If Brandee Hanson ever wants to go from waitress to photographer, she'll have to take some once-in-a-lifetime shots. But when she catches the gorgeous private investigator, Nick Wolfensen, on camera— transforming into a werewolf—she is thrown into a world of vampires, shapeshifters, and other paranormal misfits.
In order to keep his secret and stay clear of the supernatural council, Nick will have to convince Brandee not to release the photo. Fortunately, he was looking for an excuse to spend more time with the beautiful waitress anyway.
Ashlyn Chase has been a registered nurse for 20 years. During those years, she wrote articles for professional journals and a thesis, but eventually, thank goodness, discovered the joy and freedom of writing fiction.
Ashlyn considers herself lucky. Her degree in behavioral sciences is a combination of psychology and sociology, so she has worked with and studied people most of her life. She never has to write out exhaustive character sketches to understand her characters or predict how they will behave. That doesn't mean they don't surprise her. Sometimes they take her on grand unexpected journeys. For her, it gives "character driven novels" a whole new meaning.
Ashlyn has learned to go with the flow. To enjoy the journey is not only one of her writing goals, but also a challenge in life so she tries to follow where the story takes her. As such, she has lived in 17 different places over the years. At last, she's all settled down and comfy in New England.
Is there a grand design or do we decide our own fates? Perhaps if the powers-that-be have a plot, then they also give us the right to revise it. Ashlyn has certainly made detours on her path, but she thinks she's better for it. She's having fun at any rate and hopes that if she enjoys the journey, so will those around her—including her readers.
"Flirting Under a Full Moon" is a paranormal romance with a temperamental heroine, a highly possessive hero and plot lines flitting off in different directions. Private investigator Nick Wolfensen who specialises in supernatural cases, has been hired to find a missing girl. He makes the mistake of discussing the case with the resident psychic in the supernatural bar he frequents. Brandee, nosy waitress and wannabe photographer insists that he let her help. I found it difficult to engage with this novel as it was all over the place.
Despite telling Brandee to butt out, she follows Nick and snaps photos of him transforming which is enough for Mother Nature to get involved and threaten him. Nick however has just decided that Brandee is his life mate. He develops some very stalkerish behaviours and possessive tendencies. He gets his friend to wipe her memory and when he gets a chance to have sex with her, he bites her to mate with her without the necessary explanation beforehand. Brandee acknowledges the creepiness of this but still ‘loves’ him. Why? She is a bit TSTL when it comes to dealing with the supernatural. When she finds Nick naked after a shift he tells her that he stripped so he could cover himself in baby oil to get through a window. FYI worse excuse ever!! She actually buys it though. Nick impresses on her the importance of keeping his secret actually secret but she makes a poor job of it and the cat is soon out of the bag. The missing girl is actually her niece but she finds it hard to concentrate on someone other than herself for too long so we lose a potentially interesting plot line. Brandee has a really irritating habit of replacing “oh my God” with “oh my something or other”. It isn't funny.
If the kidnapping and finding the person behind it had been the focus, then the book would have been far more interesting. Alternatively, time could have been spent rounding out the characters in a more meaningful fashion so that their relationship was remotely believable. I'm glad that Nick made his money before he became a private investigator as he is pretty dodgy at investigating. He’s lucky that every single clue comes to him courtesy of Boston Uncommon, the supernatural bar he hangs out in.
I'm going to finish with questions that were never really answered. Why does Anthony hire humans if the supernaturals are trying to stay under the radar? What was the baddie’s big plan? Why are do so many characters refer to events that probably should have been covered in an earlier novel? Why couldn't we stick with just one main plot line? Why is Brandee cool with Nick having her brainwashed? Why couldn't we have a HEA ending that didn't rely on magic to just sort everything out?
1. Idiot female MC who inserts herself in dangerous situations and believes anything the male MC says no matter how ridiculous the explanation 2. Idiot male MC who has decided he knows what best for the idiot female MC even though she was perfectly fine the first couple of decades of her life. 3. Random side characters that you can’t see how they fit into the story 4. A reason to roll your eyes Then read this book. And maybe you will finish. Cause I couldn’t.
Welcome to Boston Uncommon...the bar where everybody knows you're supe!
Brandee Hanson is an aspiring photographer working as a waitress at a local bar, Boston Uncommon. She's recently recovering from a bad breakup and has sworn off men for the time being. Brandee hasn't had much luck with men and is shocked when the bar's resident psychic, Sadie, reveals the next man to walk through the doors of the establishment will be her true love. When the infamous ladies man nicknamed 'One Night' Nick Wolfensen walks in, Brandee is positive the cards have failed Sadie this time.
