What a beautiful little book. I believe I picked up this book while pregnant with my baby. The ten ethical qualities are: respect, honesty, fairness, responsibility, compassion, gratitude, friendship, peace, maturity, and faith. This book was written in 1995, thus some of the references are out of date, but the values remain the same. There were some religious beliefs in the book, but I believe if you just think about these ten ideals and apply them to your daily life and the 2025 timeline, they will remain the same.
A good read with plenty of helpful info but it often reads like an amalgam of a bunch of other parenting and self-help books, sometimes a little too vague to be especially memorable or helpful. But it is still a pleasant reading experience and offers a lot of positive concepts and thoughts on how to be a parent for kids of all ages.
This is one of the best books I read. Great advice for raising children. I suppose I tried to instill these rules into my children without the book, but to read this information from one source with my grandmother eyes, excites me. I look forward to watching my grandchildren grow with the love and commitment of their parents and all others who love them.
