Innocent and independent, Anna Caplin, finds herself drawn into a dangerous world of violence and gangs when she falls in love with two high ranking gang members.
Rival gangs, Logan and Carver, care only about destroying each other, so when Tyler Logan falls for a wealthy, college girl named Anna, the entire family of Logan must protect her.
Loved this book ...and the second one is even better and the end is so unexpected it left me somewhat confused and intrigue to see what's gonna happen next!!! I can't wait for the third one to find out!!!!
I really liked the idea so I thought why not. The writing was seriously all over the place. It kept jumping from person to person. Far too often I had to figure out who said what. I can understand how Anna could be drawn to both guys at the same time, but her back and forth made me dizzy. Flip-flopping once, maybe, but I can't see anyone tolerating her constantly changing choice. Flaws and all, I still really liked the plot. Then bam the cliff hanger ending.
Book 2 Magnetic Pull Continues right on with the hospital scene. Gang life continues as I am assuming gang life would go. There is bloodshed, loss and revenge. This book is a bit more focused and less jumpy. The right at the end she wakes up and it is all a dream...COP OUT but the soaps use it all the time so why not. Now Anna has a chance to at a do over and to make better choices.
Book 3 External Forces Anna is at the beginning and choose the same direction but opposite sides. Tyler is going to be her best friend and Chad her boyfriend. She goes to sleep and wakes up to another dream, a couple of times. Now I am kind of annoyed. Its like a choose your own adventure book, and as a kid I just didn't like those. Sorry!
I generally finish what I start, but for this series, I am not so sure. If it is the final book I will probably read it. I will say the writing has gotten clearer, but there still are some crucial mistakes (right spelling, wrong word..spell checked but not really proofed.
I have to be honest. This may be the worst written book in history. I'm convinced no one ever proofread this. The grammar is terrible, the punctuation is non-existent at times and the spacing and chapters are a joke.
That being said, I couldn't stop reading this book. It jumped around so much, especially in the books to follow, that it was hard to keep track of which storyline was which, or whose point of view you were reading. BUT, when I did follow, it had enough action to keep me reading. Lots of violence and sex and love triangles, but it wasn't for shock value. It did pertain to the story.
All in all, story was decent and an easy read. I just can't justify anything higher than a 2 simply based on the terrible grammar and spelling.
So this book was kind of like a car accident where you just can't look away... I couldn't stop reading it, but it was confusing at times. It went back and fourth too much between characters and Anna was going back and fourth way too much with Tyler and Chad. Talk about having her cake and eating it too! I mean really who wouldn't want two sexy thugs in love with you and willing to do anything and everything for you? Overall this book was a different, drama filled, interesting read. Can't wait to see what drama unfolds in the second book.
This book really surprised me. I thought I would just be a forbidden love kind of story, but it wasn't what I expected. Really enjoyed reading this book. It was predictable and unpredictable at the same time. It was a little confusing to tell whose point of view I was reading from, and the character development wasn't great but I enjoyed reading it and the ending left me wanting more.
