Reckless, the sequel to Finding Ava:
The decision seemed so innocent in the beginning, exciting even. How could I have ever known what was going to happen? How could I have ever know that someone could be so evil, so determined to destroy lives. I chose to ignore the advice of my brother and instead trusted - believed in friendship, believed in a woman I once loved. Now I am paying the consequences and living in hell and I have brought my family right along with me.

It all started when the rat entered our lives, and as should be expected - the snake followed.

This story dives deep into the making of the movie “Reckless”, and simultaneously takes you on a ride filled with sex, drama, disastrous sabotage, and battles of woman against woman and man against man. You will have to take a breath before you read this story because you won’t be able to take another until after it ends.

Wow, how much time changes things....

I just re-read this series because I found out the third book was available. My re-read convinced me to change my rating. Check out my status updates to see what I was feeling. Maybe I will add more thoughts later. Maybe not.

Same issues as the first book. There were story lines that had potential but were not fully developed. The story about Ethan and his "problem(s)" was thrown out there to I think make the story have another "aha" moment, but it was rushed. Rebecca was the biggest bitch ever! I'm not sure where Joel's jealousy all of a sudden came from, but I thought it could have been explained better because going from best friend to that level of hatred and jealousy needs some kind of an explanation other than "he's overly jealous."

I was pissed at Sean more than a few times throughout this book. For one, the way he allowed Rebecca and Joel to manipulate him over his WIFE, when they have done nothing but show him how deceitful and conniving they could be, is beyond maddening. I mean really? You seriously take their side? He should have suffered waaaaaaayyyyy more for that! Also, I didn't like the way Sean talked to Ava at times when she was not only emotionally fragile, but justifiably so. I almost want these books to be rewritten with the storylines better developed or completed because it could have really GONE there, but stopped short.

I haven't seen anything about this, but the end of this book cut off rather abruptly, leading to believe there would be a a Finding Ava #3, or some kind of a continuation with Dillon and Dani. I would read it to get some closure, but my hopes aren't overly high. Although I will say, these stories kept me reading from start to finish at a quick pace.

Rebecca is a cheat and schemer and ex girlfriend of Sean. She is married to Sean's friend Joel. Both Rebecca and Joel set out to ruin Sean and Ava. Hairy moments when no one believes Ava as Rebecca does he wickedest to get Sean back. Drugs, rape attempts......... Will Sean and Ava relationship survive? Loved this book but weird ending, seemed incomplete.

** SPOILERS **

Jennifer Loren did it again! Reckless is the sequel to Finding Ava. (If you haven't read it yet then I would advise you to read it before reading Reckless.) This one was so much better than the first one and that's saying something because the first one was amazing and easily a 5 star read for me. But this one definitely surpasses it.

Reckless pretty much picks up where we left off at the end of book 1. Sean and Ava are living in their dream home and raising their baby girl and trying for baby number 2. Everything is picture perfect... that is until Sean's ex Rebecca and her husband Joel(who is also his ex bestfriend) move into their pool house. From that point on everything slowly goes down hill.

I have NEVER wanted to kill and maim a character as bad as I wanted to to Rebecca. That bitch was evil, manipulative, and just plain psycho. She puts poor Ava through so much, tries to continuously seduce Sean(and half the time in front of Ava), almost kills their little girl, and tries to ruin their lives. She wants Sean, plain and simple. Joel wants to ruin Sean, plain and simple. They work together to get what they want, so they hit Sean where it would hurt the most... Ava.
And they put Sean and Ava through hell.

Okay, the only thing I had a problem with in this book is the ridiculousness of it all. In real life the shit that Rebecca and Joel did WOULD.NOT.FLY. I mean really, come on. Rebecca openly flirts and propositions Sean IN FRONT of Ava and they just brush it off. Seans excuse, "that's just her personality." Yeah fucking right. That bitch would've been out of my house quick style.(And any other sane female!) And her threatening, blackmailing, and hurting Ava constantly was just so unbelievable! Why did Ava put up with that shit?! I just didn't understand! And when she did say something to Sean.... he wouldn't believe her! I wanted to rip Seans fucking head off. He was so fucking blind and stupid. And when he didn't do ANYTHING about Rebecca recording him and Ava having sex and planning on selling it to tabloids?! Again... ARE.YOU.FUCKING.KIDDING.ME !!!

They drug Ava to make her seem crazy.
They blackmail her.
They make her look like an unstable mother.
They make it look like she is having an affair.
Joel also tries to rape her... twice.
They cause problems within their family.
They almost kill Sean.
And they intentionally make Ava have a miscarriage.
And again... Sean wouldn't believe a word Ava said through most of the damn book. At this point I wanted Ava to come back swinging and to leave Seans worthless ass. He stuck up for the ex that cheated on him with his bestfriend! He treated Ava like shit when she needed her husband the most. Gahh, I just can't even come close to describing my frustration and dislike for Sean at this point!

