Loves it xx

My favorite interviews were the ones of Art Spiegelman, Eli Langer, G.B. Jones, and Ted Rall.

(P.S. I think the messy editing made me like it more.)

Books about other books to read. In this case subversive/explicit/sexual/hard comics. Whew, hard subjects are covered. I knew about a handful of the writer, artists, but definitely was exposed to ones that I didn't and eagerly what to read.

I loved getting to learn about the female/woman comic makers from the 60's-90's and will be getting the Twisted Sisters comic anthology ASAP.

Reading about Art Spiegelman talk about the pressure the immense success of Maus was very surprising, as was seeing his earlier work.

Recommend for very versed comic readers that are looking for work they havn't seen.

This book is horribly edited, and sometimes the interviews are unfocused. However, the subjects chosen and the candor and depth that Juno elicits from them makes up for those factors. Worth the price of admission for the Spiegelman interview alone.

You are not controversial, no matter how avante garde you think your drawing is. Want to brush up on the real men?

Again, if you ever find this book, pay through the nose when they tell you to.
