Blood Spirit is book three of the ongoing story of the Sons of Navarus and the war against the dreaded and evil Archons.

The Hero of this story is Terek, which we met in a previous book.

As the story opens, Terek in hiding in the shadows away from the fading sun watching people parading into a church and remembers a life lost many centuries ago. He is so tempted to follow them into the Church until reminded by his friend that it is no longer a place where vampires can enter. He is also reminded, that they must return to Vasilije's to rejoin the rest of the 'Sons'.

Before leaving, Terek takes a quick tour of town to ensure there are no Archons about that may cause harm to his loved ones during his absence. He has only gone a short way when he hears a woman screaming in distress and finds her lying deathly still on the ground and a man bent over her. Terek attacks man then turns to hear the woman's plea to help her. Terek is able to find out that her name is Ilona before she falls unconscious. He fears that the only way to save her life may be to turn her into one of his kind.

There is so much depth in this absolutely wonderful story that Gabrielle Bisset has given us that her characters come alive for me. The story is so realistic that I actually feel as if I am one of the characters in the book. It takes a fabulous author to bring me to tears the way Gabrielle did in this wonderful book. I was actually sobbing with tears running down my face. There is also some great humour and 'very hot, steamy love scenes.

Will Terek be able to save Ilona's life? Will he have to turn her to do so? Will the Sons of Navarus conquer and succeed in the ongoing battle against the Archons? Well you will have to pick up your own copy of this terrific book and find out for yourself.

I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone that loves hot, hunky vampires!

This is a definite 5 Star rating!!! Can't wait for the next issue.

So we've all come to expect great writing and alluring characters from Gabrielle Bisette, thankfully Blood Spirit was no exception. It's a highly enjoyable paranormal romance with enough drama and action to keep it from being an all-out love fest.

After centuries of relying heavily on his gift of mind reading Terek is forced to remember how to communicate. Without opening himself emotionally he risks losing true love for the second time in long existence.

Ilona is not very happy about her transformation. With a sire that's used to being adored with no effort Ilona feels pulled in two directions; Embrace her new vampmiric status and her sire, or whither away by being bitter over losing her humanity.

In the meantime, the fight between the Brothers and Archons is still raging. The Archons have a new tactic of sending their assassins after the offspring of the Brothers. Countless innocents are dying and the Brothers are feeling helpless. Their only chance is to decipher the ancient prophecy to assure the Archons never take over.

The relationship between Ilona and Terek was great. There was a bit of push and pull, but not enough to be frustrating. I was a tad weary of Terek's character in the beginning. His wild ride from berieved husband, to monk, to keeper of a harmem seemed a little far fetched, but once I came to understand his rationale he became a much more likeable hero.

It seems to me that this installment of the Brother of Navarus was more highly emotionally charged than previous entries and it made for great reading. Terek's flashbacks were a joy to read.

Recommended for PNR lovers everywhere :)

Book Review also posted on Book Lovin' Mamas

I'm beginning to wonder if Gabrielle Bisset loves to make people cry...because this book definitely was a tear jerker. Oh boy...was the water works happening when I was reading this book.
Terek, is one of the Sons of Navarus, and he is one vampire who definitely takes his siring very seriously. He has sired over thousands of new vampires. Some of the vampires live under one of his households that he frequently visits. One night, he comes across another vampire biting a human and then he witnesses the vampire being staked by a hunter. The girl who was bitten is left for dead and it is up to Terek to save her, so he takes her back and sires her instead. She is not a typical woman though.
Ilona, was just leaving from a party when she ends up getting herself into a dilemma. Now, she's a vampire and is forced to feed from Terek. She does not want to cooperate at all. She's not taking to the whole entire vampire thing all too well. She just wants to die.
Terek of course, has never given up on any of his vampires he has sired and he will not give up on her. He has his other female vampires who are helping him with her while he helps out with the other Sons of Navarus.
The Archon, who are hunting the Sons of Navarus are now going after vampires they think are the Sons of Navarus and they also are attacking the vampires the brothers have sired. It's up to the Sons of Navarus to find out what the prophecy really means for the Order (no spoiler...sorry...not giving away anything...If you want to find out more, you need to read this book).