Now, the ending. Yes, that beautifully perfect climax and ending. Sean definitely redeems himself. Ava also grows a spine by the end. What Joel and Rebecca did was unforgivable and absolutely repulsive. What came to them wasn't a good enough revenge... but it was satisfying. It really took a lot of trust, forgiveness, understanding, and love to help Sean and Ava get back together, but get back together they did. By the ending I was so happy. Sean turned out to be the perfect husband to Ava. Yes, he made mistakes but he was faithful and loving through it all regardless what he didn't know to believe. At this point I don't know if there's going to be a book 3 but I sure hope so because I could definitely use some more Sean and Ava... they are just addicting. I am forever a fan of Jennifer Loren, she is simply amazing. If you haven't read this series, then you should, you won't be disappointed, promise!

Reckless Book #2 Finding Ava Series Jennifer Loren

OMG where do I start. I had no idea what to expect with this read. Finding Ava set the characters up for this book but not a lot of detail which was fine because these reads are truly about Sean and Ava.

Reckless is a story of the making of the movie of an old friend of Sean’s Uncle a daredevil who lived his life to its fullest. When Sean was approached to be the main character TC he was excited about it. He thought this would be a good opportunity to try and mend fences with his use to be best friend. Oh was he ever wrong.

From the first chapter of this read I was hooked. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put the book down. Sean’s good intentions with trying to mend fences and maybe re-establish his friendship with Joel was the biggest mistake of his life. His ex-Rebecca is brought to the forefront of this read along with her rat of a husband Joel. On top of the production of the film you have Rebecca the conniving bitch trying to get Sean back, and you have Joel trying to destroy Sean’s life.

The extremes Rebecca and Joel go to, to try and destroy Sean are totally unbelievable and disgusting. Rebecca is a self-centered egoistical bitch from the word go. She is manipulative, a liar and just plain evil. Joel is just as bad if not worse. The things the two of them did to make everyone think Ava was losing her mind were despicable. At one point I was so angry with Sean that he took a whore’s word over his own wife’s it just made me sick. I have never read a book where I absolutely unequivocally hated the characters as much as I hated Rebecca and Joel. Rebecca seemed to have something on everybody and used it to blackmail and manipulate until she got what she wanted. Joel on the other hand used potentially dangerous sabotage. From recreating a mask to look like Spencer to terrorize, assault and attempted rape of Ava, to the tampering of the stunt cars brakes in the movies final scene.

I went through every emotion reading this book. There were many twists and turns and ups and downs but in the end Love prevailed. Blood is thicker than water and Ethan, Randy and their mother Mary pulled it all together. I finally had a fist pumping moment with this read. As an author Jennifer Loren did exactly what she set out to do, give her readers an emotional, suspense packed drama that left you reeling literally. I have to give Reckless 5* just because it kept me on the edge the entire time. I can’t wait to see what happens in the long road. I’m so hoping Ava and Sean don’t need to endure anymore drama. We shall see.

Be prepared! Jennifer Loren pulls you down the rabbit hole within the first few pages...and the ride is wild and on-the-edge-of-your-seat bumpy the whole way!

Following the perfect wedding and honeymoon, Sean and Ava Grant have settled into a life of 'happily ever after'...then filming begins on the movie Reckless, in which Sean's the star.

Sean's ex-girlfriend, Rebecca, and former best-friend, Joel, are married, and Joel's father is the one financing the movie. Being down on their luck and out of daddy's good graces, Rebecca and Joel move into the Grant's guesthouse for the duration of filming. Both present a facade when around Sean, portraying themselves as almost-perfect guests. Ava, however, realizes their intentions are not what they seem...and when she tries to tell Sean, she realizes the couple has much more volatile intentions in mind.

Each having their own selfish reasons to do so, both Rebecca and Joel are willing to destroy Ava - mind or body, whatever it takes - to accomplish their goals.

Lives are put at risk, in more ways than one, and tempers flare to levels not previously seen in works by Ms. Loren.

While reading, I developed fierce protective instinct for Sean and Ava, and an intense hatred for Rebecca and Joel which bordered on rage! I was amazed the author managed to manifest such intense feelings for fictional characters. Well done, Ms. Loren, well done!

