This book is a simple and easy-to-understand guide on how you can make your money, no matter how little you think it is, grow. This book tackles topics such as mutual funds, the stock market, entrepreneurship, bonds, and almost anything you can invest your money into. These concepts may sound daunting to the layman who knows nothing about investments, but Colayco was able to make them engaging, bite-size and almost too easy to act upon (which they probably are, if you're up for the task).

I believe this book was really written with the Filipino wage-earner in mind. It has anecdotes, showing the different scenarios that unwise vs knowledgeable small-time Filipino investors have gone through. It has graphs and pictures. It sometimes has repetitive phrases, but they only seemed to emphasize rather than annoy.

I was most interested in its discussion about ages- about how I should be risking & investing more while I'm young, while placing my money into safer financial instruments as I get older (all the while reaping the benefits of my prolonged savings/investments during my younger years).

A very good read that got me motivated to take a second look at my expenditures xD a must-read not just for wannabe businessmen and stock brokers, but also to anyone who'd want to get extra cash on the side, but not wanting to take another job, nor work too hard for it. ;)

[This is the first DIY investing book I've ever read. This was actually required reading for a course of mine in college. I'm more than glad to have gotten a copy of this for my own perusal, and I'm infinitely thankful to the professor who asked us to buy a copy of this :)]

Excellent book! Took me awhile to finish it since it got stuck beneath some papers in my drawer (out of sight, out of mind) but when i started reading it again,i get amazed once more. Simply stated, very practical and super useful. I hope my husband and i could uphold these values up to retirement stage, and i recommend this book to young couples everywhere.:-)

Just like the first book, this book has emulated the style and the simplicity of that made the first book a success. For authors, it is really challenging to follow up a highly successful book with a sequel but with this, Colayco once again knocked it out of the park. Very easy to read and you can learn a lot about where to invest and how to save. A great book to read.

As someone with limited knowledge about finance and investing, I found this to be a good starter book. I’m usually not into self-help books because the information can be overwhelming, but this one was easy to follow and digest.

Honestly, I only finished it because a friend recommended and lent it to me, but I’m glad I did. It’s a simple, practical guide that makes financial concepts less intimidating.

An essential read for beginners. It covers a lot of topics that It doesn't expound much on but explains it enough for readers to understand the basics, and provides a good jump-off point if ever the reader wants to explore a certain topic more.

Not really for broke 20 yr olds in med school, although it's a good start. Something I should prolly read after graduating.

I rated it 3 stars because Colayco's advice involves too much of depriving yourself some things that would actually make you feel better (eg not celebrating).

After reading Francisco Colayco’s first book, I quickly got hold of his second book. Like the first, this book is enriching especially to those people who want to balance their finances. Same with its predecessor, the examples, which modern day Filipinos in particular are experiencing are very “right on the money.”

Colayco’s financial literacy books are among the first in the country. Another must-read of its kind!
