Leah Who knew buying a run-down house would be so much work? It was hers, though, and while it might not be much, to Leah Day, it was perfect because it meant she was free from her cheating ex-husband. What she wasn’t prepared for was the roof to leak into her bedroom… She also wasn’t expecting her hot neighbor to come marching over to scold her for climbing onto the roof.
Jaxon In the small town of Pine Hollow, life was good for Jaxon Sawyer. He had his best friends of over twenty years, his home, a job that paid all his bills, and his family. The only thing missing was someone to come home to, and unless he moved away to a bigger city, he likely wouldn’t find that anytime soon. Until she moved in next door, causing his Daddy radar to go wild.
Can she learn to trust him enough to call him Daddy, or will her insecurities ruin it all?
Kate Oliver has aspired to be an author all her life. From the time she was known as "that girl who always has her nose stuck in a book", Kate Oliver has wanted to be a writer. Currently, fetish romance is her favorite for both reading and writing. Kate has been a part of the fetish community for many years, and strives to write stories that realistically reflect that lifestyle. Her favorite part of writing her own books is dreaming up the hot and steamy, yet loving and strict, Daddies that Littles dream about.

Jaxon is the type of man who gives you the shivers with his words and keeps you warm with his heart. He was so sweet and amazing and gah I just loved him! And Leah was so sweet and caring and strong! I thought little bear was the perfect nickname and this book made my heart hurt oh so well!
Liked this book, I enjoy Kate Oliver’s books a lot and the way you immerse in the story being so simple and nice. Will look forward to reading this serie.
This is the book that started my obsession with Kate Oliver. This one started me down a rabbit hole and at this point I have read 8 of her books. I have read DDlg books before but the way that Kate Oliver writes them makes me think that she is either VERY good at research or that she has some experience in that world. This is also the first one I have read where the little regresses as young as Leah did and I liked seeing that pov. The epilogue was hilarious and I really really wish I could move to Pine Hollow to be friends with all the littles there. Great work Kate Oliver!
DNF. 😱 Gutted as I was really looking forward to this. Sorry, I hate it when the men fight against having a relationship!
I tried, I really did. I’m nearly halfway through and Jaxon is annoying me so much! So he’s had a bad marriage, Leah had a bad marriage. His wife cheated on him, Leah’s husband cheated on her. He’s a wimp! He’s scared of having another relationship after his wife cheated on him. Boo hoo.
Leah is a Little, and Jaxon is a daddy. (Sort of.) When Leah moves in next door to Jaxon he’s really grumpy with her, and she finds it upsetting as she really likes him. When he comes to her rescue a few times and Daddy’s her, she gets her hopes up that he might like her. He does but he’s scared after his terrible marriage.
Sorry but i can’t emphasise how much I hate it when men are scared of having a relationship. Especially when the woman just gets on with it, despite her fears. Nope! Not for me….. 😭🥲🥲 Really disappointed.
I can already tell that this new series by Kate Oliver is going to be a hit with readers. Why? Because while we love our billionaire romances, the guys in this series are going to be blue collar workers who have every day things to deal with. Leah is getting away from her ex and moved to Pine Hollow. Next door is Jaxon, who is also divorced. Both of them have scars from broken relationships and have decided to not get into another one!! Right!!!!!!!! You know as soon as Jaxon sees Leah, she's gonna be embedded in his mind. This story was funny, cute, sad and tearful at times but oh man, is it ever good! You'll want to smack Jaxon upside the head a time or two as he is being stubborn but then you'll cheer for him when he helps Leah with problem after problem in the house she bought! Ms. Oliver wrote Leah's medical issues with care and the detail it deserves. I loved how Jaxon helped Leah through all of this!! I've read every book that Ms. Oliver has written and I think this is going to be a favorite!
Jaxon is a must read! “You and I are going to have a discussion about your fetish with climbing on things.” I absolutely adore the humor that Ms. Oliver weaves into her stories. I don’t know how many times I have literally laughed out loud while reading one of her books. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this book. I read many books that I really like but there are some books that just grab you. You can’t stop reading and you hang on every word. This is one of those books. It has the perfect mix of sassy and sexy with sweet and loving. This book will be one I read many times. The characters are well defined and I enjoyed seeing some familiar characters as well. There is a HEA but it doesn’t come easily. Add in a hilarious prank and this book is a winner! I love how Jaxon is willing to do anything to take care of Leah. I love that Leah is a plus size woman and Jaxon tells her every time he looks at her how much he loves her body and how perfect she is. This book is a definite 5 star read!
I really liked this story line and how the characters progress their relationship!!! I also really loved all of the friends!!! I also don’t mind that Leah calls Jaxon daddy! I find it super hot. I just don’t think the whole little thing is for me! It’s was a great read and some of the scenes were fire but the play time and the bottles and pacifier at bedtime and some other stuff I won’t name so I do t give it away just don’t do it for me. No shame for anybody that it does work for cuz everybody has something…it’s just not my something! However, I really liked Leah and Jaxon as individuals, their first meet and some of the things they went through as friends before really progressing their relationship I could see as happening in real events for someone and their wasn’t really a lot of drama which I liked! I will still probably read the rest of the series because I genuinely liked all the friends and the hints dropped about things going on between the groups had me intrigued.
