The Psycholinguistics of Bilingualism presents a comprehensive introduction to the foundations of bilingualism, covering language processing, language acquisition, cognition and the bilingual brain.
Excellent introduction to the basic concepts and ongoing research in psycholinguistics and its relation to the complex notion/topic of bilingualism. I highly recommend this work to advanced undergraduates/MA-level graduate students who wants an approachable, yet authoritative, introductory approach to these and related topics.
As far as scientific literature reviews go it seems that the nascent nature of the field reviewed has a lot to determine much of the quality of the publication. I’m curious with this topic if the connectome studies have really changed these findings. There is a fair amount of theoretical Psycholinguistic/Neurological postulating herein. And a thank you to the Princeton student who gave this to a goodwill!
