Notes to Reviewers and Readers: The Blood-Hunter Race or Elders have been on Earth for several millennia. Use of contractions like I'm, don't or can't is not practiced. They use a refined way of speech. Also, please read the CURRENT edition of my books. There are several OLD editions out in circulation. I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side. Firstly I would like to thank Emily Guido, author of Seditious for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book. In the fourth part of the series we are back in the story of our star-crossed lovers Charmeine and Tabruis and the things in their life are not going so well, that’s obvious, right? Now Char is pregnant and as soon as they think that they are going to have a normal and peaceful life they are called upon to Athens by some Blood Hunters, ooh creepy right? On the other hand a new character steps in named Bathsheba and she is not very kind let me tell you and the news of the day is that she has some history with Tab as well. Will Char be able to uncover this secret history or will the relation and love between Char and Tab will be put to an end by the revelation of this secret? Oh, Lord Cromwell escaped, yes you heard me right, guys! I won’t give up anything else because I know that will spoil the read for you! The story is dark and pulsing with unknown secrets, thick mystery and eerie suspense. There is betrayal, test of loyalty, revelation of long kept secrets and power-packed actions. You will get it all and more in this part and the writing style of the author will make you believe that you’re a part of this beautiful yet dangerous world where the dangers lurk in every corner. The romance between our lovers is pleasurable as always and the side characters really outshone one another. I’m really happy to see all the characters develop fully and the side characters also had full attention from the author which brought out their true colours as well. The unpredictable twists and turns really made me anxious and the suspense made me grip the e-reader harder. It’s fast paced and totally intriguing and I completed it in one go. Go for it guys, you won’t regret it. Hope you like it as much as I liked it.
Charmeine and Tabbruis have survived the battle with the Elder Council and are expecting their new baby. Unfortunately for these two, they do not have long to enjoy the peace and happiness with their family. One night as the intruder alarm sounds, the majority of the family go out and meet with a group of Blood-Hunters that bring news of a conflict in Athens. But even worse than that, is they come with a warning that Lord Cromwell has escaped. During this gathering Charmeine, Percival and Athena are brutally attacked by a Blood-Hunter woman named Bathsheba. Soon Charmeine finds out that Bathsheba and Tabbrius have history together and he sets aside all of his priorities to care for Bathsheba. Will Charmeine learn the truth behind their history, or is this end for Tabbrius and Charmeine.
Emily Guido has written the perfect soap opera love story for Charmeine and Tabbruis. Each time these two find their way back to each other, another obstacle is thrown in their path that not only threatens their happiness but also the lives of their family. Each book in this series is better than the one before, as is the writing. Readers will enjoy the fact that Seditious focuses on the story of each of the family members, instead of just Charmeine and Tabbruis. Each of the characters become more relatable as they show their strengths and weakness. Unity, love, trust and faith are the values that are represented in each page of this book. Readers will be on the edge of their seat as they await to learn the outcome in the next book.

Family that fights together:" Seditious"by Emily Guido (Seduction at its finest). First of all let me say how excited I was to be reading "The Light Bearer Series again, this is the fourth book. I love this series because it's about "Family" wether it be real family or close friends, if you live at castle Charmeine your family. We are introduced to Bathsheba in this book, she's has been seducing Tabbruis and Dimitri for centuries with her alluring looks. I love the name Charmeine gave Bathsheba (bath bitch, LOL).They thought she was dead, until her visit to castle Charmeine. What Tibbruis and Dimitri do when they see her just about destroys their families. I was really angry with them. Percival and Athena, Dimitri and Hera's children are growing up, the family are wondering what kind of powers they have. The family need every ounce of power between them to beat the demon that's after Charmeine and baby Hunter. The Queen wants the BloodHunters and light bearers to come together to run the Elder Counsel and the prison. Can this be done? Shane proves how awesome his power is and Sandra is right by his side. Full of kick butt, power throwing light bearers and BloodHunters. I'm impressed with this series, the author does a awesome job from one book to the next by keeping her characters and the plot moving. These characters have become part of me while reading and I don't want them to leave my head. I find myself fighting along side them, cheering them on. I get mad, sad, happy, anxious to turn the page. I definitely recommend this series!!