Jaxon is the first installment in Kate Oliver’s Daddies of Pine Hollow series. In this age-play romance, readers witness the romantic journey of Leah Day and Jaxon Sawyer. Leah, an Lg, is divorced and moved away from a manipulative and abusive ex-husband, Kevin. She bought a dilapidated house next door to Jaxon, a grumpy DD, who owns a construction company. Both Leah and Jaxon are attracted to each other and both suffer from emotional wounds. Can they get over their emotional wounds to have a life together?
Kate Oliver penned another delightful age-play romance. Both her primary and secondary characters are unique and play pivotal roles in this moving and well-written plot. I enjoy the way she interjects a dash of suspense in this story with this character-driven plot line. Ms. Oliver uses literary devices such as dialog, dual POV, and descriptive language to move her plot. In so doing, she allows her readers to really get to know the lead characters.
Review: Jaxon (Daddies Of Pine Hollow #1) By: Katie Oliver. Stars: 5⭐️. Spice: 3.8🌶️.
Jaxon was so good! I say this every time I read a Kate Oliver book and I mean it every single time. She is thee best DDLG author there is in my own personal opinion. If you think that’s something you’ll be into I highly recommend any of her books.
For me I believe the Pine Hollow daddies are more on the realistic side, Jaxon and his friends are blue collar workers, have a lifestyle like any other normal person. And so are the women/little girls of this series!
Jaxon was a great introduction into the Pine Hollow series, Jaxon and Leah were so great together! Jaxon has lived in Pine Hollow his whole life and Leah ends up being his new neighbor. This story was really good and I highly recommend it!
I was waiting to get this book and it definitely paid off! Leah and her grumpy Daddy, neighbor, Jaxon was sooooo great!!! Leah is so adorable and just slides under her Daddy's skin and into his grumpy heart. I love how Jaxon keeps saying how he's not going to get involved with Leah but is always right there when she gets herself into trouble. I love how he loves her curves and helps her through her medical problem without a thought. I love Jaxon's sweet dog Willie, and how he never put his name together with the fact that the dog was one-eyed. Too funny. This book had so many LOL scenes that had me chuckling even later. It also ended hysterically! I can't wait for the next book. I better get working on more points for a reward. Totally recommend this book! ;D
Oh my this story was something else. Both her and Jaxon are divorced from people that turned their world on its head by the amount of abuse they went through with their ex’s. Leah is determined to make it on her own though the house she bought is really going to try her resilience. Jaxon met her late one evening while she was wearing a bear onesie. She was so embarrassed when she got back inside. Their second meeting almost had Jaxon having a heart attack as he talked her off the roof of her house during a rainstorm. I is then that Jaxon discovers that she is a Little. I promise there were so many times I was smiling so hard I had tears running down my cheeks. The hardest obstacle these two have to get over are their insecurities. It was so much fun reading of their story.
This book was a good read, funny with likeable characters, no cliffhanger, HEA.
Leah moves in next door to Jaxson. She is a little and left a bad marriage, her house is run down and she is slowly fixing it up. Jax is a daddy who has been burned by a past break up and a renovator so reluctantly helps her fix her house. He is drawn to her little side and she is a bright sunshine that drags the grump out of his hermit lifestyle. I liked how funny it was, how they both had issues and worked through them. Her girl group was great, we all need friends like that! I was annoyed that after referring to it all book about Dane and Summer’s past they go to tell you the details, but all you get is ‘we were shocked as he finished his story’ you don’t actually get the story, it’s the next book in the series but give me more than that if you want me to read the next book.
The wonderful Kate Oliver has brought us another great start to a fabulous new series.Jason is a definite page turner and is starting off the Daddies of Pine Hollow series with a bang. Leah is starting her life over after a disastrous marriage, with a new home and a fresh start. The only thing that is missing is a perfect Daddy. But after her marriage fails, Leah decides she doesn't need a man. Jaxon is her grumpy new neighbor who has sworn off relationships after his ex leaves his heart in tatters. After the first meeting, both Leah and Jaxon try their hardest to fight the attraction between them, but fate has other plans. I highly recommend you grab Jaxon today and fall in love with Kate Oliver's latest series.
I really enjoyed the start to this new series and I'm looking forward to reading more as they're released.
I did knock off one star because it annoys me a bit when male characters make assumptions and then refuse to communicate. Jaxon did not grovel quite enough for his overreaction in my opinion.
I do want to say though, after reading the way Jaxon handled Leah's period and PCOS symptoms, I fell head over heels in love with him and think that more books should include scenes like that. It really showcases how much a man is willing to take care of the woman he loves. Just as long as authors do their best to avoid making it weird of course *side-eying EL James and the monstrosity that is the 50SOG period scene*. Even period sex is fine, just try to avoid going full King Charles.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story about Jaxon and Leah, both have sworn off having another relationship after both experienced horrible divorce after their spouses had cheated on them. Leah tends to get into a little bit of mischief that keeps Jaxon on his toes, and even though he has sworn off having a relationship, Leah breaks down the walls around his heart, and before he knows that he is in love. Leah falls in love with Jaxon even though he is a grumpy old man, she soon has him laughing and wanting to have her in his life. I enjoyed how Jaxon showed Leah how she was a beautiful Little, who deserved to be happy. There is a happy ending for these two, but also the future of their friends finding their DdLg partners to look forward to.