Nick Wolfensen is no ordinary patron, he's an ex-cop turned private investigator who also happens to be a werewolf. Then again, Boston Uncommon is no ordinary pub, it's a vampire owned bar that is frequented by the paranormal community and considered a "save haven" among Boston's supernaturals. Needless to say, things get a little exciting for Brandee when she accidentally catches Nick on camera, shifting into a werewolf and learns the truth about her place of employment.
Flirting Under a Full Moon is a romance with paranormal elements filled with a few shifting sub plots that are sometimes hard to keep up with. A lot of information is introduced but not thoroughly explained, leaving you with a fair share of unanswered questions. There's plenty of mystery and mayhem incorporated in the story, but I would have liked a little less action and more romance between Brandee and Nick. I had a hard time connecting with their relationship because I feel it felt a bit rushed, sure they know each other a from Boston Uncommon, but true love after one crazy date? I'm not buying it...
I found Nick to be a little less alpha than I like in a werewolf, but he's a stand up hero with a good heart and a sense of humor. He's a protector, knows who he is and what he wants. Brandee on the other hand, is a confused mess who is newly reformed when it comes to swearing and replaces every swear work with some of the most ridiculous phrases instead. Now I don't need my heroine to have a trucker's mouth, but after the first couple of chapters she had me swearing out of frustration! It's safe to say we don't share the same sense of humor. Brandee was a little too hot and cold for me, one minute she's in love with Nick, the next she's yelling at him for being protective...she's a bit of a loaded gun. I enjoyed her fearless attitude and outspokenness in some situations, but she can be impulsive and immature sometimes which gets her into trouble more often than not.
What I truly love about Flirting Under a Full Moon is that it's set in the city of Boston. It made me reminisce about my college years in that beautiful city and gave the story a lighter feel versus a larger city setting, in my opinion. The paranormal world the author created is engaging and the chemistry between the two characters is fun and flirty. If you're in the mood for a lighthearted paranormal mystery that doesn't mind poking fun at itself, this one's for you.

FLIRTING UNDER A FULL MOON looked and sounded like a super cute paranormal romance. Unfortunately, I was more than a little let down after reading this book, since it was pretty much a boilerplate paranormal romance with frustrating main characters and a boring, forgettable plot.
My biggest problem with FLIRTING UNDER A FULL MOON was that Nick is possessive and kind of creepy. He thinks he knows best and frequently shows that by his actions, time after time doing something he asserts is in Brandee’s best interest, but not telling her about it. This includes breaking into her apartment and (on a separate occasion) wiping her memory, so I’m sure you can understand where I’m coming from with the “creepy” part here. Brandee, for her part, is then so ridiculously forgiving of all these incidents, and continues to trust Nick, despite the fact that he doesn’t really deserve it.
Another issue I had was with the plot. There was no tension at all. Nick easily got himself out of every situation, even those that put him in danger, and he seemed to do things without thinking them through. For somebody who has been around for a century….well, needless to say I would assume one would think before they leap. Plus, there were frequent coincidences that resolved issues. All of the roadblocks to Brandee and Nick’s relationship were resolved in one fell swoop (of magic)! Lastly, the time frame that the book covers is really short for the way the relationship developed. Mild spoiler- Nick and Brandee do get engaged at the end, but they’d been dating for less than two months. It all seemed really fast to me.
FLIRTING UNDER A FULL MOON was definitely a disappointment. Sadly, I don’t have a convenient vampire to erase it from my memory. I’ll just have to content myself with avoiding future installments of the Flirting with Fangs trilogy.

Brandee is a waitress trying to make it as a professional photographer. She over hears Nick, also known as One-Night Nick, talking about the mayor’s daughter Kate being kidnapped. Brandee is upset because Kate is her cousin and she wants to help find her. What Brandee doesn’t know is that Kate is a fire mage and that Nick isn’t human either… and now she has the pictures to prove it…
The cover looked good, the title and the synopsis sounded like something I would enjoy reading since I love books that are about shifters falling in love. Unfortunately the actual story was flat with bits of cheesy humor thrown in. There wasn’t any depth to the characters at all. This was a book I really had to make myself get through and finish. I am sad to say that this book was not for me.
It has been a while since I read a book that I wanted to bin. Bad doesn't even cover it. Cringing is more like it.
