Home, he thought softly. I’ve started calling it home.

This book picks up shortly after Finding Nessie ends and it doesn't slow down one bit. Things are happening left and right. Cam and Lachlan delve deeper into their feelings for one another and their blossoming relationship.

‘You’re right when you say we don’t know enough about each other. But I want to know everything, Lachy. I want to know everything about you. And I want you to know everything about me. Even the… even the parts I’m not proud of.’

Lachlan has been alone for so long. He’s been in the Loch for 300 years.

‘I don’t take lovers, Cam,’ Lachlan whispered into the duvet. ‘It always hurts too much, for one reason or another. When I met you, I thought… I thought it would be like the others. A week or two of pleasant trysts. Something easy to break off. To end. But every time you leave, I feel such hopeless loss.

As discussed in the prior book, Cam wants to look into Lachlan’s curse to try to help him find a way to rid himself of it, but along the way Cam’s life becomes in danger and they have to change the focus of their research.

I was supposed to be saving you, Cam thought ruefully. Allowing the tables to be flipped seemed decidedly un-witchlike. But, by god, did he want to be saved by this beautiful man.

The sexy times are just as amazing as they were in the first book. And the sweetness is there too.

Lachlan’s lips crashed against his. It was a ferocious kiss. His tongue invaded Cam’s mouth like he was trying to fill him, taste him, to capture the essence of him before any of it disappeared.

This book introduces a werewolf and a small group of hunters searching for said werewolf. Through a surprising new ally, Cam learns that his family has been betrayed time and again by someone he thought was a friend, which leads to an intense confrontation and a surprise twist to save one of our MCs.

Edwina took the wonderful world she created in Finding Nessie and expanded upon it in the best ways. We learn more about Cam's family, we learn more about how Lachlan initially got tricked into becoming Nessie, how lonely it’s been for him over the years and we got to learn more about the lore in this world. The supporting characters in this are wonderful. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

‘Cam, do you know how lost I was? You found me, Cam. You found me.’ Lachlan was desperate to grab hold of him properly. Cam shifted to let him sit up. His face clouded with lust as Lachlan began chaotically ripping off his clothes. ‘You need me right now, Lachy?’ he said, eyes lidded and voice husky.

One last comment, I love this series so much. I feel like more people need to read it!!! Don't sit on this. Go read it.

*** I received an ARC of this book from the author and this is my honest opinion. ***

OMG! OMG the ending of this book!

I can't even say anything because it's too spoiler-y but OMG haha I'm legit shook.

It's nothing bad for our couple itself, I loved Cam and Lachlan together in this one so much, because they're really falling for each other in this one. I really love books with established couples and following the same couple, where we get to see what's next for them and how they make the relationship work. So yeah, in case this isn't clear, this book picks up after the first book, so you definitely must read these in order.

The last quarter of this book is fast-paced and action filled. I definitely enjoyed it more than the first book now that I know we're following this couple across a trilogy, and OMG I NEED the third book!

I love this series! It was even better than Book 1. The plot had my full attention. We find out the deal with Cam's magic, who cursed Lachy, and why.. I was NOT expecting that.
The last 20% was stressful.

The romance warmed my heart and tickled my pickle. Their love confessions 🥹 oouuuu and that time on the Jetty 🥵

I loved hearing about Wolfie. I'm pretty sure the bad guy in this is also the dick hole that trapped Moss in The Wulvers Bond.

Omg, and I loved Donald and Helen!!! I got a bit teary when the townspeople got together to help Lachy with The Lucky Teapot.

HFN.
Off to the last one.

A lot of plot happening in this one, and well-executed too! Ancient family history, curses, revelations, a clever climactic moment … I continue to be impressed with how much is packed into the pages of these novellas. I do wish there was more space, especially to explore the characterization of the leads, but I’m really enjoying this mini-series so far.

Not far off." Lachlan's smile quirked. "They're monster hunters."
Cam nearly dropped the plate he was filling. "Monster hunters? What they hell are they hunting?"
Lachlan gave him a long, slow look that communicated, with the slight raise of an eyebrow and a twitch to his smile, Are you kidding me?

I read Finding Nessie on a whim, and was delighted to see this book releasing in the not so distant future. While book 1 was a fun adventure with a strong spicy connection, book 2 really digs deeper and explores love and loneliness in the face of immortality - or not.

