Married for four years, Jake and Emma Tyler live a happy, comfortable life in a suburb of Atlanta. Though they're still crazy in love with each other, Jake's job as an airline pilot keeps him away from home - and away from Emma - more than either of them like. Jake's always looking for ways to keep their sex life hopping, and his latest strategy involves random sexual fantasies written on slips of paper, pulled blindly from a bowl each time he returns home from a flight. When Jake returns home from a two-day absence, he and Emma, the lucky recipient of his efforts, draw two erotic fantasies from the bowl and heat things up out back beside the pool!
Dara Ames is a wife, mother, and avid reader who reads widely across several genres, including romance, mystery, true crime, and sensual erotica. A small-town, southern girl, she has a soft spot for sweet tea, dark chocolate, and warm summer evenings with her husband.
Dara's niche is romantic erotic encounters between husbands and wives. Her goal is to offer readers the same exciting, sensual stories of traditional erotica, with the added twist of characters who are married. For those readers who enjoy the softer side of erotica, in Dara's writing you will find no multiple partners or sex between unmarried characters. What you will find is the same pulse-pounding sensuality that drew you to the erotic genre in the first place.
Because after all... "I do" is only the beginning of great sex!
This was my first read by Dara Ames. When I stumbled across her and her Married Ladies' Erotica, I was intrigued. I loved the idea, being a wife myself. Who says housewives have to be boring or that sex between married people has to be stale.
Jake and Emma definitely prove that in this book. It's a short little quickie but it packs a punch. Sensual, emotional and fun. If I had to wish for one thing, it would be that the sexual fantasies chosen from Jake and Emma's bowls had been a bit saucier. I was expecting something a bit more risque, but even so, what I did get was hot, hot, hot! And who knows? There are two more books in the Sexy Sides series for me to read....it just might get hotter.
I really enjoyed this and it's probably one of the best erotic shorts I've read in a long time. There was no corny language, no sex thrown in just for filler and no over exaggeration of the males....er, um...male parts. All in all, a quick little bite that I read in two sittings and one that completely satisfied!
I bought Curb Side first and really enjoyed it so I had to purchase the other two stories in the series. Jake and Emma's love for one another really adds something to these stories. They aren't just sex for sex's sake. They're an expression of their love for one another so that makes the love scenes even hotter for me. Very well written story and well worth the read. Well done. I've been looking forward to reading Dara's 3 and Poolside was a fabulous way to start. So often books cover the journey of falling in love, but what happens after? Dara gives us a hot taste of how good it can be. It's a quick smoking read and I'm diving right into the next, Curbside here I come.
