. Grace and Michael were perfection, this book was perfection. Kate and Grace's Book store and coffee shop made we want to own a book store. I love my husband, but I want a Garrett! I loved Garrett, I want a Garrett!!!!!! You could not have written this book any better. I laughed, I cried, I generally could not put the book down. I would generally take any of the Anderson brothers! ADORED this book!
I hope her next book is on Garrett!!!!

I enjoyed this book for so many reasons. The characters were fantasic and I loved the idea of these two families blending into one. The love story of Michael and Grace might have been very slow to develop, but it felt right to me. There was so much to love about these three brothers and the two cousins that they lived across the street from. If you're looking for a great story with characters you'll instantly fall in love with, this is for you.
