Eighteen year old Kyla Johnson has been forced to move from Sacramento, California to Seattle, Washington because of her father's job. Kyla hates the fact that she has to start over in a new city and most importantly a new school named LakeView Academy. Her life starts to turn into a roller coaster as soon as she steps foot in LakeView Academy all because of a guy name Liam Lock. His mood swings and bipolar personality have Kyla confused and also a little intrigue on her first day. Follow the twist and turns that will interlace Kyla and Liam as boarders are crossed and emotions are played with. What will happen to these two in the end.

About the author

Born out of Columbus, Georgia and raised mostly by her mother, with the help of her father. Hines has always had an interest in writing, even at a young age. It was only diary entries and small thoughts on scraps of paper at first, but then as the years went on, she started to put her words into poems and songs and eventually, around her young adult years, reading quickly became one of my most favored pastimes.

Reading books with interesting plots and imaginative worlds and characters was the reason she began to take an interest in writing her own imaginative stories. Hines became a closet writer; writing small short stories, even though they were never finished, just for hobby.

It wasn't until she became inspired by two of her favorite authors, S.C. Stephens and Nicky Charles, books that Hines decided to take a chance and post one of her own stories on a popular public site made for people to freely share their works with others. Not expecting anything, not even reads, she was surprised when her stories started to spark a buzz and people began to take an interest in the stories that she had created.

Taking the wonderful comments, votes and followers she had accumulated; including the support of her family, as fuel to build her confidence in writing, Hines decided to make what she loved to do most into a career. Now with her first self published book, which was just released September 1, of 2012, the first book of a vampire teen fiction novel series entitled Pain & Pleasure: Perplexed Love, Author Whitney T. Hines is excited to make her mark on the world with her creative stories.

She hopes her first book, of many, inspires people and gives them a creative world to disappear to as did many of her favorite books.

** FIRST OFF ** I just want to say that this book ends HOW IT ENDS because there is another book coming after this one

Hi, as you know this is my book. lol and I just wanted to say that my book is on here twice for some reason this one here being just recently added without me knowing. Anyways. This book is not the updated edited version and neither is the other one that is on here. But I still believe in my book and my story and how it turned out. The newly edited and updated version will be up and out for sale in a few months. The ending will still be the same as it is now for all those who have already read the book just to be clear.

I hope you like my story and I hope you become a follower of the series and will enjoy the books from this series as they come. thanks.
