Allen Rodol begins his second year in the Thousand Blade Swordcraft Academy. Due to some political machinations, Allen must step up and face off against the strongest school in the country. It's typically ranked the best out of all five of the sword-fighting academies. We get some lore bombs dropped on us, if you'll forgive the expression, as Allen searches deep within himself and finds the true source of his power. He was stabbed through the heart to achieve this, but it worked out in the end. Allen defeats his opponent, shattering his self-confidence. Shin Rex was a weird guy with a nigh-unbeatable power, but Allen succeeded. Dodriel invades again. Remember that guy? There is an underlying aspect of the story that remains unexplained. We don't know the Empire's aim, yet. How does the Rodol Clan's power fit into all of this? Finally, Lou Lorenti, the new first-year student, appears to be aware of the 100-Million-Year Button.
I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
