Str8 Boyz?

Rate this book
“Str8 Boyz?“ - is an unusual piece of gay pornographic fiction, where the characters’ sexuality is openly questioned in a Reality TV program.

“Str8 Boyz?” explores the thoughts of the male mind and male sexuality. It looks at a world where things are not always quite how they seem!

Eight young men, some straight, some gay, are recruited for a Reality TV program. Each has to guess the sexuality of the others. The boy with the most wrong guesses can get knocked out, each week. The viewing audience vote on their favourite boy. All areas of the house are on live reality TV camera feeds, including the shared bedroom. The only place without cameras is the "Boyz Den" where two boys can go in for one hour per day to "interrogate" each other privately. Gay ones will act straight and straight ones will act gay... maybe! When a boy is evicted he reveals, to the TV audience and boys still inside, if he is gay or straight.

How would you behave if you were in the “Str8 Boyz?” House? This gay erotic porn story questions if sexuality is fixed or can straight men turn gay? Given the right circumstances can there be straight men who want gay sex?

This is another fast-paced novel from Richard Peters, which hurls the characters from one sexual encounter to another in riveting and explicit detail. But the sex descriptions are against a background of an exciting Reality TV environment and describe the inner thoughts and dilemmas of the hero Bobby Abbotsfield. Can he pretend to be gay?

It is an XXX-rated novel and not intended for those who are under age or who are offended by male/male gay pornography, described in uncompromising detail.

“Str8 Boyz?” is a satisfying and stimulating read on both the homoerotic and emotional levels, rarely found in gay erotic fiction. Is this gay fiction or bisexual porn? Straight men sex issues soon come to the fore and equally, can gay men suppress their homosexual desires in this all male environment?

Here we find a straight man delving into his homoerotic nature and we have a genuine puzzle as to who is gay and who is straight. Our hero Bobby and you, the reader, have to work out if we have straight men being gay or gay men being straight! The whole subject of straight men and gay sex is jumbled up in this provocative, bisexual porn.

Richard Peters was born in Yorkshire, England in 1953. After a varied career, from working on building sites to computer programming, in the 1980's, he was a regular writer of software reviews for computer magazines and weekly periodicals. Since the 1990's he has been a prolific writer of erotic fiction. His works, while containing explicit, gay, erotic descriptions never fail to move his readers emotionally.

Unusually for this genre of fiction, Richard's work combines full characterisation with sexually explicit scenes. His writing style is rather unusual where the inner feelings of his characters are described in compact or efficient phrases, making a careful read rewarding. Sometimes a character's inner reality is described by irony, sometimes by humour, sometimes by emotion.

The whole experience of reading a Richard Peters novel is fulfilling on many levels!

He has written many novels and short stories and they will all be produced, one by one, for the Kindle. One of his favourite themes tends to concern the fluidity of sexuality. For example, straight men being seduced by other straight, bisexual or gay men. He likes to investigate the feelings and desires of his characters, as he believes sexuality is not a simple black and white dichotomy (gay/straight). He believes there are many shades of grey in between.

His exciting work is for the discerning gay reader as well as for other adventurous males, willing to discover the edges of their sexuality - if they are brave enough to explore.

This is a truly awful book but I just couldn't stop reading the bloody thing ... Bobby was a complete wanker ... the set up was completely unrealistic ... the language bugged me ... BUT ... I felt compelled to keep reading, and reading, and reading!?!? ... I would hesitate to recommend this book because it is seriously flawed but if you want un-remitting sex scene after sex scene with a shallow buffoon as a narrator, then go for it.

This book was hard to rate as it is very uneven. It features first person POV of one of the most immature, obtuse sex-obsessed characters I have ever read. He is both hilarious and pathetic. The premis is OTT and there is way too much sex. However, it has some quite enjoyable parts and does skewer the reality TV craze pretty well.
