I don't normally read books written in the horror genre, but this short set of three stories has made me intensely interested in learning more about this fictional universe. These three tales present a gruesome, horrifying picture of a post-apocalyptic world as seen through the eyes of two couples and a man in their final moments. The individual tales put a face to the horror; I was reminded that disasters happen to actual people, from all walks of life, and that added to the sense of the overall situation being one of humanity.

The only thing I would like to see from this book is more of it! I'm eagerly looking forward to future installments in print. In the meantime, I think I'll be checking out the author's website.
