About the author

Allan Zullo is an American non-fiction writer. He is the author or co-author of more than eighty paperbacks for adults and children.

A native of Rockford, Illinois, Zullo graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1969 with a degree in journalism. His books include The Baseball Hall of Shame and Baseball Confidential (both co-written with Bruce Nash), A Boomer's Guide to Grandparenting (co-written with his wife Kathryn), and the Haunted Kids series. Zullo has also written articles for The National Enquirer, The Christian Science Monitor, Ladies Home Journal, and The Palm Beach Post. His syndicated comic strip "The Ghost Story Club" ran in American newspapers from 1995 to 1998.

Zullo currently lives in Fairview, North Carolina.

Silly book my son got as a free pick from Scholastic. By the title it should have been all about pets, but half the stories were about wild animals. Decent for a giggle and this book sure makes my crayon-eating, bouncy-ball munching, air-hockey playing shih-tzu look pretty normal!!

When you look at Bad Pets: True Tales of Misbehaving Animals This book has a lot more variety of animals and circumstances.

Cover
Firstly I don't like this cover. The brown of the fur on the yellow background just doesn't sit well with me. Also is that a dog? not only the color play but it's not the cutest pet they could have used. I have to say I love how they have the subtitle on angle under the dog's chin like the a crime number board.

Interior
Their short and mostly to the point adding as much detail as possible. They were really fun stories and I really enjoyed reading them. There is a lot of variety not only when it comes to the types of animals but the stories they ended up getting into. Especially if you compare it with the last book. At times it's hard to believe some of these are real but you can feel for some of the people suffering through what these animals did.

After Thoughts
Only one of them I remember watching online. It was nice to have more of a backstory to the video clip.

This book was just as good as the other books that I have read by Allan Zullo.
When reading the stories about the dogs it makes me think of some of the strange things that my dogs have done over the years. Very funny and interesting read. This is 2 out of the 3 books that I have by this author so I hope the next one is just as interesting as the last two.

This book has some interesting stories. However I feel like a lot of the stories are some what similar.

After reading this book, I have to say that the antics of my own pets will probably never come close to rivaling the animal antics in this book! Well…maybe the tricks our old Shetland pony Lucky might come close, but other than that, my animals seem to have been perfect little angels. I laughed at many of the stories in this book. But, I think that my favorite was probably the RV-thieving dog. While the stories might seem bland to kids who want the stories to be vivid like a movie, I believe most young readers would find this book to be amusing and fun to read.

I loved this book because it is super funny! I loved that every different story is a new tittle because if it is not you get all confused! You can find it at your local scholastic book fair!! READ THIS BOOK!
