Provides advice for owners of dwarf rabbits, including information on their senses and behavior, ideas for building a relationship, tips on playing with a rabbit, and suggestions for caring for the older rabbit.
This is a great book for children in terms of educating them about caring for their dwarf rabbits. It also has information and tips which parents will find helpful, such as cage and/or hutch measurements more suited to the smallest species of the rabbit family. A good book for anyone who is has a new dwarf rabbit or plans to get one. The side-stories of the author's own experience with two of her own dwarfs are not only amusing at times, but also an informative reminder that, at times, you have to expect the unexpected from these little creatures. Kids will love the photos of bunnies doing everything from eating to sleeping to playing. All-in-all, a nice read.
This is a good book if you are considering getting a dwarf rabbit. The other book by Monika Wegler, "My Dwarf Rabbit" has much of the same info, except far more about the actual care of the rabbit. There wasn't as much in here that I didn't know, owning two dwarf rabbits myself, however, this is still a very good read for new owners and perhaps experienced ones as well.
