4 - THE GINORMOUS SERIES 3-9yrs, teaching tools
As a grandma and ex-crime investigator, SCC understands the importance of helping parents/schools gently guide and equip our young with life messages.
I like thw characters and the divergent view of the afterlife, sin and redemption. My biggest conceris that this "book" is so short, it would rightly be called a novella. And again, as in the first book, another run through proofing/editing would be appreciated.
Life was all simple for Amy as a kid until she was taken at the age of four and she luckily survived. A week later another girl was taken and she didn't make it. Since then, Amy wanted to end the bad people. She questions God for letting the bad people go without being punished. As she grew up, her only thoughts were to end the evil. She mysteriously dies under a London commuter train and that's from where her real journey begun. She worked with a vigilante to end the bad. She became an angel. Everytime the angels came to earth, the only traces they left back was the white feather. Amy had her own vendetta to fight. Will she be able to do what she wants or be dragged to the hell below ground? Read it to know. I suggest all the fiction thriller lovers to definitely check this amazing book out. It definitely runs chills down your spine!
Wouldn't it be just better to have someone protect you from all the bad things around? If this idea alone excites you, 'Karma' by S.C.Cunningham will prove to be a delight for you. Amy, the protagonist, was taken at the age of four and thankfully, she survives. A new member of the Fallen, she does her best to provide justice to the Earth folk. To complete her mission, she strikes a deal with God Himself. But after she dies and finds herself in the Afterlife, will she repent her decision? Filled with suspense, this book will keep you on the edge. What makes it more interesting is the character's will power and determination which keeps her moving no matter the circumstances. Filled with action and an international network, this book is worth a read.
This book is absolutely phenomenal. Took me through a breathless ride across a thriller sci-fi plot. Just like the wicked, the fallen angels have no rest. Stuck in the web of correcting numerous criminal and unsocial activities, Amy finds herself overworked. The events surrounding Amy is truly intriguing. I didn't find this book boring even for just a second. Amy's struggle, her promise to God all leads to the discovery of an international unit of people like Amy coming together to fight the evil. Amy has a significant role to play. This book has wowed me.
Karma is not a slow paced novel of the wimps, it is brimming with adrenaline packed action and hair tingling suspense. The Fallen Unit can been seen fighting for Erthfolk and Amy Fix, the new Angel finds herself transfixed with the burden of fending for herself. Settings right her personal scores, erotic activities with her partner, bustling powerful karmas on her evil ex and drig dealers, are a few of the instances of this novel. Well there is definitely more to it then this, so better start off with the book pretty soon.
Karma- The Fallen Angel.... This book has so much to offer to the readers about the concept of Karma which is very well explained by the book through it's various instances that involve drug dealers and various other activities such as fights between people , murders , warlords etc... Unique in its concept and storyline, this book keeps the mind of the readers in suspense as the story advances...A must read !
It's a beautiful story of Jack and Amy, two angles who are sent to earth to protect people and make sure bad one receives Karma. Whenever they save someone they leave behind a feather, that's really heart touching. I am totally in love with the story and the characters. The relationship between Amy and Jack is just amazing. Totally worth reading.
As the title suggests Karma is dished out in healthy doses. Amy fox joins the squad of the fallen Angel's and fights those that deserve karma. A very entertaining and a deserving sequel to the Deal. Great plot and characterization and a gripping read. You can read it without getting too lost.
A notional story enthralling enough to grasp the readers right from the start. It also contains mythological roots as the protagonists, Amy and Jack seem to be angels that are sent down to earth to save people and ensure that the bad guys get what they deserve. This psychological and paranormal crime thriller efficiently concocts dark wit, passion, romanticism, determination and gallantry.
Amy Fox is a very relatable and rebellious character. I enjoyed reading about her.Karma is a fast-paced story with a unique premise. It can be read in one shot. Amazin book
This read lives up to its name because karma is dished out in healthy doses at just the right moments to some pretty repugnant Erthfolk who are too vile and evil for words.
Social status, social structure, organized crime, the political landscape, big-game hunting, and animal abuse are some of the themes woven seamlessly into Karma without being preachy or heavy-handed.
Good to see the Cloud 9 gang again!
Although characters were well-developed in book one’s The Deal, even more of their personalities were allowed to shine through this time around.
