FACTITIOUS
The nation elects a very charismatic president, after a campaign resembling a religious revival, with audiences actually fainting at his flowery rhetoric and utopian promises.
Once in office, he insidiously usurps the powers of the legislature, allowing him to unilaterally enact policies which threaten to destroy the economy.
Unknown to the populace, his agenda had been patiently pre-planned decades ago, and is part of a foreign conspiracy bent on totally destroying America.
A group of close knit retired U.S. military officers collectively discover the conspiracy, and pool their resources to try to expose the president’s treason.
A series of direct challenges against the president are met by vehement administration vendettas. As the advantage shifts back and forth, the president appears about to be exposed. He counters with a devious retaliatory scheme to imprison the ringleader and assure the second term he needs to finalize America’s downfall.
The officers band together in an attempt to free their comrade, bring down the president before the upcoming election, and blunt the international plot.
The story takes many turns along the way and dares the reader to put the book down until its unanticipated conclusion!

This book is in the final stages of publication, with an estimated release date of mid to end September 2012.
This is obviously a biased review, but I thought it might be interesting to outline my goals in writing this book.
Firstly... ENTERTAINMENT. I think this is a good story.
Secondly... FAST MOVING and EASY READ.The many twists and turns in the plot make it (as commented on by my proof readers and others who have seen the pre-publication version)a "page turner".
Surprisingly and unintended... The afore mentioned readers all commented that the book caused them to reflect further on their decisions in the upcoming 2012 elections.Though the book is pure fiction, it is not difficult to relate the characters to some current political personalities. Similarly, it is easy to make some comparisons to the current political situation in the U.S.
The plot is, admittedly, "pretty far-out"; however it is eerily possible to envision something of the sort actually taking place.

October 4, 2012This is one of the finest books I have read in a long time. Great story, great plot, the book moves along very fast. I could not put it down! A must read for anyone who enjoys political intrigue. Great cast of characters whom you fall in love with. The hero especially.
