The ghost of a young girl haunts an old mansion where her father still lives, and a new girl in town tries to help reunite the two so that the girl can rest in peace.
I remembered reading many of the books in this series, Twilight: Where Darkness Begins, when I was in Jr. High and how much I enjoyed them. I know I read some of these books more than once because of the shape I remember them being in. Plus, my friends and I used to borrow each others copies so they got pretty trashed. Just recently I have been thinking about how much I enjoyed these books and would like to collect some of them so my kids could read them (and me too again!) I got lucky and found this particular book at a used bookstore for only $1.00. I had fun reading it and enjoyed it just as much and I did back then. The storyline was familiar even though my memory is fuzzy after all these years. What a treat to own this book and I hope I can find more of them at a low price.
I have not read this in years, but I was very fond of the Twilight teen horror imprint in childhood and this was absolutely one of the best Twilight books -- a sympathetic heroine, a vindictive ghost from WW2, lots of very creepy atmospheric detail. I still own my battered copy and perhaps one of these days I will reread it and review it more thoroughly.