Still struggling emotionally and mentally from her captivity by Dio (DIO!), new Fallen Alice hand picks a new project and is allowed to pursue it—Amy lends a hand—but go, Alice!
Pyke and boss, Maggie, loosen up. Okay, Maggie not so much, but they do let their guards down when Pyke spills a big reveal about Alice… even though Maggie already knew.
Though he still follows the rules of the Fallen, Jack Mallan walks a fine line between justice and vengeance. He’s tasked by Micael to watch over the worst offenders and find a path to redemption for them. Sometimes he does… and sometimes no. *Waves bye-bye to Dexter.*
Dead again Amy Fox is still… Amy. Missed seeing her on the book’s cover. However, she seemed diluted this time around and sometimes over-the-top whiny. Too much blustery talk about being a badass instead of action, but she’d catch herself and get back to it. Love how she got Jack to hand Stewart his ass, and how she taught Gemma a lesson. Great, fun scenes!
Gregori still slithers about collecting dark souls. Although he has the treacherous Mara on the Witness team now, he’s determined to claim Amy too… and tells her as much.
This is where my girl annoyed me. For all her protestations to the Cloud 9 Unit about being able to handle her father and how he’d never hurt her, she didn’t reveal his threat to them and she was just plain wrong for that. She kept tabs on Sally, but what about everyone else? Arrogance did not serve her well.
Fortunately, Maggie and Jack are sharp and were formulating a plan when Amy up and does the Typical Romance Heroine move of making a bad decision that landed her in danger.
But a deal is struck, Amy and Jack celebrate love, and poor Maggie knows things are about to get worse.
Enjoyed this installment in the Fallen Angel Series, and am already looking forward to book 3, Calling! Hope to hear more about Tara Warr and David Howard (this man right here!), “John Smith,” Qyl, and if Dio’s (DIO!) older brother, Simon, continues with his epic run of bad luck from… well, hell.
Download this one today so you don’t get left behind!
As we all know karma exists🤙From the name of the book itself, we can guess how the story will be exciting & it has thriller.that will keep you up to last.. highly recommend. awsm book
'Karma' (The Fallen Angel #2) by S.C. Cunningham is an awesome thriller short story. Nice book, I recommed it . From my side it's deserve a rating of 5/5 because of its unique concept.
Jack and Amy are angels that are sent down to Earth to try and help people and make sure the bad guy receives his Karma.. Example.... A serial killer is about to attack an elderly woman in her sleep but Amy whispers in her ear and the lady wakes up to see her attacker. he is covered in an atronaut type suit with only a slit for his penis so he doesnt leave any DNA, Amy gently forces the womans hand into the slit where her anger takes over for this guy entering her home and she scratches and squeezes his penis. Amy and JAck are hopeful that the cops will be able to collect the DNA sample from the skin tissue under the womans nails now and the bad guy will get his KArma.. THey have been sent down to prevent suicides and gave a dying lady strength to last one more day so she can see her Grand daughter. Each time they leave behind a white feather.
I love the relationship between Jack and Amy. There were alot of loose ends in this one and I was done with the book before I knew it...Definately want to continue in this series....
Amy Fox is a new angel that is part of a team that takes care of those that have escaped justice in our world. But Amy goes beyond what she is supposed to and is on the verge of being punished for it. She also has a thing for her partner which is another rule that she is breaking. But things start to get tense when rivals want to shut down her Unit, she is having father issues, and so much more.
Amy is still fighting those that deserve karma but she doesn’t like the rules she has to play by and bucks them every chance she gets. I loved learning more about the Unit and those that want to close it down. Of course Amy has father issues she doesn’t tell anyone so that come back to bite her.
Over all this is a very good sequel to The Deal. Amy is a great avenging angel. It’s a good read and I recommend reading the series in order so you get more detail. But you can read this book first without being too lost. I am very curious to see what trouble Amy gets into in the next book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.
