This book could probably be more accurately titled "A history of evangelism in the Sydney Anglican diocese and beyond." If you're looking for a biography of John Chapman, there is a more recent one that I suspect is more focused.
That said, this book gave me a great feel for "Chappo" whom I've heard much about over the years and a great appreciation for the maturity and wisdom he brought to evangelism in Australia. I found the discussions surrounding his application of Reformed theology to evangelism and his approach to the work of Billy Graham in Australia to be very enlightening and encouraging.
