Well, THAT was an abrupt ending!

The further adventures of adventurer/archeologist (actally historian) Rikard Braeth, with his new friends from the last book as they unravel a million-year-old mystery. But they run into the definitely evil, only in it for the money, villain WAY too many times for it to be a coincidence

Further adventures of Rikard, Adventurer and Alien Archaeologist. All in all, non-stop trek across dead worlds and strange creatures in pursuit of a mystery millions of years old. Unfortunately, this was the last book written in this series despite plot hints of other issues and discoveries to be illuminated.

I really liked it - the opposite of predictable. Lots of interesting new life forms and enigmas
