"Always remember, you're my stars in an endless night sky"
The Reckoning did such an amazing job of showing the struggles of war. We got to see all the main characters' doubts and personal struggles. It definitely played with my emotions. My heart was pounding one moment, and I was in tears the next.
I appreciated Varian, who was the light in the darkness. He knows how to make people laugh and feel better, which is so important for morale.
I know this is a why choose, but Lock will always have my heart. He's the strongest, most deadly out of them all. I feel like he holds the team together.
The Reckoning was the perfect conclusion, and the epilogue gave me all the feels. One of my all-time favorite epilogues!

3.5⭐️ this is the final (I believe) installment of this shattered isle series. I’ve been reading these as they’ve been released for the last couple of years & really enjoying them. Marvel inspired fantasy world + reverse harem. YES. The writing isn’t the greatest, the word “mate” was used WAY TOO MANY TIMES. But otherwise if you are wanting a fun time with some plot thrown in there as well, hit these up. Especially if you like marvel characters. Steel is my fave 🫶🏼

I absolutely loved this book. I ate up every spice scene and group activity Jade Presley was kind enough to give. This book included Cari and Gessi and all the men so it was heavier on the spice (not complaining 😏🫠🥵) which meant the plot moved quick.
There was definitely tension and conflict and the team finally faces off against General twat waffle.
Also I loved the epilogue 😍😍😍
I’ll take 100 books on this series. I’ll never get tired of reading about Cari, Gessi and all their marvel

I read this expecting it to be all about Gessi and her mates but it wasn't which is okay, but I wanted to see more development for Crane and Gessi and the angst set up in the previous book. There was a parallel plot involving Lock which was okay.
Then again, this was 30% plot, 70% smut. So if you are into that, go for it.

I really love this series so much and this one was like all my favorite things into one. I loved how we got POV’s from all the characters. The spice in this book was *chef’s kiss*. This series has become such a guilty pleasure of mine. I am so glad that I got to read this early because I had been patiently impatiently waiting for it. I feel like it had the perfect ending and was able to wrap everything up without leaving any character out. I am going to convince everyone I know to read this series because it’s perfect for marvel fans and spice readers.

I waited a very, very long time for this book and Jade Presley did not disappoint. She knew the audience she was writing for when she created the Shattered Isle series and I bow down to this queen 👑
I absolutely loved seeing all 10+ characters come together for the last installment and Presley did an amazing job switching between their POVs. I didn't want to put it down and was upset it took me as long as it did to finish.
If you love the men of Marvel and never want to choose just one, than you will absolutely want to read this series! This is book four in the series so hop on over to Her Villains which is book one. You won't regret it 🫶

This is the 4th book in the series! If you are a huge fan of Marvel’s then you will like this series! This series is WHY CHOOSE! In the first 2 books the MMC are based off Ironman, Thor, Loki and Captain America! And the 3rd book MMC are based off of Hawkeye, Bucky, Antman and Venom.
This book was the final act of the fight between the 2 families and the villain who is trying to take over their kingdoms. It keeps you on your toes through the whole book. And the SMUT?! Oh damn! I love it!!!! So SPICY!!!!

It was a good book. Exciting ending to the series.
But for me it was lacking Gessi, it was more all about Cari.
It's also a shame there wasn't an Gessi epiloge, really missed that.
Also book gets less and less pages throughout the serie 😔

I devoured the book. My emotiones where all over the place though, one minute wanting to throw the book against the wall and another not wanting to let go of it ever again.
When I tell you that I love Jade Presley and her Shattered Isle series, I mean it. I love her and I love the story she has brought to life. Cari and Gessi are such strong FMCs. Having both gone through their own share of trauma, having shared trauma as well.
It is time for them to finally face off their common enemy and get their kingdoms back. It picks up where the third book ends and concludes the story. We have multiple POVs again - which I love in books. And among all the chaos and battles we also get our fair share of sexy times with the guys... And you are in for a treat here ;). I think the ending also wrapped up everything pretty good and the epilogue - oh dear...
I am a total sucker for Lock and Blaize or should I say Loki and the Winter Soldier? IYKYK
If I could I would force everyone I know to read these books :)

The last book in the Shattered Isles series! I'm not saying I think these books are good; but for some reason I did read all 5 (tbf, they're not even 200 pages and one of them was a novella). I kinda forgot how the last book ended, but that doesn't really matter cause the plot isn't that spectacular so I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I feel like these books could be really good, cause she could do sooooo much more with the world building alone. And I mean.. Marvel inspired fantasy world + Marvel inspired characters and a reverse harem?? Good soup. Cari and Gessi need to overthrow the general. With the help of their mates (I don't ever wanna read this word ever again), they're giving everything they can to save their Isles. I am a total sucker for Lock and Blaize or should I say Loki and the Winter Soldier? IYKYK hehe. Anyway, if you wanna read super cringe marvel inspired smut with a little bit of plot; the Shattered Isles series might be for you. The epilogue was HELLA cute

The end
This series had a hold on me like no other. It was my favorite read of 2022, and when Jade announced the 4th and final book, I was sad. I loved these characters, worlds, and stories.
In this book, we have everyone, and we finally get the epic conclusion. My heart broke for Lock and all his trauma in this book.
Watching everyone with their mates, watching Gesi and her love for Cari as friends and sisters, and just the determination everyone had.
Finally, I love how the battle played out. There were many things that happened, and I didn't want to give away spoilers, but it was satisfying after 4 books to have that ending.
Overall, as sad as I am, this series is done. I'm so grateful that I got to experience it!