Lachlan, who was determined to save him.
I was supposed to be saving you, Cam though ruefully.

This book definitely didn't go the way I thought it would! I keep being pleasantly surprised by this otherwise unknown indie author and the plot elements they've weaved into this series so far. I love that and even the details just around that - the adjustment to - was fun and well thought out.

The introduction of Aunt Meredith as a secondary character was nice also - it was fun to see Cam with a 'mother figure' and helped cement the idea that he isn't this all-knowing, badass witch but really just a blue collar mechanic with a destiny fostered onto him.

"I'll trade again."
"As if I'd let you."

After the way things ended, I'll definitely pick up Saving Nessie when it's released!

No/low relationship angst
Established couple
Paranormal Mystery
Single third person POV (until climax then dual)
HFN

This was such a great continuation of Cam and Lachlan's journey. The relationship is still pretty new but it has all the things I love: affectionate words and gestures, a few moments of "oh, shit, I have big feelings" that go pretty hand-in-hand with cute moments of mild possessiveness, and some steamy bits that fit right in and make the romance that much sweeter. Full disclosure - I was low key nervous while reading because books about established couples tend to nose dive directly into drama at some point. Ohmygod not here! Cam is still his adorable mix of insecure but steadfast and Lach is still as caring and patient as ever.

My heart can't handle the way these two care for one another, and not just as Cam and Lach but as Cam and the Loch Ness monster as well. A scorched human hand on Nessie's snout, Nessie's trills of reassurance while in the Loch... These two could be bitter about their curses but instead they just keep moving forward. Cam and Lach don't hold back and play it safe but instead they go all in. I'm a hopeless romantic and I loved everything about their relationship.

And let's not forget the plot- full of mystery, magic, and monsters. The mystery in this book went in a direction I hadn't seen coming and absolutely thrilled me! It had quite a bit of depth and, although resolved for now, lends into what's coming next. Holy plot twist, Batman, I cannot wait to read the next book! Also, a new character is introduced and I'm not ashamed to say I'm already excited to see him again in the future.

Overall, this story soared far higher than any expectations I had in place. I absolutely recommend and cannot wait to read what comes next.

Cam Breathed Him In

‘The front doors opened before he could grasp the handle and he was net by Lachlan’s radiant, beaming smile, followed by both arms as they flung eagerly around his neck. Cam tipped his head down to intercept Lachlan’s smiling lips. The kiss was warm and slow.’

This quite is close to the beginning of Edwina Lindsey’s MM paranormal romance, Hiding Nessie. Book two in her The Walker Witch Files series.

We met Cam in Finding Nessie, as his witchy family legacy had him seeking out the mythical sea monster, Nessie. Well, Cam gets so much more than he could have ever dreamt of once he meets Lachlan.

This is a beautiful low angst romance that has so much feeling, even as we meet unexpected creatures, both evil and good, who create a complex situation for these two sweethearts of men.

Escape to Edwina’s magical romance!

This is book 2 in the series and it feels crazy to say, but I liked it even more than the first book - and Finding Nessie is one of my personal favorites!

Hiding Nessie is an amazing continuation of Cam and Lachlan's story, featuring a great deal of character growth, exciting plot developments, and the introduction of some VERY intriguing new characters. I fell completely in love with Cam in this book - this author has a gift for packing an emotional punch in a relatively short page count, and I went from crying to smiling to gripping my kindle in anticipation several times throughout the story.

I can't remember the last time a sequel felt so well-done and satisfying, while still leaving me excited for more. I can't recommend it enough - and I can't wait for Book 3!

I really enjoyed this one. I would recommend reading the books in order to fully enjoy everything this series has to offer.

My heart broke when certain revelations were made. The author pulled out all the stops towards the end because my heart was pounding away like crazy as events unfolded. I didn’t see a few things coming which shocked me. The twists and the turns made this instalment that much exciting to read.

I can’t wait to read the next book. Cam and Lachlan’s lives have forever changed but how will they cope with their new reality?

Fantastic book! Highly recommend!

Needing a bit more of a gruff biker witch and his adorable tea shop monster boyfriend? Well Edwina has delivered with this great sequel to Finding Nessie.

