Brody was back with his high school sweetheart, Geo, and he believed that this time would be different. But Geo isn't a one-man guy, and he made Brody feel ashamed of the side of himself that never fully grew up. Even though Brody wants to act Little sometimes, he knows Geo isn't going to ever be a good Daddy for him. But when Geo takes off, leaving him alone again, he begins to believe the lies he's heard about being a sick freak who will never be loved. To numb the hurt and humiliation, he turns to alcohol. It's the only way to survive each day.
Aaron runs a junk removal service and salvage store, helping people clear out attics or get rid of stuff prior to moving. When he runs into Jesse, he offers to take some junk off his hands that he’s getting rid of for a friend going through a hard time.
The stuff can all be sold or donated to the local shelter, all of it except a few “personal” items that probably didn’t mean to get batched in with the rest. When Aaron tries to return the valuables, he finds a broken boy who just needs some love and attention.
And that’s exactly what Aaron is capable of offering.
I'm still really enjoying this series, because it's so simple, quick, and sweet. I love that there's next to no angst, as that's exactly what I need right now. The insta-love is very, very insta in all of these, but I don't even care.
3⭐️ - Aaron and Brody are super cute, loved how Aaron knows how to take care of Brody, just not my cup of tea. Not a bad read though!
Brody has been dumped by his crappy ex (again). After drinking himself into a stupor, his friend helps him clear out anything that reminds him of his ex. When the donation center finds his backpack filled with hopes and dreams he is absolutely mortified.
Aaron planned to just bring back his passport and the cash, but after seeing what else was in the bag, and who the bag belonged to, he couldn’t help but want to be around Brody. Clearly in need of someone to take control, he knows he can fill that roll.
Super cute! I’m stopping the series here out of lack of interest but they’re all well written and good stories, just not vibing with me anymore
This was an okay read, I guess. It was way too short for the subject matter and didn’t even really delve into Brody’s lingering issues after Geo. Weeks are skipped where we are to assume Brody gets some closure on his previous relationship while building a new one with Aaron.
Aaron was my favorite of the two. He seemed genuinely caring. Brody seemed a little one dimensional to me. The whole story was kind of rushed and I felt like several details could have been fleshed out better. Not my favorite by far, but it wasn’t terrible.
Brody was with his high school sweetheart again believing this time it would be different but it was not and worse he made Brody ashamed of his little side and so when Geo took off again he began to believe the lies that he is a sick freak and will never be loved. So to numb the pain and humiliation he turns to alcohol. Aaron runs a junk removal service and salvage store helping people clean out their attack or get rid of stuff before a home move. When he runs into his friend Jesse he offers to take some junk off his hands that he is getting rid of for a friend going through a hard time. It can all be sold or donated to the local shelter but he finds some "personal" stuff that probably didn't mean to be with the rest. When Aaron tries to return the valuables, he finds a broken boy who just needs some love and attention - something Aaron can offer.
I enjoyed this story with the broken little one who needed help to sober up and realise that he actually could be loved and could have the Daddy he always wanted. I loved the way that Aaron cared for him and made sure that he was doing the basic things like eating and drinking enough let alone any of the little stuff which he needed at times of great stress. This was a sweet story and had a lovely HEA. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with a BDSM-like DDLM dynamic.
I was surprised to find this to be a Little story. After I completed the book I finally realized what the title actually meant. Brody felt like his life had been trashed when his on again off again relationship suddenly ended unexpectedly. He'd been so optimistic this time and the ending was devastating. Then he went about trashing his health by going on a dangerous drinking binge.
Aaron was friends with the Daddies from Books 1 & 2 in the Blue Collar Daddies in the City series. He had been looking for the perfect Boy for awhile. His friends finding their Boys made him feel even more lonely. He accidentally stumbled across a really needy young man who was hurting and so directionless that he felt called/pulled to help him. This is a true hurt/ comfort story.
Aaron had to reevaluate all he knew about Daddy/Boy relationships to make sure his new Little was properly taken care of and that they each understood the rules/responsibilities of being in such a heavy power dynamic. Aaron had to make sure Brody realized he was not worthless trash, but Aaron's greatest treasure.
Brody is a young man who was just dumped, again, by his high school boyfriend, Geo. Wallowing in his sorrow he gets drunk, really drunk. He the tells his friend Jesse to get rid of all of the stuff that reminds him of his ex, including things that belonged to Brody himself, hoping he would be able to share with Geo. Jesse takes all of Brody's stuff to Aaron a man who runs a salvage shop. Most of the stuff is brand new, and when he sees a backpack and glances inside, finding Brody's passport, and cash, along with some other stuff, that Brody probably didn't want anyone to know about. Aaron decides to return it to Brody and finds him falling down drunk, but his instinct is to take care of Brody. Soon Brody and Aaron are finding out what it's like to be cared for. Sweet story.
This isn’t a long story but it told so much. A Daddy/boy relationship where the boy wasn’t able to be himself in any relationship until his right Daddy came along. And then there was the Daddy who couldn’t be the Daddy who he needed to be because he was waiting for his right boy. Together they were the perfect pair. What a wonderful story, right? Right! At least I think so.
Brody found the courage to dump Geo, his abusive ex, and to give all stuff related to Geo to his best friend Jesse. It’s life changing when Jesse’s friend Aaron knocks on Brody’s door to return his cash and other valuables from a brand new backpack. Enjoy the dynamics of Aaron and Brody’s new relationship that help them get through some tough times as well as great, steamy moments!!!
Aaron and Brody are cute in their own way. This is a super easy, quick read with zero angst and mild spice. Aaron becomes Brody’s Daddy and Brody has a Little side that he likes to occasionally explore. Personally, I’m not a fan of the Daddy / Little dynamic but it seems to work for them. For those of us who like dark romance, this series is a great “palate” cleanser. Not great, just ok enough to quickly enjoy.
I am glad that Brody got his own story and a daddy of his own. We last saw him tell his friends Jesse and Jason that he was back with Geo ans making plans for the future which the other joys were not happy about. Well written and romantic i absolutely loved this instalment of this beautiful series
Brody finally got rid of the boyfriend problem but now he's trying to drown his sorrows. When his friend takes some of his stuff to a salvage man well that's interesting. Aaron, the salvage man takes Brody his stuff back and ends up salvaging him.
This series didn’t have a great start but it’s even getting worse. Everything happens off page. And when something happens on page, it’s just ridiculously written. I think I should give up on this author
Great book ,, abuse happens everywhere no matter where you live and in this one he found his safe haven with someone who really wants him for himself not for money
This book is super sweet. I really enjoyed how much Aaron wanted to be the perfect Daddy for Brody and Brody wanted to be the best boy for him. I recommend this book!
I enjoyed Aaron and Brody’s story. It’s sweet, low angst, mildly kinky, and a lovely addition to the series. I’m looking forward to Billy’s story next.
I’m so happy to see that Brody has finally found his way to his new life with Aaron and finding a place to live his fantasy and living his dream together with the world
Some of Brody's choices and thought processes I didn't like cuz they felt superficial. And it was another quickly developed romance. But it was good overall.
brody was so sweet and aaron came into his life at the right time. they were so lovely to read about and his ex is a massive jerk! the nerve of men smh!
