Rate this book

It struck me that he might look natural on a stage, but was strangely out of place in real life.

"No secret hobby?" she asked. "Tell me - you're drawn to something? Everyone is - usually something absurd.”

"Ah, my friend, one may live in a big house and yet have no comfort.”

"Mon ami,”

"Eh bien, eh bien! Do not grudge me a moment's satisfaction of the eye.”

I have kept you and clothed you and fed you! You owe everything to me! And this is how you repay me!

'Never trust a man, Dorcas, they're not worth it!’

It is destroyed - but is it destroyed?

"Yes, that alters everything - everything.”

"Bon jour, mon ami!”
