I find this book very interesting and it relates to a few times in my life when something doesn't go as expected. {Spoiler Alert}- The book is about a girl named Hudson who has to deal with the strict rules her mom, Holla- a famous pop star, assigned her. Holla tries to make her daughter just like her, but Hudson doesn't want the same fame and career as her mother. She just wants a small audience, be part of a small band, and sing jazz music. At first, her mom doesn't understand why her daughter wouldn't want to be as popular as her, but after getting encouragement from her friends, life coach (Hillary), and Aunt Jenny, Hudson is able to show her mom that not everyone wants to have the same future.

I think this was my favourite of the trilogy, as I thoght the dynamics between Hudson and her mother were interesting and dealt with well. I liked how, within one scene, Joanna Philbin was able to make Hudson act one way with her friends but become a completely different person around her mother. I liked the friendship with Hillary too.
