I liked this, I want to say that first.
But unless I have a drastic misunderstanding of british paparazzi, I can't really envision a local baron's son and heir, being the subject of them on a regular basis? I don't know. That one element kept tugging me away from what was otherwise a really lovely story about a wary single mom and an adventure attic with a fear of settling down, figuring out a way to make a relationship work.
P.S. it turns out that miraculous pregnancies when the infertility is from the other side isn't really any better. I get why they had to have a kid, and the both wanted to try, so there are props for that, but man.

An engaging read with really nice characters who come together and achieve a satisfying happy ever after.

George Somers is an adrenaline junkie who is bed bound after an accident. Helping him back to his feet, physiotherapist Serena James deflects all his attempt at flirting with her.
Though Serena feels attracted to George, she has secrets and she doesn't want to start anything which won't end satisfactorily. But will George back down when he discovers her secret?
And would Serena get her happily ever after with a man who's a renowned playboy?
ONCE A PLAYBOY is a medical romance liberally spiced with humor, pathos and heartfelt emotion. Kate Hardy does a great job showing how people lie to themselves to save their feelings and soothe their egos. Both George and Serena have plenty of baggage with their names on it. It is only in opening those suitcases and examining each item inside can these two people find their happily ever after. The sensuality and chemistry between Serena and George is scorching hot.
This romance is highly recommended for all medical romance readers and lovers.