The werewolf on the loose in the Loch was inspired to mislead us to who the real villain on this book was supposed to be.
I want more details on this Wulver and how he came to be allies with Cam’s parents.

I knew that Lachlan’s curse was going to somehow tie into Cam’s family, but I never saw that plot twist coming into play. Also how is that man still young? Edwina, I have questions!!!!!!

I can’t wait to see Cam adjust to now being the holder of the Loch Ness curse and how it will offset his ancestor trying to burn out his life force to stay young. Plus, we all know there's going to be a spicy power top scene from Cam soon when Lachlan has an itch he just can’t seem to scratch.

This is such a great series! It's clear the author has thought through where the plot is going and the transition from the first book to this one and the set-ups for what is coming in book three all fit together and flow smoothly. Can't wait for that third book by the way. Cam and Lachlan's relationship continues to deepen in this one and it's lovely to see the moments between them with Lachlan both in Nessie form and human form. The monster hunting group provides a glimpse of what I assume will always be a problem for these two and it was interesting to see them deal with it. I like that the series continues to have a mystery/detection element and that in each book we learn a bit more about both Cam's and Lachlan's past and magical abilities.

I was so excited to get back to this story and I was left gasping for air at the cliffhanger. What a twist happened in this book, I had no idea we would go there. But it makes total sense and I am itching to get to the next book to find out what happens to Cam and Lachlan (and I desperately want to see their HEA happen).

I love learning new things about Cam and his family history. It was fantastically done and I think the side characters we got introduced to were the perfect addition to both the overall plot as well as giving Cam more layers.

Their love is so tight and so big and I was humming with happiness at each of the happy moments these two boys shared in the book. Ah, so so so good!

Great second novella.

I enjoyed this second novella in the series more than book one. We get more background on both Cam and Lachlan, and their emotions and feelings are more developed. I liked the storyline and twists as well. I'm looking forward to their HEA in book three.

The same negatives I mention for book one still stand for this book: odd/rare choice of '...' British quotation marks vs "..." American, and comma use/misuse. However, the amount of typos and missing words was improved!

Cam is the last of the highland witches and Lachlan is the Loch Ness Monster part of the time. Both individuals hold a curse. Lachlan needs to return to Loch Ness every night and Cam has fire in his soul that could kill him when it gets out of control. They each want to help the other find a cure for their curses. In the mean time there is a ‘werewolf’ following Cam and hunters following the wolf. You have mystery, suspense, magic and a love story in this book.

Another fantastic book in this series! I absolutely adore these characters. They truly care about each other and work hard to make sure the other is taken care of first. Don't see that much nowadays! I love the way the author used the "beasts" to show who the real beasts are. Brilliant! I love, love, love these books and can't wait to read the next one. Edwina Lindsey, you have an amazing gift. I love the road you're taking! Thanks for these spectacular books. I adore them.

It's a good continuation of the first book, it's still original idea, I will continue reading. It's definitely going in unexpected directions. I think it could have been a bit less superficial and a bit more quirky (the quirk is not natural enough). But is was a good read, I had fun.
Having said this - the rating system these days deems 3 stars already as a bad review (and I think that's stupdi but...) and therefore I give 3.5, rounded up to 4.

Beautifully done story and had everything that the description promised. I enjoyed how good Edwina Lindsey wrote this, it does a great job in being interesting and having realistic characters. I enjoyed the romance going on and it left me wanting more. It had everything that I was looking for in a sequel.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This Loch Ness MM romance didn’t need to go so hard. I only finally started it to clear the series from my KU. And yet. AND YET. Here I am rating it 5 stars. I really love this established world. And the characters had enough depth that I didn’t even think to stop and go “now hold on a minute. They’ve only known each other for three months.” They got that chemistry~

This was a great continuation that is definitely keeping my interest, but good gravy it ends with such the need to read more! Fortunately we get Cam and Lachlan more secure in their relationship in this book, so we see them progressing more towards the HEA rather than just a HFN. This had a great plot twist that I can't wait to see how it all works out.

3.5 rounded up

A very solid follow up to Finding Nessie! While there were a few “twists” I saw coming, there was one toward the end that got me good! Interested to see how Cam and Lachlan’s story wraps up in the next book.

Utterly BONKERS stuff, with an attempt at world building that reveals more holes than my last attempt at crochet. But, a short and fun read nonetheless
