Cuffing His Bride

Amelia

I’m having the worst day ever. My fiancé, a guy I didn’t even like to begin with, has left me at the altar. The only reason I was marrying him was to secure a trust fund from my late grandfather, and now he’s completely ruined my plans. Of course, I probably could have reacted better; assault and destruction of property are ill-advised, even on the worst of days. Now I’m being dragged away from my own wedding in the arms of the biggest, nicest-smelling cop I’ve ever met. I’m totally screwed. How am I going to buy my mom’s flower shop back now?

Hunter

I’ve been on the force long enough to think I’ve seen it all, but some things still manage to surprise me. When I got the call about an altercation happening at the church down the street, I was expecting a real bride-zilla. Instead, I end up with Amelia, and she takes my breath away. I can’t help relishing how she feels against me as I drag her off her fiancé. I don’t know what’s going on, but I know she’s too good for a man like him. How did she end up with a jackass like him?

3/5 cute read

TROPES:

~instalove
~fake bride/marriage
~age gap
~policeman H

Amelia is getting married to a man she barely knows so she can receive her inheritance. The groom's ex crashes the wedding and starts a series of events. Amelia turns into a bridezilla and the cops get called. That's where the hero comes in and arrests her. Hunter (H) falls for her immediately. But how on earth will they make it work?

I've never read anything like this one before! The fake marriage/bridezilla/policeman H tropes are new to me. I loved the storyline, but it was boring in some places.

SAFETY:
Ages: 21h, 30H
Virgin/celibate: virgin heroine, celibate hero
OM/OW drama: none
Cheating/sharing: none
Kinks: dirty talk, public sex
HEA?: yes

Cuffing His Bride, Book 1 of the Glamorous Brides series, was about Hunter and Amelia.
Amelia needed to get married in order to get the inheritance money left by her late grandfather. The stickler was, that she had to get married before her cousin or she would lose out. So she got engaged to Charles, who not only jilted her at the altar, but he also had a few choice, ugly, demeaning words for her..which led to her going bridezilla on him and beating the crap out of him in front of the priest and all the wedding guests. Which led to the police being called and Hunter's arrival.
This was a quick read that was so OTT with humor that I couldn't help but give it a five-star rating. Almost from the opening paragraph to the end, the humor was outlandishly hilarious.
The whole thing lasted for a mere fifteen chapters, but they were so short it could have been half that. This short story works for a tension-reliever if you've just finished a gut-wrenching novel and need some levity. And boy was there levity in this!

Rushed and kind of unsatisfying.

It was way too short for the complexities involved. Then there were things like he didn’t even think it was weird to get physical with her the day she got jilted at the alter and was so upset she attacked the groom. It would be one thing if he knew it was arranged but he didn’t. As far as he knew, she was totally in love with the guy and he didn’t even bother to ask her about it.

Then to top it off, she didn’t even get the trust she was getting married for. They decided they wanted to take it slow which would have been fine but slow was apparently a month. Then why didn’t they just get married right away and get the trust? Grrrr! Annoying and frustrating.

This was super fast and fun! Perfect little romance morsel to squeeze in at lunch or on break. The writing is smooth and the story flows well. It’s not super complicated, but it works as a quickie novella.

Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned at all. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. Small OM (h is about to marry a man she doesn’t love, but she’s never been intimate with him.) no cheating or sharing or abuse between MCs. HEA with epilogue

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Amelia was meant to be saying I do but instead she is watching her dream destroyed before her eyes, when her fiancé tries to leave her at the alter. This was in no way a love match but the only way that she can access her trust fund left to her by her grandfather if she gets married before her cousin. He always loved making people play games. She just wants to give her mum back her business after they’d had to sell it to pay off the medical bills. That dream is over and after losing her temper in the church and the cops being called she knows she is in trouble. Being carried out by a police officer and said police officer Hunter makes her heart beat like never before. But after what he just witnessed there is no way that he would ever look at her as anything other than a criminal is there?

It was the last call of the day and Hunter was ready for his shift and his babysitting duties to be over. He hasn’t been expecting to walk into the church and have to remove the bride and stop her killing the groom, but when he finally sees her he knows that there is nothing that he wouldn’t do to make sure that the only person she will be saying I do to is him. He should have gone home but he can’t leave until he sees her again, and offers her a ride home. Hunter knows that Amelia is meant to be with him but is she ready for love after her wedding fell apart, and does she still have feelings for the absent groom?

Love Cassi’s books and this was no different. Amelia just wanted her mum to be happy and was willing to sacrifice anything to give her that smile back, Hunter had given up on love until he finally found his one. Great 4* read.

