Tears In A Bottle... Lessons From A Broken Heart

Rate this book
Truly a touching and encouraging recount from the eyes of a father who lost his son to cancer. Matt surrendered to the ministry at a young age. He was in his third year of Bible College and working in Worship Ministry at Family Fellowship Church in Greenville, TX. It was here that Matt's Dad lived many Pastors' dream; to serve side by side with their son. Nothing however, could have prepared either man for the journey that would come when Matt was diagnosed with cancer. This is the story of the greater journey.

Uplifting and inspirational true story. The hardest thing a parent can do is to let go of their child and trust God for the future. In this case bad just goes to worse when Matt is diagnosed with cancer. Have a box of tissues handy. I read this book in small short increments because the hurt in my heart was too big, other than that it should have been a quick read. 175 pages, double spaced and well written. Easy to understand. It was a hard story to read but oh my goodness I'm so glad I read it.

Hope for those who face the unthinkable

In this book, Joe Knight shares the pain that he faced as he experienced the loss of his son. There was a lot of pain, but along the way he learned some valuable lessons about God’s provision and mercy.
Thankfully, not all of us have to learn what it feels like to lose a child, but we all experience loss, disappointment, and other events that cause us to question God’s love.

Really connected to the material in my situation and taught me to not assume others are grieving in the same way I do