Let me just say this, between Vasilije and what he had to ordeal in this book (the first Son of Navarus in "Blood Avenged") and Terek and what he had to go through with his vampires. I had a hard time not crying. I felt my heart hurt for both Vasilije and Terek.
And don't get me started what Vasilije put Sasa through. Grrrrr!!!
Can I just say...I love Thane in this book and how he stepped up to do what he did. He had every right to help out a friend in need.
My favorite parts in the book were when I learned more about the background of Terek. Seriously, he is not a vampire to mess with. That man can kill you in an instant. Do not mess with his family! He has gone through so much, I do not know how he handled it so well. He did finally have Ilona to help him through some of it. She is definitely perfect for him.
Ilona was a little difficult at first, until she finally gave in to Terek. (Ummm...who can resist him though?...I wouldn't be able to)

Gabrielle does an amazing job on putting a reader through so many emotions at once. She definitely is one amazing writer and she definitely has a fan for life. I look forward to reading the rest of the Sons Navarus books.
I'm telling you now, if you haven't read these books, you really need to.
If you're a fan of paranormal erotic romance, and love vampires, you will love these books.
Do not forget the tissues though because you will be crying especially in this book.
I give Terek's book 5 moons...and he definitely gets a little piece of my heart, but Saint has my full heart still...until maybe Thane or Dante's book. (Those two...I need to know more about) =)

The emotions of Terek and Ilona is heart stopping and a path of learning for both characters. The twists and turns and return of good and evil in third book of Sons of Navarus left me craving more. Gabrielle use of words and colors and mythology in plot is absolutely amazing I felt like I was actual there and felt the emotions of the characters from lust, love heartbreak, lost and guilt. Characters are very strong individuals. This is a very steamy read. I am telling everyone I know it's a must read along with first two books in series. I look forward to the next book in series. Excellent job Gabrielle I really am excited to continue with the series. I love all the characters that have been introduced so far.

Blood Spirit is the third book in Gabrielle Bisset's Son's of Navarus series. This paranormal erotic romance series follows the eight Sons of Navarus as they they battle the Archons in the civil war that is tearing their world apart. Blood Spirit is Terek's story.

I have a few things to say about this book but I'll try to streamline it for you.

Terek: Terek is the most spiritual and prolific Son. He has sired thousands of vamps, mostly women. He even keeps these women around him. Though people think of the women as Terek's harem, Terek thinks of them as his family and only wants to protect them. OK - so I get this but it's a load of bull IMHO. I believe that Terek uses his women. Not because of the sex as the term "harem" implies but in other ways that become apparent as you read the story. Terek even comes to some realizations about this very thing in the book. After reading Blood Spirit I can say that I neither like nor dislike Terek. I am really happy that he can't read Ilona's thoughts though. You shouldn't get to cheat in your relationship LOL!

Ilona: Ilona is a lovely woman. I thought that it was fantastic that she defied Terek. Even though it was harmful to her, her determination was admirable.

Secondary Characters: This book held a wealth of secondary characters. Besides the rest of the Sons we get Terek's women. Though not all of them are named, their courage, strength and solidarity was unbelievable. Now those are some women that I'd love to have my back.

Villains: Gabrielle Bisset has a way with villains. She creates some top-notch bad guys with what appears as ease. Truly they are unparalleled. Even her good guys come with a side of bad *cough* Vasilije *cough* LOL. In Blood Spirit I found three different antagonists. They form a hierarchy. The Archons in general are the villains as far as the series story arc goes. Underneath the Archon umbrella we find Marc Verrater. We first met this screwed up Archon in Blood Betrayed. He's a sadistic little puppet-master. The view we get of him in Blood Spirit, though somewhat uneventful, made me queasy. I hate that he's climbing in power (even if it's to be an expected story development)! The man is trouble. I cringe when I think of what he'll do next.

