This 4th book about Jamie Jhonson was the best because not only does it have football in it but it also has Jamie as a premier league player. In the book Jamie plays for Hawkstone as a deadly left winger. Problem awakens when a famous new player finds himself in Hawkstone football club in the premier league. That famous football player plays in Jamie's own position: left winger. Jamie's position in the club is at threat as the player unleashes havoc amongst the club. Jamie, a phenomenal footballer , wanted to uncover a big lie about Bertorrelli, a deceiver who fixes matches to make money, so that he would not deceive the great Hawkstone United. but he was transferred from the great Hawkstone United to a unknown Seaport Town because the manager of the team thought he was lying. So after playing and preforming so well he was brought back to Hawkstone United. Then he played for the team and won the league for the team. The theme of the story is that always follow the path of truth and show your bravery when needed.
A riveting read. The fourth book of the Jaime Johnson series written by Dan Freedman is a emotionally enhanced English Premier League fairytale saga. Readers would get an inside experience of a young footballers life in a league, mindset during and off-play, sprinkled with some doses of drama and thrill. Jaime Johnson and his merry-go-round season with Hawkstone United and Seaport Town, with some interesting characters like Raymond Porlock and Robbie will make you intrigued up until the end. Small chapters, intertwined with some graphics make the book very fast to finish.
Ordered this series of books because I thought they would be great for all our football fans - some of whom just happen to be more reluctant about reading than they are playing football. This book didn't disappoint and as a football fan myself I thoroughly enjoyed it. Fast paced, loved the character of Jamie Johnson and I know our football fans will finally find a series (other than Tom Gates) that they love!