Amelia (h21) is stunned when her groom ends their wedding plans at the altar, upending their marriage of convenience plans so she can inherit a trust fund. She goes on the rampage and only stops when Officer Hunter (H33) arrives on the scene. Hunter finds himself drawn to the younger, feisty woman and things heat up quickly between the two. Amelia realizes she may have met the man she’s supposed to marry. Hot and steamy quickie romance with a wedding-gone-wrong that will make you smile at Amelia’s fire.

A wonderfully written story with great characters it’s easy to read and a page turner, a steamy romance happily ever after.
A florist’s grandfather dies and in his will it states that she can only get her inheritance if she marries before her cousin if not her cousin gets all of the inheritance money. The florist wants the money to get back the flower shop that her mother owned before she got breast cancer and had to sell it to pay for her hospital bills. The florist is in front of wedding guest when a woman object’s to the wedding, the groom starts in on her calling her a bunch of names and she goes after him.
The florist meets the man of her dreams but the man of her dreams is the man that takes her statement and arrests her, he’s the police officer that will take her home after she’s let out as well as the officer who gives her oral sex and falls asleep with her.
The officer watches her while the florist is working. The officer has the other officer go to get them coffee and donuts while he goes over across the street to see the florist, they talk before the other officer comes back with more than just coffee and donuts but he decides not to tell him about not taking anything from people. The officer comes back and picks the florist up after her shift, taking her home and before you know it he’s giving her oral sex before making love. When they're done she asks the officer to marry her even though she doesn’t know anything about him she knows that she would never ask another. They both know that even though they haven’t known each other for very long that they love each other.
The officer wakes up the next morning, when he goes into the kitchen the florist is there, she gives him a cup of coffee as a knock hits the door. She tells him where everything for the coffee is before she goes to the door, the officer is still in the kitchen when she opens the door. The guy she was to marry is there and he starts talking to her trying to give her flowers that he got from where she works. The officer comes into the room and the guy leaves. The florist tells the officer everything as well as telling him about getting ahold of her cousin earlier also about wanting to take it slow so they know each other better even though she wants to be with him.
Ten years later she didn’t get the inheritance due to her cousin getting married a few weeks before them. She owns the flower shop. They’re renewing their vows and they have twin boys. At the receptions the wife wants to get away with her husband for a bit, they make their way to a door and behind it is a balcony before he can do anything the wife closes the door. They have sex on the balcony against the wall.
The husband’s glad that he got a call about a disturbance ten years ago so he could meet his wife.

Unexpected Entertainment . . .

Amelia Sage is actually contemplating murder. It started a few weeks ago when her deceased grandfather’s lawyer sent a letter about her trust fund, but someone else could also access it unless she is married before her cousin. The “winner” gets the entire trust fund. Charles needed a wife to get his family to back off and Amelia needed a marriage of convenience immediately to claim her funds. But now a woman is crashing their wedding saying she loves him and their kids need their father! Normally, she would smack him and leave, but she needs that trust fund! She needs it for her mom who had to sell her beloved flower shop to pay for her cancer treatments. She is in remission, but that flower shop brought her true job and Amelia wants to get it back for her. But Charles tells her he is dumping her, that he would get bored with a woman like her, and he smirked about it! He announced to the family in the pews that she is a prude who never let him touch her! So… she leaped on him in a rage, nails and teeth ready to do damage. And 200 witnesses pulled out cell phones to film it all!

Being dragged away from her wedding was not what she had expected. Hunter, who was finishing his shift and ready to head home, got the call about the violence at the church. He expected a real bride-zilla and was surprised to find a gorgeous woman trying to tear the groom apart. His rookie partner tried multiple times to pull her off the victim, but she easily kicked or elbowed him away while she kept the groom face-down on the floor and yanked his hair. So Hunter stepped in, wrapped his arms around her, and dragged her away as he whispered “that’s enough” in her ear. He has his partner start getting statements while he takes Amelia to the squad car. But all he wants to do is make things better for her, and to make her his. With the adrenaline fading, she starts to shiver and he hands her his handkerchief for the tears she didn’t know were running down her cheeks. And then he offers her a ride home. Will this be the start of a new relationship between them? Is this what both of them have always wanted? Or will he drop her off and drive home alone?

Forever Nicked -
When Hunter received the call to attend a disturbance at the local church, he didn’t expect it to change his life in the best way possible, as he felt an instant connection with the bride to be. Even though Amelia knew her marriage of convenience was borne out of circumstances, she was still upset with what happened, but what she didn’t know at the time was that fate had other plans for her life, as she met the love of her life during the brawl. Amelia’s request for help from Hunter was don3 out of necessity, but everything changed the moment he touched her.