Juvenile writing, bad characterization, fucked-up world-building, no plot worth its name, deus ex machina a go-go. I can't think of a single positive thing about it. Sorry.
Fasten your safety belts, kids! This is going to be a wild, zany, flirtatious ride. If it's a paranormal, its in this book- or so it seems. I picked it up because it sounded like a fun paranormal romance from a new-to-me author that I decided to check out. I can best describe what I read as light-hearted paranormal romantic comedy that seemed to offer a nice little mystery to solve while poking a bit of fun at it's own genre of stories.
Poor Brandee, a human girl working as a barmaid until she can set enough money aside for her dream career in photography, gets dumped once again and this time its by text. Brandee doesn't get the opportunity to let the pain of rejection sink in before Sadie, the Boston Uncommon Bar's resident pyschic does a reading for her and the cards promise true love will be the next guy to come walking through the doors. The first thing through the doors is 'One Night' Nick Wolfensen. Brandee somehow doubts the cards on this one.
Nick Wolfensen is a werewolf and he, like many paranormals, frequents Anthony the vampire's bar that is neutral territory where all non-human races can come and relax without worrying about their various paranormal prejudices. Nick's just quit his police job and turned to Private Investigative work. His first case is the kidnapped fire mage daughter of the mayor and Brandee's niece. Nick has had a hard and fast rule about women. He makes them no promises and he wants no strings or attachments because he's looking for his true mate. For some reason, his eye keeps straying to Brandee Hanson.
Things get really interesting when Brandee goes moonlighting with her camera and catches more than a hot looking PI on film. Brandee follows Nick to 'help' find and rescue her niece and ends up spying him change into his wolf. Paranormals have one rule and Nick accidentally broke it. Don't get discovered by the humans. Brandee's discovery leads her and Nick onto quite the adventure trying to stay one step ahead of an angry Mother Nature who police's the paranormals and trying to figure out the attraction and relationship that's sprouted up between them.
This story went all over the place. My head spun as the plot seemed to constantly shift between perspectives and plot lines like the kidnapping investigation, Brandee's discovery of paranormals, Brandee and Nick's relationship, Anthony's relationship, the Mother Nature and other gods thing, Nick's other investigations and Brandee accidentally outting the paranormals. By nature of all these shifts in plot, I found it a bit choppy at times. It was a fun story and I do appreciate that the mayhem and madcap feel to it was intentional, but I also felt that it would have been improved by focusing on maybe just a few of the many elements included and saving some of it for another book. I also felt that the main line of the story, Nick and Brandee's romance needed more development. I wasn't convinced they were in love when they both felt they were. They spent much of the time in a back and forth thing. Nick knew exactly what and who he wanted and went about pursuing it while Brandee was flighty. She tended to jump without much thought into things and think about the consequences later usually getting all sorts of trouble stirred up in the meantime.
All that being said, I did have a good time reading this story and I think the author has hit on a great backdrop in the creation of Anthony's Boston Uncommon Bar with all the interesting characters that come and frequent the place.
Those who enjoy a light-hearted paranormal romance romp should give this one a try.

It had finally happened, the one night-night Nick has laid his eyes on a woman he wants more then just a one night fling with. Brandee Hanson is a waitress at Boston Uncommon, a bar owned by a vampire named Anthony who is also inspiring to become a photographer. The last thing Brandee expected was that the man who was predicted to become her lover was a woman known in town not to settle down. After catching Nick Wolfensen on camera turning into a werewolf, Brandee ends up in more than she was willing to bargain for.
Flirting Under a Full Moon is a romantic comedy with adult undertones. It was a bit over the top with its over the moon characters, and over the top dialog and over the top actions. I didn't know how to feel about it, since it had themes that make me cringe. For instance. I wasn't sure how I felt about Nick, if he was my boyfriend, I would find his actions suffocating. He went from a one-night Nick to being devoted fairly quickly after one kiss. There was no real resistance to it and on top of it, he mentions that it wasn't as much girls as Brandee thinks it was...The two are just kind of thrown in together, and wow suddenly they feel sparks. I didn't feel the chemistry and found that part a bit disappointing.
Thought there was several moments were I wanted to roll my eyes. Flirting Under a Full Moon was filled with outrages characters. I have to admit, there was something endearing about it, thought I am unsure of what. I liked GAIA, the goddess that is in charge of this paranormal society who are there to make sure that humans are not aware of them, and that someone like Nick stops exposing himself to others. She is mother earth and a once again a bit over the top. She throws a lot of tantrums, which make her seem a bit young and immature, but she is also kind of amusing. I find her actions and sometimes her words quiet funny.