The "muscle" and the main villain in Blood Spirit is a hunter for the Archon's named Knull. He gets his orders from Verrater. He is truly evil. I honestly thought of him as a grunt doing his job until I saw him in action. He totally stole the show if you ask me.

Mythology: In Blood Spirit the war between the Archons and the Sons continues and the Sons figure out more of the Prophesy of Idolas. Though I enjoyed learning more of the mythology behind this series it really wasn't my thing. I'm more interested in the relationship that seems to be brewing between Sion and Kali. I hope we'll see more of it in the future.

Plot Surprise: One surprise in this book that I particularly enjoyed involved that hedonistic vamp we all love, Vasilije. The little side-story with him and Sasa was expected yet not. Does that make sense? I mean, I knew that an issue would come up between them eventually. I just didn't expect the way it came about. Gabrielle really stuck to Vasilije's MINE issues with what happened. I can't wait to see how they figure things out. I know that Gabrielle is planning on writing a freebie that will be available trough her site about the two of them.

The Settings: The settings in Blood Spirit were FANTASTIC!!! Gabrielle Bisset painted some awesome scenes with her vivid descriptions. I've added Morocco to the places I want to visit list just because of her!

Sexual Content: As is usual with Gabrielle Bisset's work, Blood Spirit is full of multiple steamy scenes.

With it's great characters, vivid descriptions, engaging plot and steamy sex scenes Blood Spirit is a great addition to the Sons of Navarus series. Believe me, you're going to want to hop aboard the Terek train and take him Blood Spirit for a ride!

*For the best reading experience I suggest reading this series in order

Gabrielle has kept the series very strong going and full of surprises from our Sons of Navarus. Once again we learn even more about the Sons, with book 3 we now have an even clearer picture of their purpose and the why of their numbers. A definite great addition to any fans of paranormal romance to add on to their TBR piles and read ASAP :)

Oh Terek (sigh), such a dreamy vampire that would make any woman down on her knees just to give him the pleasure he deserves. He holds up a very strong front, but has suffered great loss in his past. It still affects him to this day, but he continues to bring happiness to others and save those in need that he can assist. He loves, but not in the way one with a heart of his caliber should. Feeling something new within him, a happiness he’s not remembered ever experiencing during his life as a vampire, he wonders what the mystery is behind the female beauty named Ilona.

Ilona is in one of those situations of being in “the wrong place at the wrong time” or the reverse, all depending how you look at it. She has a good human life, she has a job, she lives with family she loves and they love her back. Viciously attacked by a vampire while on her way home from a party, she must now face a new life; one without her family and in a strange new situation that she is having a very hard time accepting. She knows nothing of how to be other than what and who she is. The only thing she is sure of at this point is the pull, the strong attraction she has to Terek.

I feel each and every book of the series can be read as a stand-alone without the reader being lost or confused. But I truly recommend reading the series in full and in order so you can get the full effect of what the author has created for us all to enjoy.

Sensual Vampire Extraordinaire

Blood Spirit is the 3rd book in the exciting sensual Sons of Navarus series by Gabrielle Bisset

Terek is a former monk. His gift is telepathy. Although he has been adored through the centuries by his female vampires. Terek still yearns for an elusive love

IIona a courageous, stubborn, alluring Spanish beauty

The enemy is the dreaded Archons and their vile villainous leader. Myth and adventure, eternal love combine to make this a beautiful sensual, delightful story

I gasped out loud. I cried my eyes out, more than once and held my breathe at the action packed scenes.