As luck would have it, Amelia realised she had real feelings for Hunter after their dalliance, so she decided to forgo entering into another marriage of convenience and just pursue a relationship with Hunter, which he willingly agreed to after she finally explained everything to him. Hunter and Amelia may have begun their relationship by accident, but their love for each other only grew stronger the longer they were together and they got the happily ever after they deserved.

This is a fabulous, age gap, instalove romance short story, with interesting characters, spicy encounters and some exciting dramatic moments, that had me hooked from the beginning until the end.

Cassi Hart is off to a good start with her Glamorous Brides Series. Cuffing His Bride is a sweet story that is chalked full of laughs that had me in tears. Hunter and Amelia are both lovable and it was easy for me to feel a connection with these two. Cassi's plot for this book was really good and had my attention from the very beginning. If the other books in this series are as good as this one I am beyond excited to read them all.

Amelia had a plan to secure her inheritance that her grandfather left to be claimed by either her or her cousin. But, only after fulfilling his requirement of being the first one to get married. So, Amelia found someone who would willing marry her and who stood to gain something out of this sham of a marriage. Now she is being carried out of the church by Officer Hunter for her disorderly conduct and attempting to murder her would be fiance. He brought it on himself by embarrassing her in front of everyone. There happens to be a bit of chemistry flowing between Hunter and Amelia that leads to some heated passionate moments shared between these two. Is this thing between them even real or just a knee jerk reaction.

This is a fun fast-paced instalove novella that hits many tropes. Amelia Sage must marry in order to inherit a trust fund, but her fake marriage ceremony is crashed by her fiancé’s lover. When the police are called, Hunter arrives on the scene, and decides to deal with Amelia’s outburst in his own way. By cuffing her, taking her down the station, and then claiming her as his after she bonds out. The storyline for this short story wasn’t my favorite from this author, but the sweet and steamy moments definitely made up for it. Of course the couple gets their happily-ever-after.

Tropes: Contemporary romance, instalove, short story, fake bride, fake marriage, arranged marriage, forced proximity, age gap, virgin heroine, police, happily-ever-after
Heat: 3/5.

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading from beginning to end. Her writing style is such that it makes her story come to life and written with heart. Her attention to details made the story realistic which made the story even better. This is a well written story about Amelia and her wedding day that was something other than a happy one until he comes and drags her out. What will fate have instore for these two, you will have to pick up this book and find out. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their steamy chemistry. Their attraction is off the charts. They had me coming back for more which made the story easy to read. They are strong, connectable characters that truly made the story for me. I found this book to be fast paced and hard to put down. It is a great romance story that I highly recommend.

Amelia's grandfather loved pitting his family against each other and it didn't change after his death. He set up a trust for his grandchildren that would go to the one who married first. Amelia is determined to win so she can use the money to buy back her mother's flower shop. Her mother had to sell it to pay the bills for her cancer treatment. She decides to make a deal with her future groom who also benefits from being married. At the wedding his ex shows up claiming that she is pregnant and he dumps Amelia. Furious, Amelia jumps him wanting to make him suffer. She gets pulled off her ex groom by Hunter the cop who was called. Just one look at Hunter and sparks fly.

Amelia and Hunter are so cute together. Their story is so witty and fun. I loved reading it! Amelia needs to marry someone ASAP to get her inheritance, but she doesn't have many choices. Wanting to get this over with she chooses a man tht says yes to this marriage of convenience. However, during the wedding things about this man come to light. She has a mental breakdown and the cops show up. Little did we know that Hunter will fall head over heels for Amelia from the beginning. They have an unconventional first meeting but it's so cute. Their steamy scenes are so good and they really show their connection from the beginning. I loved it!

Swift, Funny, sweet and some Hotness
I loved how sweet, desperate, 21 year old Amelia flies into a "smart" rage on her fink of a groom when Charles very publicly dumps her at the altar. It's funny how this tiny usually sweet woman is trying to tear Charles hair out. She's got the wimp trapped ! Lol.

Hunter is a by the book policeman saddled with a baby faced rookie who doesn't have a clue. Hunter usually works alone and he likes it that way ! He is fascinated when he sees Amelia refusing to loose her grip on her fiancee. What he sees in his point of view is a tiny beauty; an enraged angel.
Hunter knows he shouldn't get involved with her personally. He's 10 years older than her. But things do escalate pretty quickly between them and come to really good HEA.