I also liked Anthony, the vampire who owns the bar and his issues with his jealous crazy ex girlfriend who tried to kill Brandee upon thinking that Anthony had a thing for her.
Flirting Under a Full Moon is a wild, crazy roller-coaster ride that makes your head spin sometimes. It takes a lot of turns and leaps and has a lot of little subplots that really is a bit of a pain to keep up with. The characters do most of the talking, and when they get into situations, they snap their fingers and get out of it without much process. It felt overwhelming at times because everything happens so fast, it feels like being crowded by a group of people that are screaming at you...
But if your looking for a light-hearted, flirty, and just over the top read – this might be a book for you. It did make me smile at times, and I enjoyed the community of all the different characters ranging from vampires, to werewolves and gods and goddesses.
This is my second go at reading a book by Ashlyn Chase and I’ve come to the conclusion that her brand of humour just isn’t for me. Her flaky characters, unrealistic relationship progression and unfocused plot make me feel like I’m reading under the influence. Flirting Under A Full Moon is a light, girlie read that’s a good choice if you’re sitting by the pool sipping mojitos.
Brandee gets dragged into paranormal affairs after getting kidnapped while tailing Nick on an investigation into her cousin’s disappearance. These events lead me to believe that the main plot would revolve in some way, shape or form, around this case. And it does but very loosely. If you take a look at the blurb there’s no mention of Nick even being a P.I. After a while I couldn’t help but see the kidnapping as an excuse to bring them together. The detective work is shoddy at best and although there is a resolution to the investigation it seemed like it was only an afterthought. This book is about Nick learning to accept and deal with his werewolf mating instincts and Brandee getting over her abandonment issues. Sounds like your typical paranormal romance story line in my opinion but there was something missing in Chase’s delivery.
I’m a huge fan of werewolf lore, especially where true mates are concerned. I know this angle has been worked to exhaustion but I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of it. Ashlyn Chase took something beautiful and twisted it to the point of being unrecognizable. Nick’s mating instinct is so all consuming that he foregoes his one-night-stand ways, develops an almost stalker-ish obsession with protecting Brandee and proposes to her within the span of a week. If I’d been in this girl’s shoes I would have filed a restraining order and run for the hills!
Brandee’s obviously not the brightest bulb in the box and this is probably the only reason why their relationship doesn’t crash and burn. But really, after seeing Nick turn into a wolf, how dumb do you have to be to believe a story as far fetched as this:
“… he said he was naked to crawl through a tight basement window—that he was about to grease up his body but dropped the baby oil in his rush to keep her safe.” –Page 35
She also has this annoying habit of putting her own personal twist on the saying “Oh my God!” by substituting the last word with something else like “pickled herring” or “boiled bunny”. And this is funny how? Overall I just found her character to be ditzy, ignorant and naïve. All this to day that Flirting Under A Full Moon just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Maybe 2.5 stars. Because I might feel more generous in a few minutes. Perhaps. Unlikely, but it's possible.
I just read a dragon shifter book with an amazing heroine. She was smart, strong, mentally awesome as well as being physically desirable, humble, tenacious, and just generally an amazing woman. Had I read this book first I might have liked Brandee better because I could probably appreciate her instead of comparing her to the other chica. Since I can't change the order in which I read these books, I'm stuck with a woman who's a little vapid, prone to fainting and disbelief, and creative with her curse word substitutions. Now, I will say that her tolerance and acceptance as the story progressed is good, but still doesn't endear her to me.
Nick is fine, he shows good turnaround when he decides to be all in with Brandee being his mate, but he's kind of a crappy P.I. and kind of boring, to tell the truth.
We have so little background on these two main characters that I'm more curious about the vampire and his agoraphobic wife who have so little page time that it should be embarrassing to the MC's. I know pretty much nothing about what makes anyone who they are that I find so little desire to care about them or how things end up for them. By chapter 12 I was asking myself how I could only be half done and care so little about the conclusion.
I read this because I was interested in book 2 and thought I should get to know their world through book 1, but after getting to know Angie here I don't know if I want to read book 2 anymore. I thought she was ok at first, but then she had to go and prove herself unreliable, a promise breaker, and a problem starter. If it weren't for the hope of getting to know Drake as a dragon I'd completely scrap the rest of the series. There's more hope for Anthony in book 3 because of his mention of Claudia in book 1. That's all kind of beside the point, really, because if I'm more interested in discussing possibilities, or lack thereof, in books that I'm not even sure I want to read anymore there's someone seriously wrong with the book that should be the focus of this review.