Terek is a hero, who is so utterly romantic, yet so fiercely honourable and loyal to helping the sons. Who are both witty, amusing and dedicated to finding the prophecy

IIona is an appealing and gutsy heroine, without being coy or mushy

With breath taking locations Gabrielle Bisset took me on a journey of sensual delight with a magnificent seductive god of a vampire as a hero. My heart will never be the same, it leaves you yearning for more

This is a must for all us true romantics, who like our vampires with sensuality

Blood Spirit is an amazing story. This story is about Terek and Ilona, as well as a continuation of The Sons of Navarus. Quite a few series can leave you questioning how they move forward, because they focus only on the "couple" and not a continuation of what's going on. Blood Spirit doesn't do that, the developing feelings between Terek and Ilona is so real, it's breathtaking. But the entire time that they are falling in love, there is great continuation of The Sons of Navarus world.

Terek is a strong, sexy vampire and protector of his vampires. His story is quite heart wrenching and made me tear up a few times.

Ilona is rescued by Terek and that's where their story starts together. She's quite willful, smart and Terek definitely has his hands full.

I have to say that so far this is my favorite one. I'm definitely recommending this book and series,to anyone who loves to read about extremely hot vampires and loves a bit of action in their story. I'm definitely going to be following this series until the end.

This is one series that just gets better with every book.
Gabrielle Bisset’s love for her Vampires shines through in her writing as she introduces her readers to these powerful, mysterious and sensual Vampires trying to defend their race against genocide.
In Terek’s story we come face to face with a male who not only knows, but can provide what every woman desires due to his very special gift. But as is the case with most self-proclaimed bachelors, Terek is about to meet his match.
You will be tempted to dislike Terek for his whoring ways and blasé attitude towards commitment of any kind. But no matter how hard you try, there is no escape from this charismatic Casanova of the Vampire world, who longs to have what he believes will never be his……his one true love.
Hold on to your romantic heart, as it is destined to collide with Terek’s passionate soul and take you on a journey of no return.

What a sensual book/couple

I completely enjoyed and loved this book. It was sexy, erotic and exciting. Terek, who knew that man was so exotic. Totally surprised me, first he was sweetheart and then (BAM!) a vicious warrior. Such a striking, exotic being. Ilona matched him in every way. At the ending, discovering what the prophecy going to meant (Hello! EXCITING) and SION and Kari, was it??? I hope they are seeing each other. Looking forward to next Sons of Navarus! Keep'em coming, Gabrielle.

Blood Spirit is one of those books I couldn't put down. Gabrielle Bissett has written a hero and heroine that are both real and vulnerable.
Terek is a vampire that has sired many women. Since he has the gift of telepathy, he knows what they all are feeling. But when he meets Ilona his heart awakens to want much more. Ilona is a heroine that knows what she wants. Terek has to decide whether he can give it to her.
Their love scenes are tender and sensual. One can feel the deep emotion by how Gabrielle writes. Each book Ms Bissett writes gets better and better! I highly recommend this book, 5 stars , must read

This book was hands down my favorite book in the series so far. Considering my love of Vasilije I didn't even think that this was possible. ;)

From the first sentence I was completely enthralled and found it impossible to put down. I loved getting to know Terek and absolutely fell in love with him. I adore this series and can't wait for the next one.

Thanks so much Gabrielle for another AMAZING book. <3

Sons of Navarus #3 Blood Spirit

I loved this book. Terek to me is more lover then fighter until you mess with what he loves then you better watch out because he will be out for revenge and he won't be stopped until he gets it. This book will make you laugh and cry and the descriptions of the places they visit makes you feel like you are the one standing there.

This book has it all and I would recommend it to anyone. Can't wait to see what Gabrielle has in store for the next book.

I just have to say this is an awesome series! Blood Spirit is no exception. Love the main character, Terek! I think he may be my favorite of the series so far. Can't wait for book #4 to come out! I love the ancient history the author has interwoven into the series. Mythology is one of my favorites. I've loved mythology since I was old enough to hear about it!

I admit I jumped into this book without reading the first two books. My bad. But I'm DNF-ing for now because I already don't like the beginning as I learn about sires and the relationships they have with their turned vampires. Tarek (who was a monk in his human life) basically keeps a harem of turned female vampires as his concubines, and has sex with Jasmine and keeps Sylvie, who is in love with him, as the newer model of Jasmine.

