At first I liked this oracle deck set because I found myself feeling educated learning different Hawaiian words, and stories along with each card. Then something kept feeling off to me in the stories, like the author was trying to squeeze in too much information into just a few short paragraphs and the essence of the true stories were lost. It’s very academically written.

Having said that, I do love the artwork, and the interpretations section at the end of each reading are the parts I would read in a reading. I do think this set is good for someone without any former Hawaiian knowledge to begin learning some stories. But definitely don’t let it be your only resource for Hawaiian knowledge and stories, keep on learning.