The spice with the plot, and unpredictable twists turns had my eyes glued on the screen.
I will never get enough of these characters and this world. When I was younger I wanted a wardrobe to transport me to Narnia now I want to find a portal to transport me to Shattered Isle.
Keep them coming and I'll keep devouring them .

A fantastic end to the series
This book has everything. I mean everything. Suspense, thrill, action, violence, sorrow, romance, spice and lots of smut. I swooned, cried my eyes out and had my heart shattered then put back in one piece. This why choose series is so good it will live in my mind for a long time yet. I absolutely adore Lock and Steel. If you like more than just your average romance storyline, love marvel comic characters, need some action but spice and smut this series will not disappoint you. I'm sad the series is over but can't wait to see what Jade Presley comes out with next

This was perfect and picked up exactly where the 3rd one left off. I liked that we got every single person POV and it wasn’t overwhelming. I will say this book wrapped up really nicely with no loose ends. I like that we got Gessi and Cari all in the same book. It was the perfect cross-over of combining them so flawlessly. Don’t get me started about the spice!!! Cause it was spicyyyy. This series was really enjoyable and I loved it all. Why wouldn't you want to read about hot Marvel men?

I loved this book so much! That epilogue had my heart melting from pure happiness and was the perfect end for these characters! This book focuses more on the romance/spice between Cari and her mates and Gessi and her mates than the plot/action scenes. I think there was more balance in the first 3 books but I didn’t mind it at all! Especially the spicy scenes🥵 Or maybe it just seemed that way since we’re getting POV’s from both groups. Either way I loved it and highly recommend this series!

I can't believe this is the end of the Shattered Isle Series and what a way to end it. Every second throughout this entire series has been captivating and alluring.
The Reckoning picks up right where The Assassins left off. General Payne has stolen the Shattered Isle throne and with the help of Gessi and her mates, Cari, Lock & Steel are bringing the rest of the Shattered Isler's that are not with Payne to safety. But when an unexpected toxin, poisons Lock he enters a coma state, and the race is on to save him. Cari feels utterly defeated in this moment because of all the mates she connects with Lock the most. Of course, she loves them all equally but there's just a different bond with him. And with the war looming around the corner what can they do?
If you love Marvel, why choose and smut then this is the perfect book for you. I loved how Jade included multiply POVs and we got all the sexy times between both sets of couples. And even though it was heart wrenching at times the smut made up for it. But that epilogue by far has made my day! I was beyond happy when I read it, like a little kid in a candy store.

I knew I was going to love this book, more so because I’ve read everything else in the series, and with this giving us the reckoning that was so deserved, it was just amazing.

Seriously Jade, you are a queen. These books always get me. The characters are so vivid for me & the spice is to die for. But the plot is also so great each time. This one is no different. I absolutely love these books and I will always recommend them to anyone who loves spice and especially anyone who loves marvel.

I am DEVASTATED that this series is over.
I can’t get enough of these characters and this storyline. This one kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s pretty fast-paced, and not super long, but it keeps you interested, and you just need to know what happens next.
And as always, the spice is absolute perfection.
I’m never going to watch a Marvel movie the same now.

A beautiful ending to the series
This was a great read for the final book in the series. It felt like it held a lot of weight to the story and like no one was safe from heartbreak.
It was well written and I loved seeing both Cari's sorry and Gessi's intersect and their mates eb and flow with each other. It was an easy read and I consumed it quickly!

Great Series.
This was a very good ending to a very good series. It was interesting, and sexy. I felt all the feelings while reading this and I’m glad I read it. Was it the most epic, world-building romantic fantasy? No, but it was a good time and made me want to read more from the author. I loved this, and I’m now a fan.

As an overall review for the series, I was able to fall in love with each character and the story and love love love
I usually don’t read books where to this extent call each other “mate”
And I have such a hard time not hearing like a stereotypical Australian “mate” in my head.

I loved the series up until this book. The book was 75 percent about cari and her mates instead of Gessi and hers. The story had potential, but it literally only focused on cari. I wanted more of gessi and her mates.

I will definitely miss these characters especially Lock. This was an amazing ending too a series that I couldn’t put down. Cari and her mates and Gessi and her mates finally have their showdown with the General and what a battle it was. Amazing story and the ending omg was absolutely perfect.
