This was a great review of the history of the modern world, its art and achievements. I had read this book many, many years ago. I enjoyed it then and I enjoyed it this time through. I recommend it to anyone who likes history and art.

This is a lushly produced volume, focusing on the Renaissance. There are many examples of the art of the era; there are photographs of landmarks and artifacts. This is a National Geographic publication.