I read these two books as a back-to-back read and loved them even more than the first three! WOW! The Queen of Light and King of Darkness are back with more adventure, love, trauma, and delicious vampire vs angel vs human stories.
The love between Char and Tab is put to the test as a group of Blood Hunters arrive at the castle requesting their presence in Athens. But, what they don’t know is that it’s just a diversion. The real goal is to let Bathsheba get to Charmeine, the very pregnant Charmeine. Char isn’t that easy to mess with though but before she can find out anything Bathsheba falls to the floor after giving herself an unknown injection.
Things get more complicated from then on. When Tab returns and sees Bathsheba, he and Dmitri both turn on her. Its obvious that something’s going on but Char struggles to figure what is happening to her husband. Add to this the fact that Lord Cromwell has escaped and Char and her family are left scrambling to uncover what is happening and set it straight before it’s too late.
The locations are beautifully depicted, the characters both new and old lovingly vibrant, and the angst and action so vivid you feel like you were there with them.
These books leave me wanting more! Thank you, Emily, for a great series (and for continuing it, lol).
Note: This is a review of the next two books of the series.
I was given an e-copy of Seditious (The Light Bearer Series #4) by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank You Emily!!
Where to start? This installment has a lot of emotions woven through the words, betrayal, love, evil, hurt, faith, trust, and sensuality.
Charmeine and Tabbruis are going through so much as their LOVE for each other is diabolically tested. It threw me for a loop to read along as they went through the heartfelt scenes that were depicted so clearly. The twists and turns kept me up way into the night as I had to know what would happen next. The characters are awesome, personable, and lovable.
I adore this series. Why? Because it speaks to the hardcore romantic within me, it leaves the sensual scenes up to the readers imagination, and it so uniquely refreshing.
I recommend this series to all the YA Paranormal Readers out there. Go Get Ya Some!
"Seditious" is the Fourth Novel in "The Light-Bearer Series"
Charmeine and Tabbruis are at home content waiting for the Blessed Event. But the Evil Bathsheba arrives at the "Castle Charmeine" and things go awry from there.
Bathsheba, the she-devil, has an influence on Tabbruis and Dmitri. Charmeine runs to protect 'Baby Hunter.'
Tabbruis finally comes around from the cloud of Bathsheba's attraction and tries to find Charmeine and beg her forgiveness.
Charmeine and Tabbruis have a terrible task because the evil Lord Cromwell is causing trouble and attempts to take Charmeine.
The novel ends with the real danger from Lord Cromwell looming... I really am sitting on the edge of my seat to find out what happens in "Ransom" the Fifth Novel in "The Light-Bearer Series."
Very well written series and great for Youth Audiences!
Book four is all about love, about true love and the difference between love and lust. Bathsheba is a villainess that you just love to hate. This is a true test of Charmeine and Tabburis’ relationship. Charmeine grows and develops under the stress of her sorrow. I enjoyed reading how the family deals with this very bad situation, and how our hero and heroine work towards healing their relationship. Of course there is still lots of action, and danger!
So in love with the characters! They are all well developed and the storyline keeps you hooked. I feel like I know them all! Please keep this series going Emily!
Seditious is face-paced and packed with heartbreak. Charmeine wants a happy home full of tiny children from all the couples at Castle Charmeine. What she gets in Seditious is far from her hopes.
Jealousy, danger, betrayal and a broken heart is what she finds at every turn.
Temptation in the form of a beautiful woman threatens her life and the life of her unborn child. The threat becomes an insult as Tabbruis threatens her and the baby in effort to protect the unknown woman.
Dmirti and Tabbruis knew Bathsheba long ago, and were blind to her defects. All they could think of what winning her, and killing the other...
You really need to read Seditious, if you love The Light-Bearer Series, Seditous will capture your imagination and leaving you waiting for the next book in the series.