I just don't really enjoy reading about H's who are manwhores. Even when the sex is written "lovingly". Somehow I'm supposed to believe that he loves(d) them all...? Meh. I can't imagine I'll buy the authenticity of his love for Ilona, the heroine, or that it will be any more lasting than his love for all his other turned vampire lovers.

Can't love them all.

This was good just not as good as the first two books and novella. I couldn't connect with Ilona's character and Terek just seemed confused and flippant about what he wanted. The overall storyline really didn't advance. I'm hoping the next novella gets the story back on track because in was really enjoying it up until this book.

This was the third book (or fourth if you count the prequel) in the Sons of Navarus series. It is a series that builds on things from the last book so it must be read in order.

The Son in this story, Terek, had me fascinated in the other stories by the little bits I learned about him. I was intrigued to find out how Ms. Bisset would handle his romance since the rumor from the other books was that he had a harem. And yes, some of the barriers I imagined as a result of that particular arrangement did play a part in the plot.

Terek is an older vampire who is more than 700 years old. He is 'gifted' with the ability to read everyone's minds (personally, I've always found that a dubious gift). He has sired over a thousand vampires and many of them are women whom he expects to come to him when he returns to his home and care for his needs as he does theirs. Terek has always thought of himself a truly good sire who looks on all his vampire progeny as family and does his best to make them happy.

Now that the war with the Archons is well begun, the Sons learn that the Archons have begun targeting not only the Sons, but any vampires they have sired as well. Vasilijie is the first to experience this. He feels the deaths of his vampires and hares off with Saint in pursuit to save them. Terek has an experience close to home that teaches him that the hunters sent out by the Archon is really happening. He watches a hunter stake a vampire who was in the process of turning a human. The hunter disappears and Terek makes a quick decision to help the human woman who asks for his aid. She will die unless he turns her so he does.

Ilona wakes into the new world that she was unaware of, but is now forever a part of- the world of vampires. She is scared and disgusted at the same time. Her new sire, Terek, tries to help her adjust, but she wants nothing to do with him while at the same time she is also attracted. On the flip side, Terek is frustrated and worried because his newest child wants nothing to do with him and for the first time ever he can't read her thoughts to find out how to change things. This novel experience forces him to become introspective and take advice from the least likely of sources. It has become of utmost importance to him that Ilona accept him even as he's still working out why.

Slowly, Ilona adjusts to her new life and makes friends with the other women living in Terek's home. But as she works through things in her mind, there is one matter she will not accept. She may be attracted to Terek, but there is no way that she will just become one of his women even if it means denying herself her sire's blood. Will Terek change the habit of a lifetime that protects him from the possibility of heartbreak for the sake of Ilona? And that's the big question.

I enjoy how each book in this series has a slightly different feel to the plot based on the character of the hero. This one is still tight and exciting just like the last one, but where the last story was stormy and tempestuous because of Saint this one is slightly more gentle and introspective like Terek- well until something horrendous took place and Terek because the fierce, lethal warrior he had once been. Terek was so many faceted.

Sometimes when I get a hold of a paranormal romance series, the original plot thread gets buried or stagnates under the romance in each succeeding book. I like how these don't. There is always the cut away to scenes with the villains and even with the other Sons that shows the progress and plotting that is taking place around the romance. This leads me to my thoughts on the romance.

At first, the romance felt a bit awkward and forced to me. Jasmine told Terek that Ilona was different from all the other women he had sired- that she was THE one- so to Terek, she must be. I was willing to be patient because even though he bought into this thinking enough to be physically attracted to Ilona and worried about her, he had not gotten to the point where he was planning to change his ways.
I enjoyed how Ilona responded (or should I say reacted) to Terek's assumptions that she would depend on him and accept all that he had to offer. Ilona put him through his paces and made him question what he knew about almost everything. He started to really think about his own motives all those years and he had his epiphany that allowed him to finally open up and chance his heart again. Ilona was a tough gal who didn't just accept things which made it hard on everyone in the beginning, but she is also sensible so eventually she works through things gradually. I found her transition from human to vampire very believable. I also found her desire to be loved and respected as an individual admirable. And may I say that it almost goes without saying that the passion is agua caliente hot between these two when they finally start to sort things out.

