The Coldest Night
During the coldest winter on record, an EMP sends American back into the Stone Age. Jack and his family find sanctuary in their cabin in a small, remote town, hidden deep in the forest. Little does Jack know the Blizzard will be the least of his problems.
Too many errors, mispellings, ect to get through after Book 1. The female lead character is strong and likeable. But she feels a shutter go through her. If I had a shutter go through me, I need to be in the ICU, or a morgue, but this is a EMP novel. So I just noped myself out for the second book. Too many other books on the tbr list.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these books and the author brought such realistic ideas of what people can and would get up to— both good and unfortunately, BAD…in a world taken down in such a way as an EMP. Too bad that people’s bad sides have to show up at times like this, but it’s the way some people have been raised sadly.
I couldn’t read very far, it was redundant and predictable writing. The leading character was so much the savior and those surviving with her were minimized. It was weird while in a dramatic moment, her ex-boyfriend was referred to as “the man.”
