Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

A mixed bag however a few stand out stories. 'The Big Question' by Garth Nix, 'Los San Patricios' by Roddy Doyle, 'Kindred' by Jackie Kay and 'Amother Country' by Margo Lanagan I thoroughly enjoyed, but sadly not all of the others.

This is a collection of short stories and I would really have liked to give a variety of star ratings. The premise of the collection is stories about somewhere else. Lots of fodder there. A couple of the stories were great - Roddy Doyle's sticks out, it's about two Irish blokes who are high and get transported to turn-of-the-century Mexico in a fire fight. Another about an alien landing is good. I've forgotten a lot of them, I have to be honest. But there was also some real dire ones - a stream-of-consciousness one about heaven was terrible. I'll come back to this review when I can check over the contents and give a more full account, but really, avoid. There were some stories I didn't even bother to finish. Disappointing collection.

A quaint and charming collection of short stories, some better than others. However, all are easy to read - nothing lost - and the gems are worth persevering through all of Somewhere. (Also, the hardback cover is absolutely gorgeous.)

Personal Highlights: Kindred by Jackie Kay, South by Gillian Philip, The Future According to Luke by James Robertson, Another Country by Margo Lanagan and The Big Question by Garth Nix.