This was a good strong installment to the series and again, I'm eager to find out which Son will get his story next. Give this series a try if you enjoy passionate vampire heroes and sassy heroines with a mysterious prophecy and a vampire civil war thrown in to make things interesting.

See my original post & other reviews at Bitten By Books: http://bittenbybooks.com/64364/blood-...

In the war with the Archons, no one is safe, and with that war practically knocking on his door, Terek finds himself the sire of a reluctant vampire. Brutally attacked only to see her would-be maker staked, Illona asks Terek for help—but the only way he can help is by turning her. Terrified by her new life and suffering from the loss of all she once knew, Illona is determined to deny the feelings Terek inspires in her. Terek knows there is something different about Ilona but cannot read her mind and is more than a bit afraid of having to open himself to her. The war with the Archons is also heating up, so Terek has to manage his obligation to the Sons at the same time as fostering a positive relationship with Illona. Illona can heal Terek of wounds from the past, but they both have to let the walls down to truly see one another. One choice may haunt them both, and the Archons are always willing to capitalize on a mistake.

I will be perfectly honest and say I am not quite sure why I still want to continue with this series. I love the overall plot—the battle between the Sons and Archons is incredibly interesting, as are the hints we get about the prophecy. The bad guys are great. The brotherhood of the Sons is complicated and fun to read. There is a decent amount of sex in Blood Spirit, but I think it is more tempered than in the previous novels. The biggest issue I have is that I just cannot find it in myself to really care about the love story, which is particularly highlighted in Blood Spirit.

Terek was the one Son I was really looking forward to. The idea of a vampire harem is awesome, but when Illona comes into the house, all the fun dies. I understand why she acted the way she did initially; the problem is, I just did not care. There was nothing about her that made me mourn her mortal life with her, so every time that was on the page, I was bored and I resented that I was not seeing what else was happening. Then, there is this incredible 180 in her attitude that was not developed in the slightest. Thus far, she in my least favorite heroine. I would much rather hear more about Jasmine, one of Terek’s oldest vampires. I am so frustrated that there are all of these side characters that I truly like but I cannot warm up to the star of the show. That feeling made this a very challenging read for me personally.

I do think Terek’s backstory is by far the most developed. We get glimpses of his human past and his earlier life as a vampire. I really like Terek; his ability is interesting but the way he handles being able to read minds is admirable. I just wish the heroine lived up to the hero.

There is movement in the big themes and the time spent on actually confronting the Archons is excellent. We do spend some time with the other Sons, and there are seeds of what is to come peppered throughout Blood Spirit that make me hopeful for future installments.

This is the best of the three. That may be because Terek is the most reasonable and understandable hero. He is a sympathetic character. He is a good man and a good sire. He is misunderstood because of the way he chooses, makes and keeps his vampires. He only turns females and he has them housed together in his places all over the world. Other vampires call them Terek's harems but he does not see them that way. He has a near partnership with his first few turned, but while he loves them all, he gives his heart to none. He loved completely in his human past and it nearly killed him. He is not ready to commit to one woman because that would make him weak and easy to attack. His 'harem' talk constantly about 'the one' who will come along and change all that. They recognize this in Ilona way before he can see that she is perfect for him. Ilona resists him at every turn. She is not happy with her conversion. She never asked for it, but was turned as an alternative to dying. Though Terek is a telepath, Ilona is completely blank. He cannot read her and so she must overcome her own hangups before he can give her what she needs to come to terms with her new life. What she wants is Terek - 100% of him. She cannot share. Their romance is realistic and their chemistry is genuine.
Ilona has difficulty reconciling the man man he is with her, so sweet and patient, and the killer he has been and easily slips back into. Terek was a monk who after being turned devoted his life to loving all women. He faught wars against humans set on ending his kind. He has many kills to his name and easily does what is needed to protect those he loves. She has difficulty understanding how so much good and so much bad can reside in one soul. She is afraid that the man she fears will replace the one she loves.
The overall story arc of the Sons vs. Archon advances slowly. The Archon score some points but believe they are much further ahead than they are in reality. They kill a vampire named Sampson, thinking he was a Son. They attack Terek's vampires because they think the vampires belonged to Sampson. The Sons make headway with the prophesy and the bad guy from book 2 moves up the Archon ranks. His character is a little more flushed out and the reader is exposed to the Archons as a whole, who are much greater in number and power than we have previously been led to believe. This is building to quite the showdown.