If you like silly romances with a bit of humor and almost no depth, characters that are simple in their appeal, interesting side characters, and quick, easy resolutions to any issue brought up, this book would be for you.
A good paranormal read that is funny, exciting and romantic with the addition of having many magical properties and paranormal characters that keep you on your toes.
Brandee is just a regular human female. A beautiful and struggling artist that works very hard to make ends meet, she has high hopes to one day become someone great and noticed in the art world, but no means to do so. She’s not given up and does not plan to. But when she’s introduced in to the world of paranormal, she gets side tracked and also ends up finding out someone she’s known for the past year is her soul mate. How can it possibly work for her, or even for them being from two completely different worlds?
Nick is an over a century old werewolf. He’s never had an honest to goodness relationship with a woman throughout that time because he’s had no desire to do so. He has been waiting for his one and only, is true mate. In the meantime he plays the field and is known to all as “one night Nick”. Can he convince his one true mate that they belong together and that he has eyes only for her?
There was so much going on and in some cases a little too much to keep track of as well as some inconsistencies that took away and distracted me from the story. Definitely a good read with the possibility of greatness that many paranormal fans will have a lot of fun with :)
Flirting under a full moon was amazing! I just finished it and couldn’t wait to write this review. Literally, I’m smiling ear to ear. Granted, at first I had a hard time getting into the book and I found some of the character personality traits annoying, but by the end I was impressed by the book and thrilled that I had read it. I really fell in love with the characters and sympathized with their plights. I found the book to be romantic and fun. Some parts were not very believable or over the top, but it didn’t ruin the story. Also, there was a little bit of erotica, which I was not expecting. The only thing I’ve ever read that even closely resembles erotica was part of 50 shades of grey, and this book had nowhere near even that much. I don’t want anyone thinking that it is going to be a big part of the book, I just want to warn you.. or make you aware of it before going in. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Disclaimer: I received this Advanced Reading Copy through the Goodreads First Reads program.
Actually, I really did like this book. Ashlyn Chase made me laugh out loud on several occasions. I like the fact that there wasn't any really foul language to the story. I did get to the point where hearing Brandee utter another euphemism instead of a curse word actually got to be a tad bit too much. I liked the idea of the Boston Uncommons bar, a neutral ground for the paranormals. I also liked Mother Nature and the "issues" surrounding her, shall we say, fertility problems......That was a hoot! The last thing I liked was that, while this was an uncorrected advanced copy, I didn't encounter mistakes. That, in itself, was a pleasure.
I love her Strange Neighbors series and was excited about this book. However, I was slightly disappointed with some of the dialogue, it didn't seem to flow right in places. I also wanted to smack Nick upside his head in too many various parts of the book. However, what truly had me giving this book, which I did enjoy, a 3 star rating, was the sudden expansion of the Strange Neighbors world. It was confusing and left me wondering if I missed something in the previous books. I totally get needing to expand the paranormal world beyond that apartment building, but I didn't like how it was unveiled. Hoping if I re-read this book I up my rating, but looking forward to How To Date A Dragon.
I don't think I've ever read a book like This one. The book was okay. Just okay. Everything in the book was too easy. Pacing was very strange. There wasn't really a strong plot.
It honestly felt like I was reading a outline instead of an actual novel. There didn't seem to be any filler, good or bad, in this book.
The characters had very little back story and they kind of fell flat.
I will say this...it ended the way I like my books to end, which is why I gave it two stars.
Written by Ashlyn Chase, Flirting Under a Full Moon follows PI, and werewolf, Nick as he is hired to find a missing girl and Brandee, the local bar keep who has had her fortune read, and Nick is in her future.
I really don’t recommend this story. I just… don’t. Below, are the comments I had as I was reading this novel, and may they give you incite.
“That sucks” isn’t offensive language. And is Katie Brandee’s cousin or niece? Who edited this?? The aggressive Mother Nature character not only barely works for the story – but she is horribly annoying. Sure, maybe she is a foil for both Nick and Brandee, but it just doesn’t work. Then we go from wearing slacks to wearing a skirt. I just… I don’t understand the inconsistencies and they remove me from the story.
