Rauliax Moonsilver is an engineer, mathematician, professor, and lover of good food. He's also rather adventurous, a rare quality for a dragon, and actually likes to travel beyond the dragon realm of Noriath.

This, of course, leads to trouble when he decides to perform a scientific experiment in the forests of Windsgate. A strange human boy runs into him and rescues him from his predicament, and from then on they become best of friends.

Unfortunately, they become entangled in a war between the two great kingdoms of Valeria, Wesar and Elemar, and must fight to prevent the utter destruction of their homes.
And beyond the chaos of war, something older and more sinister seems to be festering in the heart of Elemar.

Dragons, massive airships, mages, elves, and fancy tea meld together to form this lighthearted tale of strife, wizardry, and all sorts of aeronautical nonsense!

Christopher Hwang is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Irvine, and works part time as a bus driver for the university. He was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles.

He didn't truly love to read until he found J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. After reading the series, he went on to read The Hobbit and The Silmarillion, becoming a trivia master of Middle-Earth, and loved reading thereafter.

It wasn't until his first fiction writing class at UCI did he start loving to write too. Ideas always flew through his head, but he never found himself capable of putting thought to paper until taking that first introductory class.

In his spare time, Chris likes to read or play video games like normal college students. He's also a licensed pilot, so watch out for flying toilet paper!

Before I begin, I would like to commend the author for his brilliant ideas he applied in this book. Very different from contemporary fantasy.
However, the reason I gave it 2 stars is because I can see that the author had trouble writing what he was trying to convey.
Christopher created two dimensional characters with little back story and half realized emotions. And a plot that left little description because the story was rushed.
I really was looking forward to reading such an interesting story, the synapse sounded very fun, but I was left disappointed with execution of the book. Not much more to say but that I thought this story could have had more potential. That is not to say I didn't enjoy it but like I said it was only half done. If the author writes another, which I encourage so that his writing gets good enough compliment his ideas, I will read it. A 3/10!
