I really liked this book, it had such great illustrations and a great message too. I enjoyed that it was a longer children's book but still short enough to keep their attention. The little owl in the book what bravery is and that with a little support you can do almost anything.

We simply adored Brave Little Owl, it definitely has the aww factor! The storyline is adorable, charming, full of fun and adventure. Little Owl is a brave little thing, full of courage and even though she is afraid of trying new things, she gets there in the end. The illustrations in this book are beautifully vibrant and really interesting to look at. Brave Little Owl is brilliantly written and thoughtfully put together with a fab little message for little ones. We were genuinely rooting for Little Owl the whole way and I think anyone that has the pleasure of reading this will be too, she is a real cutie!

Grandpa Owl wants to surprise Grandma Owl for her birthday, by learning all the baby owls to fly. The boys are rearing to go and excited to be learning to fly, but poor Little Owl is absolutely terrified! Her brothers tease her and she feels pretty down in the dumps. But with the help of Grandpa Owl she learns that it's OK to be afraid of trying new things, even grownups get afraid from time to time and she needs to be a brave Little Owl!

Will Little Owl put her fears to one side and give flying a go in time for her Grandmothers birthday?

Well the ending is another aww moment! We couldn't of been happier with how everything played out. Brave Little Owl needs to go on your little ones wishlist today, it really is so sweet!

This book is really very cute. It tells the story of Little Owl, she’s scared to learn to fly but desperate to conquer her fears. I think anyone reading the book will find themselves rooting for her, particularly when her very first efforts end in disappointment. Her mildly bratty older brothers also help the reader to side with Little Owl! I liked the way Grandpa Owl was firmly on everyone’s side, wanting his grandbabies to succeed in flying, but also stood up for Little Owl when her brothers were mean – his message that not everyone is good at everything is such a valuable one for all children to hear.

The illustrations are very attractive, they’re richly coloured without ever feeling loud. The story takes place as night is falling, the colours used reflect this with the sky becoming darker over the course of the book. Towards the end of the book there is a single fold out page, this works brilliantly well with the story telling making a real moment out of something that deserves such recognition.

A really lovely picture book that I’d certainly be looking at adding to my collection.
