Boys of Beachville #3

Bad Girl Therapy

She might be calling the shots, but he’s playing for keeps.

Boys of Beachville, Book 3

Pro soccer star Cole Landon has women at his fingertips, but there’s always been one who was untouchable. Haley Jones, the high-school crush from the right side of the tracks—and way out of his league.

Sidelined with an injury, he’s cooling his heels in Beachville when he discovers his physical therapist is none other than the perennial good girl herself.

Bored with men who pay more attention to their smartphones than her, Haley longs for a summer fling that won’t risk her reputation. When Cole shows up in town, her hormones tell her he’s the one man who will scratch her itch without tarnishing her good-girl image.

No one’s more surprised than Cole when Haley suggests his private beachside cottage is the best place to begin his…therapy. Apparently money really can buy love. She wants to play? Then play he will.

As hot days turn to scintillating nights, Haley begins to realize there’s more to this playboy than meets the eye. Until Cole gets news that could put them once again on opposite ends of the playing field.

Certain elements of this physical therapy can result in sweating, panting and unusually high heart rates. The therapeutic value of massage “therapy”, in particular, is increased levels of endorphins that act as a pain reliever. For excessive swelling, lie down and take 2x daily (or as many as you can get!).

I’ve enjoyed the Boys of Beachville and Bad Girl Therapy is the perfect addition to this amazingly sexy series. This is book number three and I found myself not only enjoying Cole and Haley but getting to catch up with the couples from the first two books as well.

Cole Landon is a pro soccer star who is recovering from an injury that could cost him is career if his physical therapy doesn’t work. Finding out that Hayley Jones, the girl he’s had a crush on since high school, is his new physical therapist throws him for a loop. When she lays her hands on her in his first session he knows that keeping his distance is going to be impossible. He’s always thought he wasn’t good enough for Hayley. He comes from the “wrong side of the tracks” and she’s the town’s good girl but when she makes some teasing remarks during his session he begins to wonder if there’s more to her than meets the eye.

This is a novella that moves quickly but that didn’t keep me from falling in love with these characters. Cole is a great guy; he takes care of his family and worries what will happen if he can no longer play, he’s a good friend, and as we find out quickly an intuitive and caring lover. Hayley starts out just wanting a fun weekend of wickedness and to show Cole she’s not the good girl everyone thinks she is. She soon realizes that she’s been dating the wrong kind of men. I like that Hayley is concerned about Cole’s injury, even though they seem to forget about it during their weekend she proves that she really does care what happens to him. Her selflessness putting Cole’s needs above her own make me like her even more.

In addition to some very hot and very intense love scenes between Cole and Hayley. We also see that Sean and Madison as well as Carter and Allison are doing just fine as well. I really adore series that check in with previous couples and let us in on what’s happening in their lives.

Bad Girl Therapy is the perfect book when you are short on time but need a quick steamy fix. I loved every minute of this story and can’t wait to who’s up next!

I have yet to read a book by Ms. Fox that I didn't like! This was no exception! Another hot and steamy quickie in the Boys of Beachville series. Great story for such a short read!

[SPOILER] This last book in the series is about Cole and Haley. It is short, hot and easy to read. I couldn't put the book away, but I wouldn't read it again.

She’s the good girl with a powerful family and he’s the bad boy with a powerful attraction to her. When Haley sees Cole again after a few years things have definitely changed. She’s no longer the shy girl no one invited to parties because of her high-profile background and he’s no longer the poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but he’s still the same bad boy he once was and Haley’s done waiting to be noticed.

Cole always thought Haley was too good for him, so he stayed away from her. Staying away is what he needed to do, but not necessarily what he wants and when she becomes his physiotherapist the choice is taken from him. Now she’s giving him personal attention and making moves like she might be interested or is she still just too good to be true? While Cole tries to figure Haley’s true intentions, there is no mistaking the physical attraction they have for each other. So who’s to say working off a little sexual tension while doing his physiotherapy exercises isn’t just what the doctor ordered?

From the onset of the story, it reads quickly, which I felt slightly hindered the getting-to-know-you phase with the characters. It reads more like a tell and not enough show kind of story, so we’re told about each character’s attributes and their feelings instead of being shown by their actions and dialogue. It’s by no means a bad read and this story will definitely hold appeal for readers wanting something quick and dirty that gets right to the point. And I liked the fact that Cole and Haley have known each other a while, so that helps offset some of the surprising lust rush to sex.

Speaking of sex, when Cole and Haley get it on they connect physically very easily before complicated emotions got involved. In the beginning, Cole and Haley are just waiting to see which of them will make the first move from all of their sexual teasing, but a couple of mutual friends unknowingly break that cycle by doing a little exhibitionism. That bit of voyeurism for Cole and Haley was enough to break their control and force a move they were both anticipating, but left them unprepared for the emotional fallout. The exhibitionistic/voyeuristic display isn’t graphic, but definitely sets the tone for the rest of Cole and Haley’s lust-fueled weekend.

It was nice to see the first two couples in the Boys of Beachville series reunite in this story. It’s just too bad the calendar shoot that’s part of the overall series plotline weren’t real because those photos sure would be smokin’ hot. However, I am enjoying reading the behind the scenes lust-to-love stories of the calendars’ featured bad boys and will definitely be continuing.

I like this series because it always manages to deliver a very hot and engaging story while still being short. I find them perfect for in between full length and maybe a bit heavier books because it'll put you in the "right mood" *wink wink*.

So the third story is about Cole Landon, pro soccer player, who is currently injured and in need of physical therapy so that he can hopefully go back to his job fully recovered. He's the guy from the wrong side of the tracks, soccer has given him a certain status that he didn't think he would ever get. And maybe that's why he feels now he can get the attention of girls he wouldn't have been able to think about when he was younger.

And first on that list is Haley Jones. His high school crush who was always out of his league. Except now that she's his therapist, he may have a chance.

Once Haley and Cole come together, they are hot and heavy....Did I mention hot? I liked the fact that there was some previous history at least of the attraction in the past, because that always makes these short stories more believable to me. Ms. Fox usually is good at that and this series always featured this type of scenario.

Then there's the fact that I really liked Cole. He's tough and alpha, self made, he's fought to be where he's at and improve himself. And he's now going full force ahead for what he wants. Haley.

I'm not sure if this series ends here or if there will be more shorts to come. Even though this might've not been my favorite of the three, I've had a great time reading each one of these stories and can't wait to see what Ms. Fox comes up with next.

Injured Pro Soccer star Cole Landon wasn’t expecting his high school crush Haley Jones to be the one attending to his care. Her touch is smooth and creates a riot within for Cole and with each subtle touch comes suggestive hint that his feelings of attraction to her may not just be one sided.
Haley is tired of being set aside by smartphones while in the company of the men in her life. Cole ignites her like no man ever has, she wants Cole and when she realizes that her little fling is becoming so much more, they both have to decide if the girl from the right side of the tracks is willing to cross over.

When Haley goes to Cole's cabin with him for a weekend of fun, the heat ramps up pretty quick! Fox delves right into the sexual tension from the get-go making it impossible to ignore the sensual heat and explosive chemistry between Cole and Haley. With creative uses of board games and flirty teases with exhibitionism, Fox will not let readers down with this short, but scorching read! In this game of love and seduction, will Haley score and win Cole's heart?