Again, as with the 1st book of this series, I have given only 4 stars because.of the over-abundance of vulgar language and explicit sex scenes. I'm a firm believer in "less is more." It makes it very difficult to read a book that makes me feel so uncomfortable & even grossed out. Also, I specifically noted at least 3 or 4 times where Amy's name was changed to Tara, even in the very near sentence; it broke concentration each time, to say the least. However, I am still planning to enjoy the rest of this series. Great premise, terrific relationships have developed in this continuation of good vs evil, & while it's been fairly easy to figure out what's going to happen @ certain places in the story-line, I am really hoping that we don't have long to wait for Book #3! A very clever & fast moving series that is not to be missed. Personally, I suggest the age group be 18+, but that's just me, most likely. 👍👍👍👍
Karma is a compelling novel, second in a series, however, I was able to read it as a standalone. The novel as an interesting premise with intriguing characters. I'm impressed!
Amy Fox is a very relatable and interesting character. Her attitude toward rules and her blatant disregard for them make her a very entertaining character. I enjoyed reading about her, and seeing what kinds of karma she would deal out next.
Karma is a fast-paced, cleverly written story with a unique premise and memorable characters. I intend to go back and read the first book. I highly recommend this one!
*I received this book as part of a blog tour with Rachel's Random Resources. All opinions are my own.*
Second installment of the Fallen Angel series and this book does not disappoint. I am totally in love with these books and characters. Whenever I see a feather I think of my dad and grandad so it's wonderful to think someone is watching over us. These books are graphic and unfortunately realistic. Cannot wait to read more.
Karma: Crime Rom Fantasy (The Fallen Angel Series Book 2) by S. C. Cunningham is a bold and entertaining mix of crime, fantasy, and romance. The story introduces a secret London based MI6 crime unit made up of ex-cons, hackers, SAS soldiers, and police officers who work to stop dangerous criminals. What makes things even more intriguing is the hidden presence of the Fallen, former humans who made a deal before death to return and deliver karma to those who escape justice. The Fallen are far from traditional angels. They are rebellious, sarcastic, and often break the rules, which makes them very interesting characters. Their personalities bring humor, attitude, and unpredictability to the story, making the world feel fresh and different from typical angel themed books.
The book moves at a fast pace with plenty of action and sharp dialogue. Many scenes feel very cinematic, almost like watching a crime thriller series unfold. Alongside the action, there is also strong romance with intense chemistry that adds emotion without taking over the plot.
Overall, Karma is a fun and gripping read that blends dark fantasy with crime drama in a unique way. It explores the idea that justice is not always simple and angels are not always perfect. If you enjoy edgy stories with strong characters and a touch of romance, this book is definitely worth reading.
Amy and Jack have previously died and are now angels standing up for what is right. Their job is to protect the victims still living from the many horrible predators who are also still among the living. This is the second book of the series, which I didn’t realise until I began to read. It can be read as a stand alone however there were a few times that I felt a bit lost with references to events that happened previously. I liked the idea behind this book/series and there were some nice moments where I had a quiet chuckle however on the whole, I found the writing style wasn’t for me. Which sucks because I am really curious about the storyline. I wish I had read the first book so I might know the characters a bit better, I didn’t feel like I knew them well enough to be invested. I’d still recommend this book for those who want to try read something a little different because as I said, the plot is interesting. I received a free copy of this book from Voracious Readers in exchange for an honest review.
Second fantastic book of a great series. It's a story about the fallen, people who want to become avenging angels when they die. How the help make the evil people in life meet their fate, whether prison or death. You'll fall in love with the plucky heroine Amy and her boyfriend Jack, and their friends as they take down the bad guys. In this book Jack is tasked with converting a serial murder back towards the light and Alice starts them punishing hunters, while they deal with the usual child abusers, kidnappers and murderers. Amy also has to deal with her father trying whatever it takes to get her to rule hell. It's a book that will make you so happy to read about evil being dealt with. You will be cheering them on like I was. I fully recommend it.
I actually read this book first, reading it from cover to cover without taking a break. It was so fascinating and so different and the whole idea of Cloud 9 looking after we Erthfolk I absolutely loved. One of the best books I've read recently and I can't wait to get onto the third book in the series. Unfortunately for me, I don't think it has been written yet. It is difficult to fault Karma. All of its characters are well developed and I even found myself liking some of the 'evil' ones. I really hope this becomes a series with many books, because I want to continue to journey with the people of Cloud 9 for a long time to come. Highly recommended.
This was a good book. Recognized some of the characters from a previous book. It was different. I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not my usual genre but it pulled me in from the start. Great character development and interesting content. I am going to read the rest of the series.
