Rover Reynolds never knew how to fly solo. Because his wings…belonged to her.

I never had the best childhood. I wasn’t the guy you used to dream you’d be. I might still have my wardrobe malfunction—according to others—but here I was, proving everyone wrong.
I had money, I had a fast car, and I had a voice that made your girlfriend wetter than ever.
As the vocalist of metalcore band “As Madness Thrives”, I was bound to give you a memorable night.
Oh, no no no, I didn’t mean it like that. There was only music for you, babe. My heart belonged to someone else. No one other than to my drummer’s sister.
Samantha Hale.
Those eyes haunted me. Her calm to my storm captured me. It was an almost tangible infatuation.
If only, I wasn’t so messed up.
If only, I’d be half the man I tried to be.
Oh, Angel Face.
I miss you, I long for you, I need you.
Come back to me.

Devi Duarta is, although quite introverted—except when writing and reading steamy books—quite bold in her wardrobe and... I mean, pink hair! She loves metalcore music, bowling, and car karaoke (when she's by herself, of course).

So Sam and Rover had been in love from afar since she was fifteen and he was twenty-one, yeah I said from afar. This was a bit inappropriate and definitely in the no go zone. This book has many chapters from the above ages of these two. Honestly there’s a lot of events, conversations, and things on the way to the band’s discovery but I can’t wait for this book to move past this. There’s also the growing attraction between this adult and the fifteen year old child that I’m having a hard time with. By the time he’s twenty-three and she’s seventeen these two have moved out of the friend zone, it’s kind of sweet and romantic how they feel about each other. It’s a good story but the pace of the story is dragging. Again there are events, conversations and things that are not moving the story forward. The storyline from age 15 to adulthood was too much, it felt like I was reading a teen journal and I didn’t feel close to the two main characters. The ending was good and I did finish the book. I’m giving this book three stars.

I would say it was around 3.5 stars. Samantha and Rover were perfect for each other. Samantha is Rover's bandmate's little sister, so technically, the trope is "brother's best friend", though Rover & Dante aren't best friends.

The story starts when Samantha's 15 and Rover's 20, but I don't think anything sexual happened between them until she was 17. Rover also made her turn 18 for them to have sex. (I would have been so annoyed if I was Samantha.)

Rover suffers from anxiety, and Samantha is the balm to his nerves. The conflict is that Samantha's brother and Rover's father disapprove of their relationship.

I was confused at the beginning why the two were together, but then the story flashbacked 5 years to the past to where the two first started having feelings for each other.

My favorite parts of the book were the sex scenes. Those were quite good. I thought the ending was a tad too long, though readers who like a good grovel will enjoy it.

I'm looking forward to Dante's & Elec's books, especially since Dante claims not to believe in love. How silly, lol.

Sam sure knew what she wanted from a young age. Her older brothers friend and sexy band mate. These two weren't able to stay apart until he was forced to and broke her heart. Their struggle to reunite ws. Great story of love and great sexual chemistry!!! Loved all the side characters too! Her brother and Tyler more so!!

I knew I was going to love Rover when I read Fast Flick! Sam & Rover were made for each other.

The plot of friends to lovers over the years made me nervous in the beginning, then nostalgic, then sad, then content. Things don't always work out the way you plan but they work out, sometimes for the best.

The pacing was good, not rushed or drawn out.

I liked the story, of falling in love in stages, and dealing with life together with the support of your family and friends.

I'm a hopeless romantic and the AMT series gives hope that book boyfriends will always be best.

Would recommend & hopefully there's a 3rd book planned so I can keep up with the AMT group.
