The second edition examines in detail three of the most basic members of the field device family to introduce the reader to relevant terms, concepts, models, and analytical procedures.
This is volume 4 in the Modular Series on Solid State Devices. I really like the way these books are written, they explain device physics in a very concrete way. I had a prof that used to take excerpts from these books for class and thought (mistakenly) that they were out of print. Im currently previewing a few of them from the library to see if I want to make the investment to buy. They are a bit older (this particular one was published in 1990) but they cover very fundamental EE issues that are relevant today.