I am voluntarily leaving my review for this book and this is my honest and fair opinion.
I really do love Kate Oliver’s books. The men are all softies for their women, and the women are strong and capable. Jaxon was oh such a grump. He was hurt really bad by his ex and so has given up on relationships and love. Then Leah moves next door and he’s thrown by how much he wants again. Leah has also been hurt by her ex and she is starting over. She is such an optimistic, loving person who has major negative thoughts about herself, courtesy of that ex. I love how they were together. I also liked how Leah wasn’t the only one who needed to heal from the ex. You don’t generally get stories where the man has been hurt just as badly. They both have issues and they both help the other to heal and take that step forward. Loved them!
Jaxon is the first of a brand new series for Kate Oliver. This is the Daddies of Pine Hollow series. It features more of your every day type of Daddy, Jaxon and his adorable new neighbor Leah. It's a grumpy/sunshine Daddy Dom book. Jaxon is a bit of a grump but secretly is a sweetheart. Leah is just an adorable mess. She's recovering from divorce and trying to stand on her own against the big scary world. Add in some amazing new characters, and a one eyed dog and you have an incredible story. There are laughs and so much spice. Kate definitely hit the ground running with this series it's amazing!
My heart is so full and happy after reading about Jaxon and Leah. He’s all alpha, handsome and so Daddy! And Leah?! She is such a breath of fresh air. I love the fact that she is a plus size woman as I can so easily relate to her. When they first meet, I laughed and smiled and just knew that somehow, someway they would end up together. Jaxonis so kind and caring when it comes to Leah, and I loved that about him. He shows her that she is beautiful just the way she is. These two have such major hot chemistry and I thoroughly enjoyed their witty banter. For the first book in this new series, it certainly is an excellent start! Absolutely loved it!!!
Kate Oliver stands out as one of the few authors in the DD/lg genre whose books I not only read but genuinely enjoy. I was eagerly awaiting her new book Jaxon.
The narrative introduces our sweet MFC, navigating life post-divorce in a quaint town. Here, she crosses paths with our tough, protective ‘daddy’ male lead. True to the genre’s norm, he becomes a steadfast guardian for our little MFC. The story unfolds seamlessly, blending engaging storytelling with enticing spicy scenes. Overall, Jaxon proves to be a compelling read, leaving me eager for the next installments in this promising series.
Awe, Leah and Jaxon are so cute together!! Kate Oliver writes the best dd/lg books; they show an amazing representation of age-play and the relationship dynamic!! I love Jaxon nickname for Leah Little Bear so cute!! She has PCOS and her daddy helps her through her painful period by taking care of her than some sexy time. It was special for sure! This story also had a cute dog in it named Willie! I love how they helped each other get over bad divorces and helped each other open their hearts to a meaningful and lasting relationship! I’m excited to read more from this series!!
You will absolutely fall in love with Jaxon and Leah! He is her super grumpy neighbor, who has some trust issues from the past relationship. She is just getting her life back together after a divorce that was toxic. Jaxon can't help himself when he sees her doing dangerous things to fix her house. Steps in to help her but in the process they fall in love. The past knocks on the door for Leah causing issues with Jaxon (no cheating) but they come back together. This is one of my favorite troupes, the grumpy/sunshine and it is absolutely perfect. You will not be disappointed reading this!!!!
Kate never misses. EVER! Best Daddies around, no matter what the premise is. Couldn’t stop once I started and devoured it. Daddy Jaxon is gruff, burly, and such a grump. I absolutely love him. He took the time to research PCOS since the FMC has it, and the best possible ways to help her. It was informative and just a really nice addition to touch on in this story. This was cute, funny, and spicy at the right times. So excited for the other guys stories.
Oh my! I love Jaxon and Leah's story! Kate did an amazing job bringing us these two wonderful characters! Grumpy/sunshine is so fun to read! Jaxon fighting with his past at the same time Leah is makes it fun between them. Their whole dynamic was great to see unfold! I definitely love the star of the show one-eyed Willie! The dog was a great touch! Great story and great characters. Can't wait for the next book! Definitely a must read!
Jaxon & Leah are the best😍😍 I absolutely love this story from Kate Oliver. Together, Jaxon and Leah are perfect and perfection together. The epilogue is honestly the bestest/funniest ever. Trust you've gotta read Jaxon, Kate Oliver has written another perfect Daddy book and my favourite part was when she explained PCOS. Thank-you Thank-you Kate for a perfect read🩷🩷
Kate Oliver has such a great way of telling a story that not only brings the book to life but also makes you call in love with the characters and root for them. Jason and Leah are perfect and a great way to start the Daddies of Line Hollow series and with that all I can add is I am so there for all of them. Bring on Dan's and Summer I am so ready for them. Also go one-eyed Willie.