I love Cassi Hart books and Cuffing His Bride is another great book by her.
Our heroine Amelia is stuck in a jam trying to access her late grandfather’s trust fund. In order to do so, she has to marry before her cousin.
Amelia really doesn’t like the groom and mayhem takes place at the ceremony. Police are called and the arresting officer Hunter is just the man to take charge of the situation and the bride.
This story was sweet and sensuous! This was one hot cop and he definitely had eyes for the bride.
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast paced story of Amelia and Hunter.
I’m looking forward to the next book about Amelia’s cousin.

Amelia is having a bad day! It’s supposed to be her wedding day (marriage of convenience). Her wedding is disrupted/ended and Amelia throws a bridezilla fit! Amelie was only getting married to have access to her inheritance but this wrinkle severely disrupts her plans. The police are called to get the situation under control. Hunter is the police officer and immediately falls for Amelia. Hunter manages to cuff and drag Amelia to jail with the hopes of keeping her for himself!
I loved watching these characters navigate their way to their end goal. This author makes it easy to watch all of the characters in action!

Cute premise

The premise of this story is cute; girl tries to marry a jerk in order to get an inheritance, but gets dumped. She beats up said jerk and falls for the arresting officer. It's adorable.

While the premise is cute, the story flattens a little in the middle and then, bam, it's done. It's a short story that reads like a very short story. It's kind of a meet-sexy-meet-sex-ending-epilogue plot. Nothing wrong with that, but it did lose a star. In the end, I did enjoy the book and I do recommend it.

This is a standalone, safe read with some explicit language and sex. It can be read in an hour or two.

“Cuffing His Bride” gets off to a memorable starts as Amelia Sage is dumped at the altar.
Does she take it lying down? Hell no! She goes medieval on his ass.
The police are needed to pry her off him.
Officer Hunter feels instantly attracted to the hot-tempered vixen.
But Amelia has a problem. If she doesn't get married before her cousin she won't get a much needed inheritance.
Could Officer Hunter be persuaded to take a quick walk down the aisle?
It's a really short and quick read but I enjoyed it a lot.
The author, Cassi Hart, knows exactly what she is doing and there is hardly a word wasted.
3 Stars.

Cuffing His Bride

Amelia and Hunter’s story is fun and unusual tale with wild twist and turns that pull you in from the start.

Amelia is dispirit to get the money from the trust to by back the flower shop, but when her plans implode, the cops are called. Hunter is ready to get off from his shift when he gets the call about a altercation at the church. When he walked in, he was not ready for Amelia.

This is an entertaining story that tugs at your heart, makes you laugh and was perfect with my morning coffee.

This was a good book. I liked Hunter and Amelia together but I didn't feel as though they a deep connection. The attraction between these two were instant and it was really funny on how they met but I think their relationship went a bit too fast for me. I really enjoyed that Amelia stood up for herself and Hunter was there to support her but I wished that we saw them getting to know each other. I am looking forward to the next book.

Cassi Hart has recently become one of my top ten must read authors. Ms. Hart knows how to draw her readers into her story from the 1st page to the last with her fantastic storytelling. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help but cheer for their happily ever after. Hunter and Amelia's story is one of looking to solve one problem that you have, but instead you find your other half when you least expect it. You don't want to miss this 1st book in the Glamorous Brides series. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

On Amelia's wedding day, the groom's ex arrives and makes a scene. Now, Amelia isn't in love with her groom to be, she just needs to get married to get her grandfather's inheritance. When all hell breaks loose, Amelia finds herself being arrested by the hottest man she has ever seen.

Hunter holds no punches. He is instantly attracted to Amelia, but he has a job to do. When he can't stop thinking about her he does everything he can to keep seeing her. Will he get the jilted bride to fall for him?.

married romance.
Amelia is a young woman about to get married for convenience. Unfortunately at the time of the wedding her future husband humiliates her in front of all the guests and cancels the wedding so she is about to "kill" him when she is arrested by Hunter the handsome sheriff.
Hunter is a sheriff in a small town when he is called for an attack in a church. It is at this moment that he sees her the most beautiful woman.
Will Hunter and Amelia have a beautiful story or will the secret of Amelia's marriage come between them...

Good short romance with an original beginning
4.5
I loved that this story starts in reverse to arranged marriages: Amelia needs a husband to get her money, but a scandal stops the marriage and she turns into a fury. I liked this potentially conflicting situation that sets up the story, then the instalove that follows with Hunter. It's cute, tender, simple, but very hot, with good characters

This book was great. And I can't wait to read the next book to be released.
Now that is what I would say is a close call to almost missing out on something so great and amazing. Amelia almost married a man she didn't even like just to receive a trust fund to buy back her mother's flower shop. But when all fell apart on the day of her wedding she met Hunter who changed it all for her. Love is more important than any money she could have every gotten.