WOW, that was INTENSE!! This book really puts you thru the emotional ringer, what a journey. You will go thru your full emotional arsenal thoroughly, strongly & sometimes rapidly. You will smile, laugh, sigh, gasp, cringe, laugh, pant (drool), yell & cry. Ava is such a strong heroine but she gets put thru hell. Sean is as hott as before & romantic as hell at times, but he will break your heart at times too questioning his judgement & decisions. You will want to kill Rebecca & her crazy psychotic husband from hell. All the while hoping & praying that our favorite couple can pull thru all the crap thrown at them. Very hard to find a place to take a break from this book. Impossible to walk away from, though emotionally you will need a break. Very strong, extremely Awesome book. Fantastic job & big high-fives Ms. Loren. It's gonna take some time to come down from this, I'm still reeling.

Sean and Ava’s story continues in Reckless and man does a lot happen. Bad guys show their true nature, they hurt Ava, make Sean question her, and just so much that makes this a heart pounding conclusion to their story. They struck to their guns and really show that their love was strong. I don’t want to say too much but I really enjoyed reading this for the 3rd time. It’s one of those stories that never gets old. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Reckless

Once again I was moved to tears, frustrated to boiling point by the bad people and happy beyond comparison that Sean and Ava found their way back to each other. Loved the story, but a little nigly about the book ending on a cliffhanger. I'm not too fond of those, although I understand why authors do it.

After reading Finding Ava and loving it I had to see what would happen next so I used my lovely, brand new Kindle Fire HDX that my awesome hubby got me for Christmas and I found that Reckless was only 99 cents so of course I bought it! I was so excited that I started to read it right away and it actually only took me 3.5 days to finish. I am giving this book another 5 stars! The story grabs you from the start. This book picks right up where the first one left off, no skipping years or anything like that. An old friend of Sean’s, Joel, from his early acting career offers him a job to play in this movie which is based off “true events” that happened to Joel’s uncle during his stunt man career. Anyway Joel is married to Rebecca, Sean’s ex from the first book who come to find out still wants Sean and will do anything to get him back. There is a lot of jealousy, fighting and of course sex in this novel so nobody under the age 18 should read it! I had so many emotions while reading this book, anger especially at Sean for being the jealous man he is (hehe), also hatred toward Joel and Rebecca because they are so evil. Also, I felt heartbreak for Sean and Ava and of course happiness at the end. I am sure if you read this book you will be yelling at as much as I was lol. It kept me on my toes and I will definitely read it again! Go to amazon.com and buy this series and remember to always take time to write a short review on amazon.com or bn.com for all the books you read to get the author’s name out there, it seriously can only take you 5 minutes!!!! I cannot wait to start The Long Road which I recieved as an ARC from her and it will be coming out to the public on the 10th of this month!

ok wow joel and Rebecca are back in sean's life that is sooo not good esp after what they did to him. ava needs to get a clue when guys are after her for sex. I cant believe how sean dosent seen the evil that has come into his house esp after he finds the video on Rebecca's phone hello that should be a first clue and how she lies and treats his daughter. I cried for ava and sean when they lost the baby that was sooo sad. ok would love to see a book on randy I love him and esp more on the friendship between him and sean. would also love to see a book on kyle and how he found Michael and how Michael became part of his and ava's business. joel needs to get out of ava's life and leave her business alone what a scumbag and ass. I love Dillon cant wait to read long road home and see his story.

I enjoyed Reckless much more than the first book, Finding Ava. Reckless like Finding Ava had some parts that really made me giggle. Reckless gave you more drama and excitement. It also shows the love and powerfulness of family. It shows how marriage, trust and fidelity are key components to this story. It's a good read. I'm hoping that the story continues with some of the characters brought into this book.

Such an intense sequel!!! Although frustrating at times, where I found myself yelling at my kindle... WHY?!?!... Another part of me seething at the evilness of Rebecca and Joel... I loved the book and enjoyed reading it... At times there was pure hatred with the emotions brought on by how cruel Rebecca can be. And even when she has nothing left but to rot she's is still the ice queen. And I loved how Randy got a puppy!! Humorous tie in from the first book. Can wait for more!

4-4.5 . this book had so much drama going on at one time . it was insane - this book dragged every emotion i had in me, couldn't even put the book down without screaming at Sean being so stupid.
in all the books i read i never seen two people so insanely evil, i read plenty of books with all sorts of villains but these two just seems to top it. The emotional pain they caused on Ava... makes me want to punch Sean for not seeing it.

I liked the style of this one a lot more than the first one. It was almost as over-sexed as the first one was oddly-sexed, which is the only thing I didn't really love about it. Odd for me, but there you have it. I loved Ava's grandpa! He should totally be in the book more. :) The evil people were a bit over-the-top, but I guess that's why we call it fiction. Overall, a really good time.

Same timeline issues that I felt with Finding Ava . . . but I did enjoy this twisted as heck story! I can't believe how long they let Rebecca be in their lives!

BUT - what an ending!!! Not really a cliffhanger but what? A set up for a spin off??? Idk . .