And the fact that we don’t ever get the realization that she is Nick’s mate, just that he suddenly sees her that way, yet we get Brandee’s thought process on him declaring she is his girlfriend and how that shows he has changed.
The inconsistencies! Did you turn the girl into a vampire, or did the evil nobleman! PLEASE, LEARN TO BE CONSISTENT IN YOUR STORY.
Was he a cop for a long time, or a short time? He said he had only just started as a cop when his brother got the bad rep. Which is it? Beyond that, aren’t the Balog’s humans? Like, at least their son is.
Last big complaint – not a fan of Brandee forcing herself to use a nickname for Nick. Like, his name IS fine.
Nope. Not done. YOU COULD JUST TURN HER INTO A WEREWOLF INSTEAD OF HER BECOMING A MUSE, THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

Did not like the characters very well at all. The dialogue was kitchey and didn't really develop the story much. the plot was not very solid and sort of all over the place there were too many different lines going that didn't end up leading any place so it felt like they were contrived just to give some sort of conflict. The whole Mother Nature thing was weird and frankly off-putting. I don't get how a werewolf, who was over 200, could accidentally get spotted changing and overheard. How has he not learned a lot more caution than that by now. And how do you trust someone because they didn't tell your secret in the first day after they learned it. It harps on how she promised not to tell and was so trustworthy but in fact she basically did tell.
The main character male did a few overbearing things to protect her without giving her good information again to "protect" her in the beginning and main character female gets mad at him. Understandably, but then when she rants at it later and make him promise not to do it again she talks about him being possessive rather than the honesty/trust thing which is really what the real problem was. Lots of inconsistencies too as if an editor hadn't really gone over it closely. Over all good potential concept but didn't do it for me at all.
This has been on the TBR shelf for some time, and I finally made time to read it. Was it worth it?
The writing was average for me; I did however find it interesting that the FL used interesting sayings over using curses and sometimes it almost seemed as if she was aware of the paranormal side of the world. And that seemed odd to me, I didn't mind it but different.
The story itself was more a romance with some flare, a little mystery to help move the story along and a reason to keep the two leads together.
I did enjoy the various characters that was in the story and the world that Ashlyn Chase created for herself and would read the rest of the books as I see them.
I will say Mother Nature was a hoot, and very relatable at this point in life that I would love to see more of her!
This was very good. Brandee has been dumped in every way possible but when she gets dumped by text, its the last straw. She swears off men. Brandee meets up with Nick and things go haywire right then. Brandee works at a bar and there is a woman there who reads tarot cards and tells Brandee that her soul mate is Nick. Nick has a nick name, One-Night Nick. He is known to go through lots of women ad Brandee is just mortified that her soul mate would be him. What Brandee doesn't know is that Nick is a werewolf and Brandee is human. Makes a great story line. Lots of passion between them but Brandee is very cautious around Nick. Recommend.
Flirting under a Full Moon by Ashlyn Chase was a fun read. The story line focuses mainly on the couple Nick the werewolf searching for his mate and Brandee the human who happens to be his mate. You have the wolf meet mates must introduce her to the world of paranormal love story. I enjoyed the characters and there is a dose of mystery with the kidnapping of a paranormal child. It is not all sex and romance. Like I said a fun read and I look forward to the second book in the Trilogy to see where life takes the characters.
I became an instant fan after I stumbled across this book in audio. It took a while to listen because I only listened at work but as soon as I finished this one I immediately bought the next one. If you enjoy a good story with lots of humor and action this is a good one. I do not give away spoilers if I can help it but I'm on a whole different series of hers now and I plan to keep listening to her work. I can't imagine how often I would be laughing out loud had I purchased the book.
Light paranormal rom-com. Great fun to read. A vampire bar owner with an aunt who can predict the future with tarot cards. A werewolf cop known as One Night Nick until he wants more. Gods, goddesses, and a sweet little waitress named Brandee who wants to find the man of her dreams. You can’t help but enjoy this book.
I am not leaving a rating as this ended up being a DNF for me. I stopped right after the cousin's kidnapping was resolved and I honestly wasn't happy with how things were going and the removal of character knowledge. I didn't like the characters and my only investment in the story was finding the cousin.
I’m only a few chapters in, the only thing that makes me want to stop reading is her repeating “Oh My God” but using other words to replace it. It’s getting annoying when it is being used every other paragraph.

Cute narration and promising story but too simple/superficial for me. Made it 1/2 thru before moving on to my next read. I think it will appeal to some since it is a sweet love story with action and adventure.
