The sun provides us with the light and energy we need to survive.

It also serves as the center of our solar system, with its gravitational pull keeping the planets in orbit. But what exactly is the sun? Readers (Grades 3-5) will explore how the sun was formed, what it is made of, and how its energy travels to Earth and the other planets of the solar system.

Purports to be a "true book" about the sun, but definitely has an (unsurprising) evolutionary perspective. This is a chapter book that was too advanced for my son, but it has nice pictures, so we skimmed it. There are better non-fiction books about the sun for kindergarteners.

Exploring our sun is a fun-to-read choice for today, the first day of summer. Its colorful and eye-catching illustrations teach us so much without us even realizing it. This book is a fascinating read for people of all ages who are interested in the sun or space.

I’ve read Hawkings, Tyson, Tegmark, Newton, Ravalli, Kraus and other famous physicists, this book did an amazing job and while geared to kids (probably 8+) it’s beneficial for adults as well.
I hope this books finds it into every school!