Blood Spirit is the third book in the Sons of Navarus series, it is the story of Terek and Ilona. Along with being one of the Sons, Terek is a former monk and he has the gift of telepathy. Ilona is a feisty lady, that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, being made Vampire, without being given a choice. She is hurt and resentful toward Terek while at the same time being drawn toward him. While Terek and Ilona are trying to figure out their differences including why he cannot read her, things are heating up between the Sons and the Archons. With Terek and Vasilije's vampires under attack, the Sons must do what they have to in order to keep the their loved ones safe, and protect the vampire world.
This was a very emotional read, with a lot going on, and lots of glimpses into things to come, so be sure to grab your tissues before you start this one. This was a story about betrayal, sorrow, love and loss. Gabrielle Bisset has a way of pulling you in from the first page, and now I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

OMFG this book was so amazing and was like a tale of the middle east with terek and his women vampire's, an amazing tale of love and protection followed by the discovery of one's true love and the road taken to try and make love conquer all in a time of war, heart ache and uncertainty. The character's were fantastic all through out, and the story was a great love story, but also tale of great loss, sorrow and betrayal. The war is getting worse and all bet's r off it is now a fight for survival and the son's will stop at nothing to protect the one's they love and the vampire world.

I loved how other characters came more alive in this book and more understanding of the war and the reasons are explained i sooooooo can't wait for the next one

a fabulous must read addition to the series well done Gabrielle you made me cry with this book xxx

Terek is a very interesting sire that has had a very prolific life as a vampire. His story is filled with love, faith, and honor. He believes in family and has created a large one, but really has never been a part of that family emotionally. Terek is very physically in touch with his vampires - but when he meets Ilona- he has to feel her emotionally to make the relationship work. I liked theis story as we get to see more of the other Sons and the war going on around them. There is no holding back with the loss and wins in the story line- which can also make everything unpredictable.

With tons of action, mystery, surprises and emotion, Gabrielle pens another great book in the series and they keep getting better each time. Highly recommended for all paranormal lovers...read the whole series, you won't be disappointed!

This author writes well enough but I can't help but compare most vampire series to J.R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I just don't get sucked into the world created in the Sons of Navarus. I have read up through book 4 and I think that I'm done. I got all of the stories in the book sets and thought that I would like them more than I did by all of the 5 star reviews. Maybe the stories are okay for someone else but I just felt that they were lacking something.

Gabrielle Bisset did not disappoint yet again. I loved learning more about Terek and how has become the Vampire that he is. It was nice to see the he could finally understand why one vampire in particular finally touched him the most and what he had closed off in his life until he saved her. I can not wait to see what is in store for Terek and Ilona next.

This series had so much promise until this one drove it straight off the cliff. The love affair made no sense to me. It felt forced and fake. I still love the back story of the vampire drama and the prophecy but I don't think I will read further. I am not that curious.

I loved Terek and Iiona's story. I didn't think I would like her when she kept refusing him but I guess I could see where she is coming from. She loved her life and thought this would be a horrible life. Their love story was beautiful!!
